Today is Thursday, June 9, 2011. Venus enters Gemini today, where it makes a series of aspects to outer planets — first to Neptune, which is in very early Pisces, then to Chiron (to name two).
Venus square Neptune is a caution to be careful with money. It’s possible to be something of a spendthrift under this aspect, to overvalue things, or to see desire where it really isn’t. If you absolutely want to buy something expensive, I suggest you wait till next week. Venus-Neptune can also be a bit delusional in love. Give any new situation time to work out; figure out who this person is who you like so much. Venus-Neptune has a kind of spiritual hunger that translates into sexual hunger, which I rate as necessary beauty, though there is a reminder to have modest expectations for longterm developments. Venus also squares Chiron, which has a more deliciously hungry feeling; be conscious as you make your choices and do your best to be honest as Venus moves through these aspects.
this is yet another stunning photo! this and tuesday’s shot fill me with awe and joy and gratitude that i was able to be there to share that moment. the shaft of light was no less stunning in person, though different. all about perspective (and, i guess, lenses…).

No more delusions here and no new situations. Reality means that particular hunger has left me; that’s not to say I have lost my usual sexual desire. It is just that my desire for change or experimentation with another has left the building. As soon as I realized they didn’t have a connection with me like I felt with them, the delusion left.
I am a lot more comfortable with the status quo so I feel like I am back to what is normal for me. My best guess is that it isn’t time for me to grow in that particular emotional way.
Sometimes I feel like these kinds of things hit me a week or two earlier than the actual astrology that causes them. I suppose it has something to do with my specific chart; which I don’t look at often enough.

Comet C/2010 X1 (Elenin) is on the news. Jon Cainer mentioned it on his column today. According to Wikipedia: perihelion on 10 September 2011 and on 16 October 2011, the comet will pass within about 0.233 AU (34,900,000 km; 21,700,000 mi) of the Earth[3] at a relative velocity.
I thought it worth mentioning as the date of perihelion is auspicious ( almost 9/11 )
