Mercury is retrograde in Sagittarius right now, which lasts until Dec. 13. We’re currently at the peak of this experience, as Mercury, a gigantic magnet, passes between the Earth and the Sun and does its thing. The same aspect that messes with computers also plays tricks on our (electric) brains.
But this time it’s doing something far more important: summoning us to global consciousness. Global what? Yes! That thing for which another latte is not the cure. Depending on your chart, current aspects might be pulling you into a crisis in your life, or awakening you to the long family history that beached you where you are today. And, if you’re awake, you’re feeling this moment on the threshold, where we have both the power of awareness and compelling reasons to take part in the transition that our planet is in. This is not a theory: in your life, that transition starts with you. Your conscious healing process will lead the way to wider participation. In this moment, they arrive together. Chaos has so much to offer too, just in a really raw form. But that’s what artists love to work in; the raw unformed material just waiting to become something beautiful and useful. It is tempting to look at it as so much dirt, rubbish, waste, that we wish would just disappear. How often have we finally attacked a chore of this type only to find something we thought lost (or stolen!) and then elation takes over our feelings and our body functions better because of it. It is a chain reaction of good stuff!
So why do I have to remind myself of this when I look at my desk? Beats me.

Now isn’t it lovely how things work here at PW? Until your question Serendipity, I hadn’t taken a glance at other objects floating around the current aspsects – such as Chaos. Well, and there s/he is in Geminii opposing tall these Sag transits! And I had not noticed prior to this that my natal Chaos is 3 degrees from my Moon/Eris conjunction in Aries – which is exactly trine Uranus on my AC — so there’s a load — Chaos trines Uranus on the AC? Hm…..that’s feeling like a might intense fire trine if you’re willing to count Sag into the mix. (The fire trine that’s still hot in my progressed although that’s Sun/Merc, Pluto and Saturn) Lions and TIgers and Bear, Oh My!
So – just validating the questions and the answers here – we all learn, we all grow. And thank you so much!!

I can’t thank you enough for your views.. I must admit I’ve been feeling mighty low with all this and your explanation and support sure make me feel so much better and so much more hopeful. I am grateful for the time you took in looking at all this. My heartfelt thanks.
I want to be free of all this doubt and confusion. I know I have something to give and want to do just that once I figure out what that is and how. I am 70 and don’t have the stamina I once had but there is a reason for all this I know and I WILL find it.

You have every right to be confused as the Trans-Neptunian Object (TNO) Chaos is conjunct your Sun (it was at 14 Gemini 28 yesterday and is a real slow mover). When we think of chaos we usually think of something like what our kitchens look like after Thanksgiving dinner. The fact that it moves so slowly, means you have been dealing with a difficult dilemma for some time now. Your Sun and TNO Chaos are conjunct the transiting south node (yesterday the so. node was at 14 Gemini 16) and the south node has been in that degree since the New Moon on October 26th. It is encouraging you to release something you don’t need anymore. It is probable that the thing you need to release is also what Chaos represents which could be a mental and/or physical situation or item, but if your BIG decision(s) is whether to release or continue to endure, your chart suggests you release it.
The north node and the Great Attractor are giving you directions to lean into and it might involve a partner of some kind, perhaps a brother or sister or even a neighbor. It can be scary to let go of something when you are confused and unsure, however, your natal Mars at 13 Pisces is facing an opposition also. Several small astral bodies are transiting in the 13 to 15 degrees of Virgo, and one of them, asteroid Astraea at 13+ Virgo is reputed to stick it out through thick and thin, so this could add to the confusion as she also squares your Sun. However, she will be gone soon, but the TNO Chaos will remain through the next few months anyway, and the south node will stay at 14+ Gemini until the end of this month. After that you should feel less pressure and hopefully, less confused. I’ve found that when the Moon’s nodes park in a set of opposing degrees for weeks and weeks it gets tiresome, but there is a reason. There’s always a reason. You will feel better about things by New Years Day I’m sure. Just trust your heart.

I definitely welcome your reply and suggestion to “Perhaps consider another means of access than currently being employed. ” I truly appreciate this. Am I not seeing the forest for the trees? Too Mercury? vs more intuition/gut?
My ASC is 19 Vir 21. Therefore T Mars @ 9 VI is in my 12th house. Though in Neptune’s house, I would guess that it should be helping. As mentioned, my natal Mars is in 13 PI 33 is also Neptune ruled.

seredipity: Please, may my service be welcome. Perhaps a different name for the confusion, something more expansive, broader, less constricting. Perhaps doing a mind trick of taking everything and flip-flopping it, reversing the polarity. Eric once wrote that planets in the 9th house “…work very well, if we bother to access them, They can easily be taken for granted.” Perhaps consider another means of access than currently being employed. Although you did not mention the degree of your ascendant, the orbital travel of current Mars retrograde could be a source of pressure to make those big decisions soon. What if you were somehow exerting the pressure instead of feeling it? Sure would make Mars a valuable ally if you could do that.

This has been an extremely busy period of transition for me: lots of interesting dreams in connection, I believe, with my A Course in Miracles studies.
My Gemini Sun is in my 9th house at 14 degrees 33 opposing GA at 14 Sag 02 in my natal chart with both squaring natal Mars at 13 PI 33′. N Jupiter is 2 Gem 22 also in my 9th house nearly conj Uranus 27 Taurus 17 also in 9 .
Importantly my Venus 27 Gem 07 is at the zenith of my chart opposing the GC ! My Asc is Virgo so I am twice Mercury.
confused? you bet. I am feeling the transits in a big way. I only wish I were good enough at reading my chart to make some sense of all this. I have some BIG decisions to make soon.
