Astrology Today: Oracle for Friday, August 31, 2012

Today’s Oracle takes us to the Pisces monthly for June 22, 2010.

Astrology Blog: The Oracle, Weekly Horoscopes, Monthly Horoscopes.

Your astrology this month is all about stepping into a more visible role as a contributor to culture. It’s as if a veil gets pulled back, revealing who you are. From the outside it looks like you have some kind of creative role, and like you take the chances to bring that quality into your experience. Obviously you’ve taken some chances, though you may at times wonder what good that did. I assure you it did as much good as anything can, which is to both cultivate and preserve your passionate approach to existence. Take away any one of those daring endeavors and you wouldn’t be the same person, nor would you be in the same place you are now. Yet behind that veil is something else: the ability to have not just impact but actual influence. You’re part of a changing world, and you’re part of that process of change. This is what becomes undeniable. Yet to get there, you must shed some baby fat and a few other childhood tendencies. In order to take on your new role, something about your old role must transform entirely. In your new incarnation you’ll take with you all the talent, commitment and sensitivity you started with, and leave behind your insecurity, abandonment and tendency to struggle. Looked at one way, you are about to grow up fast. Looked at another, you’ve reached an inevitable threshold of development that you’ve been eagerly awaiting your entire life.

Note, The Oracle is a random selection from the Eric Francis horoscope archives. Each day we publish one entry from among the 10,000 in our database. It’s a little slice of horoscope history — but chosen by our Oracle program, which always speaks to the present moment. New horoscopes are published each Friday plus twice a month in Planet Waves subscriber edition and Planet Waves Light. And for your 2012 annual reading, you’ll find Revolution. Revelation. Reality Check.

  1. I’m glad I shared it here – as soon as I read it, Paolo, it calmed me.

I have been feeling lately, that for my 53 years, most of what will surely be this current round of Earthly existence, I have not truly lived. Not truly become what I was meant to become, created Life as I knew deep down it could be created. Much of this thought was triggered by a feeling of professional lack of success. But, since my iMac died, I have been letting go of the idea of my work being what I should be doing. I feel no loss from it, but am also feeling a bit disoriented. I had a purpose to each day – a direction.

But this is just the latest in strippings. It’s as if the past 4 years, in particular, have been stripping me. First, of my health, which, like most of us, we take for granted that we’ll always have, then my home and garden, which I loved, then a pet whom I love, not loved, always present tense. Most of the familiar gone, saddening this heart, greatly.

And maybe I brought all that destruction down upon myself, not realizing the power was within me, to create the abundance and the health that was lacking. And just yesterday, thinking how wearying it all is, and wondering if I had the strength to let go of life as it was, and create a new life, a new direction, and dare I hope, that it could be ever more wonderous and beautiful than what I’ve left behind.

But, if one lets the “past drift away with the water”, one sees there is Now, only now. Those years were not wasted. They served a purpose. To get me to this now, where, like a phoenix, a new me can rise.

  2. Oracle’s been peeking inside my mind/life again!

Something else I read echoes my mind’s focus, “A Full Pisces Moon brings to mind the Japanese saying, “Let the past drift away with the water…One falls in love with someone who does things magnificently.”

Magnificently isn’t a word one sees/reads that often. Yet, that word has cropped up several times in the past day or 2. We turn our attention to a thought, an idea, a word and it becomes echoed in similar thoughts/ideas/words coming to us. Interesting Universal Law at work there.
