  1. Thanks for the astrology Be. My sense is Obama sold out long ago with bills like the NDAA and drone attacks. I hope he will be exposed for who he truly is. Maureen Dowd is a pretty good judge of character. Her words ring true, truer than Obama’s.

  2. Hey! Found the brothers’ charts, now embedded.

mia, I’m inclined to think/feel the President is playing his cards close to his Vest(a), which, at 25+ Taurus is trine his Saturn at 25+ Capricorn and trine his Mars at 22+ Virgo. Perhaps he will give the media (including Maureen) a peek when transiting Venus (on the 5th), Mercury (on the 13th), Sun (on the 15th), Pallas-Athene (on the 20th-21st) and/or Mars (on the 24th-25th) is conjunct her. Otherwise, he won’t show his hand (Chiron) until after the below mentioned Eclipse on May 25, when Chiron trines the U.S. Sibly Sun (and Mars conjuncts his Vesta).

  3. Maureen Dowd in the New York Times has recently written two very good op-ed pieces on Obama and how little he is doing. It sure seems like he has been coasting big time since his re-election. I would not count on him for much more than the continued rolling out of the agenda the corporate/military industrial complex has in mind for America. I, for one, feel duped for voting for him his first go round. I hope that before 2016 third party and independent candidates manage to organize.

  4. There’s a glimmer of hope re: gun legislation found in the lunar eclipse on May 25. The Sun is at 4+ Gemini and the eclipsed Moon is at 4+ Sagittarius. The U.S. Solar Return chart had the south node (release) also at 4+ Gemini and the north node (path to progress) at 4+ Sagittarius.

Mercury stationed retrograde on November 6th, 2012, on election day at 4+ Sagittarius powering up this degree with his winged feet. On December 14th , 2012, the chart for the Sandy Hook disaster had Mercury again at 4+ Sagittarius. Now that the eclipsed Moon will occupy that degree – after 3 important charts for the United States also focused on it – the Sabian Symbol of an old (as in wise) owl sitting in a tree carries a clue as to how this country will resolve the gun availability dilemma. The President elected on Nov. 6 will follow through with this legislation with fixed Leo determination, whereas the other candidate would not likely have done so.

Dane Rudhyar wrote that “the owl functions lucidly in the night aspect of existence. His eyes see what men normally fail to perceive”. This eclipsed Moon represents the “night aspect” and the wise old owl, who has shown up three times since the U.S. birthday last year, once again drives his message home through the symbol of the sensitive Moon. Opposite the Moon (and the south node of the U.S. solar return – which was conjunct Ceres in the same degree of 4+ Gemini) is the consciousness symbol, the Sun. That Sabian Symbol is of “A revolutionary magazine asking for action”. Rudhyar says this of the Gemini Sun’s symbol: ” What is rigidly bound in form and convention tends to explode into formlessness.” As this eclipse chart also holds a T-square between relentless Pluto (11 Cap) opposite Vesta (11 Cancer) symbol of investment in family, and their square to Uranus (11 Aries) who won’t settle for less than a breakthrough, tougher gun legislation is still a strong possibility. Also, Chiron in this chart at 13+ Pisces is trine the U.S. Sun at 13+ Cancer.

Off topic, but of interest is that Amycus the centaur was “a noted boxer who died in the ring” according to Phil Sedgwick. In the Boston Bombing Chart, Amycus was at 22+ Sagittarius rx, along with Pholus at 22 Sagittarius rx, and Cupido at 22 Sagittarius rx.
I couldn’t find the older boxing brother Tamerlan’s chart here anymore but he had a natal Chiron at 21 Gemini, the same degree of the U.S. Sibly Mars, and they both square the U.S. Neptune at 22 Virgo.

The 3 Sagittarius “planets” in the Boston Bombing Chart square the U.S. Sibly Neptune in Virgo and are opposite the U.S. Gemini Mars and Tamerlan’s Chiron. The Sagittarian planets also were trine Eris (who threw the golden apple into a crowd) at 22+ Aries, which is the same degree of the U.S. Progressed Venus (who did not win the apple).

Here’s the symbol for the 3 Sagittarius planets: “A Group Of Immigrant As They Fulfill The Requirements Of Entrance Into The New Country.” Really!

    Here’s Phil Sedgwick’s remarks on Amycus. .

  5. yes, aword — i saw that story too.

one of the police officials called it “just one of those tragic things that happens fast when you turn your back for a minute,” or something to that effect.

    um, no.

this is what happens when you give a loaded, lethal weapon (“child safety lock” or no) to a kid too young to have the motor skills to color inside the lines, much less to handle a gun safely — not to mention ideas like “mental maturity” or “common sense.”

it’s not “just one of those things that can happen” if you understand that mixing children and guns is basically asking for tragedy.

    it makes me heartsick.

    Associated Press

“It’s a Crickett,” White said, referring to a company that specifically makes guns, clothes and books for children. “It’s a little rifle for a kid. … The little boy’s used to shooting the little gun.”

“Keystone Sporting Arms, based in Milton, Penn., produced 60,000 Crickett and Chipmunk rifles in 2008, according to its website. It also makes guns for adults, but most of its products are geared toward children.
The company’s slogan is “my first rifle” and its website has a “Kids Corner” section where pictures of young boys and girls are displayed, most of them showing the children at shooting ranges and on bird and deer hunts.”

  7. The NRA is in effect lobbyists for serious criminals — so that its clients can move more product. The “individual rights” ruse has gone on long enough. It’s the same BS that had farmers organized to “protest” in favor of the right to use pesticides in the 1980s, which was corporate sponsored (by Rev. Moon, the chlorine industry, yadda, known as the Wise Use Movement).

This is an old MO. It was used for smoking, too, but someone figured out that bartenders have the right not to be exposed to dioxin- and uranium-laced cigarette smoke. Now we are seeing a kind of clash between the people who are asserting their rights not to get shot against those who claim the right to have a gun. One side is armed and the other is not. That does make a difference.

Re Obama, he’s putting on a good show, but he didn’t do much to close in on those last six votes in the senate that would have carried background checks to prevent convicted felons, domestic abusers and terrorists from acquiring guns legally.
