Did you hear the news? According to a man who could be president, if you’re part of the 47 percent who will vote for President Obama, you’re a victim who has no interest in taking responsibility for your life and pays no taxes. If you don’t always feel like the ‘personal is political’ mantra of the Aries Point feels all that personal, and if you haven’t figured out how the evolution/revolution being forged by the Uranus-Pluto square is shaping your life, you’ve just been personally tagged ‘it’. And Mercury in Libra entering the Uranus-Pluto square today is doing the tagging.

Actually, Mercury has been playing here all week, but today it exacts its opposition to Uranus in Aries and its square to Pluto in Capricorn. As Eric predicted here Monday, the idea of metalogue has come to play — and Mercury just tagged it into the game in a big way. Bloggers and pundits and regular citizens are talking about how the political conversation just got personal — which, of course, makes it personal. The very thing the conversation is about is arising. Cool, right? But now what?
Mercury (the planet of the mind and of communication) plus Uranus (planet of ideas and surprises) plus Pluto (depth, fear, feelings, imminent change) works out to be one heck of an equation. Yes, all communication is relational. With Mercury in Libra, there’s added focus on the relationship part.
Communication in intimate relationships tends to go best when there has been some real thought first — as in, the kind that allows empathy, and clarity about one’s values, desires and boundaries, a place at the table. We’re talking about working inner to outer. Pluto has the inner covered, and is getting a boost from minor planet Hades in early Cancer. It’s the fact that these planets, plus Mercury and Uranus, occupy the Aries Point (early cardinal signs) that provides the outer (as in societal, not just your living room).
You may surprise yourself with your thoughts about certain situations today. Are you finding yourself open to things you have not been previously, and are you speaking up about it? Have you been denying certain truths that suddenly are not content to stay tucked away in the dark? Are you in a position for your words to carry further, and with more weight, into the lives of your loved ones and the wider world? And does it suddenly seem like a good idea — even a necessary thing — to let them, and to accept your role as truth-sayer, or example of integrity, or simply (gasp) yourself?
While you’re at it, since Libra is the sign of relationships, pay attention to who you meet today (and this week in general). Who are these new conversation partners and what ideas of theirs grab your attention? Do they seem to intersect unexpected facets of your world and your social circles in ways that hold some unidentifiable energy or potential? This may be the beginning of a beautiful friendship — the kind that spur revolutions from the inside out.
ah yes … the natal chart … that would indeed be interesting … thank you …
Actually, the one I’d be really interested in seeing is the Mrs. Romney.
hcohen — we’d have to take a look at romney’s natal chart (chart based on his specific date, time and place of birth) to know for sure, but chances are the indicators are there.
anyone recall if we’ve had romney’s chart on these pages before? i know we’ve looked at santorum’s, with a noon time in place of a birth time, but i don’t recall if eric has gone over romney’s.
I’m curious, as a novice to astrology, how does one explain the complete and utter callousness toward his fellow man that Mr Mitt displays? Can this specific verbal thrashing of the masses be explained by astrology? His venom disguised as rhetoric is shocking.
Help.
“Are you in a position for your words to carry further, and with more weight, into the lives of your loved ones and the wider world? And does it suddenly seem like a good idea — even a necessary thing — to let them, and to accept your role as truth-sayer, or example of integrity, or simply (gasp) yourself?”
I have been living this for a long time. It is not a comfortable position to be in at times because people dislike truth-sayers. Or as Robert Anton Wilson used to say, “They always kill the Gnosis.”
Every time I say the truth and get lambasted for doing it I know the person doing the push-back needed to hear what I had to say; even if they really dislike it. The hard part is when they attack me or question me; they often do not realize that being compelled to say it doesn’t mean I like being the mouthpiece or that I am some totally strong, secure person in myself. I may sound certain in my convictions but that doesn’t mean I am not questioning all the time those convictions; I am. The Universe often uses the most empathic but vulnerable people to say the truth in integrity.
Also, saying the truth doesn’t elevate me above anyone else for I also need truths said to me by others compelled to speak it. This means I do not have a superiority; I have compassion and a innate desire to help from a position of also ever-growing and needing improvement. It is all a process.
here’s a fun little thing:
my local college and community radio station is playing a BBC radio drama version of “the handmaid’s tale.” we used images from the movie and opera versions to illustrate an article in a subscriber issue a month ago about todd akin’s absurd pregnancy-from-rape comments as the sun was ingressing virgo.
now here we are with the late virgo sun squaring ceres and vesta in gemini (talk about a serious goddess message), and mercury plugging into the uranus-pluto square, and “the handmaid’s tale” is getting a public airing.
i can’t listen to it and write or edit at the same time, but if you see this comment soon, you can try streaming it at wmpg.org
it’s a short time slot for the radio drama program, so they may be doing the piece in installments. not sure.
I also appreciate that Mitt’s video came into consciousness the day Pluto made station, clearly revealing the truth of the Plutocracy.
Thank you Amanda for your post this morning, a good reminder for today’s important communications.
Amanda, thank you. Great point piece.
I had a notion stemming from the influences you reiterate and some of the comments today regarding our position and Libra’s role. As, isn’t it also connecting and relating to the timing with yesterday’s equinox?
As Len mentioned in his last article… “the new season will begin with an equinox, which implies a test on the subject of equality”.
Is not equality, injustice being resolved, inequity acknowledged and setting (the ‘balance’) right?
We should all feel empowered and a sense of satisfaction in following our ideals. This is what will open us up to truly seeing and finally accepting the opportunities to further our journey towards growth.
Thank you for the heads up drawing my attention to relationships. Many new conversation partners heralding ideas, potential…
Great blog, dear Amanda. Many thanks.
