  1. How is it that a bass line can make you want to dance and cry all at once, all these years later?

For every man who has lovingly applied eyeliner, donned a slinky dress, or has been fucked in the ass and liked it: a deep bow. You have taught me more about the cast away woman and about what it means to be a real man than I could ever put into words. I hold you in my heart.

  2. awesome! thank you all for sharing such a wonderful experience. wish I coulda been there … watching now is surely the next best thing, right?

9/5 is the anniversary of my mother’s passing … and it’s grand to open it up to all the other wonderful things that happened on that day.

thank you for taking me someplace new and worthy. I shall carry that with me throughout the day(s).
    mm.

  3. This fellow changed my mind, and hence my life, almost 30 years ago. First tour, first encore, “Jailhouse Rock” – who woulda’ thunk it. Artists can visit the most unexpected revealations upon one.

  4. Happy B’day Freddie — for yesterday, Sept. 5th.
    What a star you are.

“Turned away from it all like a blind man
Sat on a fence but it don’t work
    Keep coming up with love
but it’s so slashed and torn
    Why – why – why ?

    Love love love love love

Insanity laughs under pressure we’re cracking
Can’t we give ourselves one more chance
Why can’t we give love that one more chance
Why can’t we give love give love give love give love
give love give love give love give love give love

‘Cause love’s such an old fashioned word
And love dares you to care for
The people on the edge of the night
And love dares you to change our way of
    Caring about ourselves
    This is our last dance
    This is ourselves
    Under pressure”
