Mars’ position in this eclipse seems apt; not part of the cardinal square, but in a transitional sign, the (Sabian) symbol of “Aroused Strikers Surround a Factory” which Dane Rudhyer says indicates “industrial unrest and violence”. That is the symbol and Mars is the planet occupying that degree (7+ Gemini).
Rudhyer goes on to say “As man manages to rape the earth in order to demonstrate his power and intensify his pleasures and his sense of proud mastery, conflicts and disruptive processes are inevitably initiated” and he calls it a REVOLT AGAINST PRIVILEGES.
This chart’s Mars is conjunct the U.S. Sibly chart Uranus on the cusp of the 7th house house or descendant. In turn this squares the Sibly chart Ceres-conjunct-Nessus in Pisces. No doubt this Mars placement activates something in the charts of countries experiencing unrest and demonstrations at this time. In the eclipse chart he sextiles Uranus, squares Chiron, trines Saturn and is quincunx Pluto.
As Mars is not in a cardinal sign, his power lies in communicating and connecting with multiple factions represented mainly by three of the 4 cardinal heavies, but the element of shock and surprise is his ace in the hole via his sextile to Uranus.
