Today’s Oracle takes us to the Gemini monthly for Aug. 1, 1999.
Consciousness is the medium of reality. For all the debates over how the world physically manifested, evolved or was created, our real journey here is an endless stream of observations, decisions, and emotional reactions. Rarely do we consider the genesis of awareness itself. It’s arguable that awareness is the only thing that can ever truly change, or activate change. And while the notion of “evolution” used to be about apes becoming people, we now know it is an evolutionary journey of consciousness. The mind interprets the meaning of what we experience, and adapts to the necessities with which we are faced. We are now learning the extent to which we can change our beliefs and make the “impossible” happen. We are slowly learning to use thought to direct and create our values and emotional responses. The important thing to remember is that we are the ones deciding; we are steering the vehicle of consciousness. In this moment, you stand in a place that is at once unfamiliar, unpredictable and may be truly daunting in its power. You stand on the threshold beyond thought. What you possess — as ever — is a most agile ability to respond, and to adapt; this means you really can create a new universe for yourself from the exceedingly fertile ingredients available to you right now, in this moment. You get to create the choices that will take you to the next place in life. At least on the level of ideas — where everything begins — limits are perfectly meaningless.
Note, The Oracle is a random selection from the Eric Francis horoscope archives. Each day we publish one entry from among the 10,000 in our database. It’s a little slice of horoscope history — but chosen by our Oracle program, which always speaks to the present moment. New horoscopes are published each Friday plus twice a month in Planet Waves subscriber edition and Planet Waves Light. And for your 2012 annual reading, you’ll find Revolution. Revelation. Reality Check.

Bikram Yoga. 7 years in practice now, and I can personally attest this active meditation (not sitting in a quiet room on a pillow) but rather putting yourself (body and mind) in the most highly stressful situation (heat, concentration, and poses) is an intense training ground of active meditation learning greater patience, determination and self control which translates to all areas of your life. I know it has helped positively change my reactions and life.
Your emotional responses under your relaxed control become your awareness in the moment. It is truely an amazing practice elevating your personal, and touching the collective, consciousness. Positively affecting the emotional responses you put out there and universe takes.
If you can take the heat…
wow. such wowness is expressed on my face right now. Grateful for this extra push into the amazing future which is Now.
Wow. Committed to a conscious relationship marriage as spiritual path on August 7, 1999. Yep! It’s a spiritual path all right! Still together in a living commitment, still growing.
I think I remember this one! It was the monthly for the August 1999 solar eclipse. Funny thing is, I don’t think I understood it in 1999 — maybe sort-of in theory but not in practice (well, I was 19 — quite preoccupied). But this discovery of the source/genesis of consciousness, this “owning of” the whole process, is exactly what the last solar year has been about for me. How fitting that the oracle would spit this out right at the beginning of the true 2012 season, when I’ve been feeling so much resonance with 1999, the eclipse about to happen conjunct my natal sun. And now I’m beginning to discover my comfort and confidence sits exactly there at the root of consciousness, with nothing else to own or claim.
A huge ‘Thank you’ to whoever was that recommended me to read Christiane Northrup on menopause. Thank youuuuu! She says things – about reactions to foods for example – that totally respond to what I experience and I haven’t found anybody else knowing (yet). And all the rest.
