The surprisingly, strangely beautiful world of hermaphroditic leopard slug sex. Clearly they must be Geminis.

“Even to a worm ecstasy is granted.” from the Ode to Joy
This is the most amazing, beautifully perfect things I have ever seen! Of nature, love, I am speechless.
It did turn out to be quite entrancing and beautiful. Thanks so much for posting this. I had Nina Simone singing ‘Wild is the Wind’ (on a streaming music channel) in the background as I watched it, not realizing it wasn’t part of the video till halfway thru. “You touch me…. I hear the sounds of mandolin… for we’re creatures of the wind, and wild is the wind…” It made it even more beautiful as they twinned together and turned. An amazing world we live in.
That was one of the most beautiful things I have seen in a long time. If only human couplings were more often that way, imo.
Wow! Just amazing Amanda – don’t think I’ve ever seen something so disgusting and sublimely beautiful at the same time. And strangely enough – the other night I had a dream about one such slug (though without the groovy leopard print), coming out of a pea pod (eat ya heart out, Freud).
Amanda, are you an ecosexual? first the dandelions, now the slugs! How does your garden grow? I never knew slugs were so beautiful.
