Today I attended Elisa Novick’s workshop Tree Play: The Heart of the Forest. It was one of the most beautiful workshops or trainings I’ve ever attended. We spent the day meeting some of the master trees in a particular forest, learning who they are and what they do. I will have more to say about this as the week progresses, particularly in the new edition of Planet Waves FM. For now, I thought I would reprise last year’s interview with Elisa that ran on Planet Waves FM.

  1. I was rivited by the original interview and have since looked for opportunities to meet up with Elisa, personally. It has not yet happened for me, though I trust it will. In the meantime, if it’s possible, I’d love to hear more about the workshop.

  2. So you really are a starman, dear Eric! Thank you so much for posting this again – I didn’t listen to it first time round. This time it was like a siren call – I should be working, but i downed tools and just gave in to listening to this amazing interview wholeheartedly. In fact, I loved Fe’s comment from that time “I was very drawn to this interview and listened to it while at work. There is something about her voice where you can actually access the emotions and the sense of grace emanating from within. She is a remarkable channel of energy. In so many ways, she is a tree”. This is just what I felt, Fe! I would love to contact her – and luckily she’s on skype.
The other day – a nightingale appeared on my terrace and broke into beautiful song. Some days later I was looking at my rosebush which has been decimated by both caterpillars and aphids. I hate to use pesticides – but was contemplating using a soapy spray to get rid of the pests. But something stopped me from doing it – I kept putting off the murderous hour. Well, a few days later, the nightingale alighted on the rosebush – and supped on those very caterpillars and aphids! So, I’m just letting nature take its course. Thank you again – this interview really made my day – it was what I needed. xxx

  3. definitely listen to this interview if you missed it last fall! elisa is amazing. i wish i could have gone to today’s tree-play workshop — hopefully the next one.
