Last night I dreamed that there was a mix up in the seasons. I knew it was fall, but I saw plant buds and some blossoming flowers, as if it was the beginning of spring…. In waking life, I have the same out-of-time feeling going on. Like I am so ready for the next phase of my life to begin (around partnership specifically), but things just seem to be going at their own pace– what feels excruciatingly slow for me. I’ve been single most of my adult life and feel eager to experience something deeper in a partnership.

You can share your dream using the link the top of the column on the right hand side of the page.
“there is def truth to what you say:
[As far as partners go, it has been my experience that when you are not looking for them, they come into your life when you are ready for them and not sooner]
and I’ve heard it many times. I find it underproductive though, meaning that when it’s said, it implies “as long as you’re looking, it ain’t comin”. And that is bullshit. I’m not saying you mean it that way at all.”
It isn’t what I meant. :::smile::: It means that things often happen while you are working on your own life instead of while you are working on trying to get a partner. That’s not always the case, but it is better to focus on becoming who you need to be because focusing on getting someone causes a feeling of lack and stops us from doing the important work on ourselves that makes us open for life in all its permutations.
B.C. – what fun! yes, i tend to think of the drawing-toward-winter in the fall as a contraction-type inwardness. but this inwardness this year does seem to have a little green spark of spring to it… an inward expansion instead.
Synchronicity! Here’s what I posted to Facebook on Wednesday, when the same thing struck me on an afternoon walk:
“I believe in connections between psychology and seasonal changes. For me, this fall feels oddly like spring.
“But if you look at the Occupy movement, it seems that may apply on a bigger scale. As if the light that’s diminishing is the glare that obscures. Getting back to basics. We all start in the darkness.”
The dreamer anticipates a partner, and the dream of spring is of renewed sexual vigor. Ahhh true love at last!! What a wonderful dream.
Welcome Sarah!
Should’ve said also since the song came into being in part through Cameron Duncan:

Another way to see this rebirth is of something coming up from beneath, in the same way that in the dream flowers and trees are rooted in the ground. In other words, something buried is coming into consciousness – and there is beauty in that. Hence perhaps the feeling of being ‘mixed up’ and a sense of things having to take their own pace: we cannot force something into consciousness, as much as we want to get going now. It takes its own time, and that is fitting and natural.
Carrie my take on the dream is that the writer is from the northern Hemisphere and the dream relates more to a strong new start in life, with all the strong pushes we have been experencing in the last few months in the astrology and being open to the flow especially this last Scorp new moon one feels in a whole new world and several people I have been communicating with at a wellness festival up here in Maleny today have been feeling a similar big shift.
Yes Maleny a very beautiful place in Australia where a huge number of spiritual/very aware people live.
I relate to the dream as something similar has happened to me, I am 60+ (dont feel half that) due to trauma after trauma, all part of chosen experiences.
Yes it is spring here down under, our winter in the middle of the year is not the heavy snow as one hears about up north although I have lived in snow country I have often thought those up north are the ones out of synch especially christmas as this is the time to head to the beach not sitting around a log fire.
I dont know if I will ever get to the northern Hemisphere but dont really care as there is so much I want to yet experience down here, and the feeling of hardly yet scratched the surface and with the experience of today I feel this country is going through a huge spiritual growth, what else does one need, not that other countries are not going through a similar transition, but as many say OZ is the lucky country, yeah I can handle that.

well, it’s comforting knowing that I’m not the only one who shares your relationship experiences and aspirations. Carrie, there is def truth to what you say and I’ve heard it many times. I find it underproductive though, meaning that when it’s said, it implies “as long as you’re looking, it ain’t comin”. And that is bullshit. I’m not saying you mean it that way at all. 😉 What I prefer to say/hear is: live your life to the fullest, don’t be afraid to ask for what you want, examine all the barriers that keep you from experiencing the relationships you want in how ever way you want them. Do all this while nourishing your self, keep doing the things that bring joy to you, bring meaning and creativity to your life. I’ll tell you that I met someone out of the blue, not expecting to meet that person or anything, and I fell totally in love. BUT my life was in a shit hole and so it didn’t work out because I couldn’t meet that person my half of the way. I’ve been cleaning up so much, not with the motivation to meet someone special again, but because it feels amazing for me. I love myself and the cleaning I’ve done. But I’ve never ever lost sight of my wish, my dreams, and my desires.
I wish that you find what you are looking for and the growth and love you deserve.
Much love to you my friend,
HS
true dat. my rose bush blossomed amazingly this year compared to the last six i’ve known her. i had at least 5 blooms from the new moon in august just after my birthday, consistently through to the new moon in september. she was more or less quiet the last month until this morning when i woke up to a beauty*full pink budding blossom. i’ve been likening it to my own blossoming so cheers to springing forth through the fall! 🙂

Whose dream is this? How old are they? Are they male or female? Just wondering.
Buds in the fall….well “down under” that would be perfectly right; they are experiencing spring in the southern hemisphere. Could it be that the partner might be from that area of the globe? Just ruminating by writing here.
If I were dreaming about spring now, I would wonder about all those southern hemisphere folks who are experiencing spring right now and how that must feel so out of synch with our northern hemisphere-centric seasons and holidays.
I cannot imagine celebrating Halloween in the spring or Christmas in the summer. Or Easter/Ostara in the fall. That would bend my mind a bit.
As far as partners go, it has been my experience that when you are not looking for them, they come into your life when you are ready for them and not sooner.
..crops are year round. 🙂
..the seasons run in their own time..
Love,
Jere
