It’s not like you to tell other people what they want, but someone seems to be expecting you to do precisely that. Don’t fall for it — they don’t really need the kind of leadership that they’re hoping you exert. Worse, if you step out of your usual ethical framework, you run the risk of taking the blame for someone else’s failure to act or take responsibility for their own emotional life. I would not go so far as to say it’s a trap, but be careful not to get caught in a quagmire. If you do, insist that everyone make up their own mind and account for why they feel the way they feel. That said, remember not to take anyone’s indecisive tendencies on board.
