Today’s Oracle takes us to the Libra weekly of May 22, 2009
You’ve been through a phase of review within your relationships, which has taken you into the depths of yourself, your own wounds, needs for independence, reassurance and fears of alienation. There has been an element of holding a crystal vision even through the dense fog and an important truth about a partnership reveals itself to you this week. They say the truth will set you free and it will this week if you listen to what someone is trying to say. Trust your heart above all and the great hope of freedom, adventure and passion you dream of. You may still have your doubts, but at least when it comes to a professional opportunity you can do anything but take what looks like a promising risk. Personally, you seek someone who sets your soul on fire — when you find that, will you shy away or will you get that great, big leap of faith toward happiness?
(The Daily Oracle is a random selection from one of 10,000 Eric Francis horoscopes. New horoscopes by Eric are published weekly plus twice a month in Planet Waves Astrology News and Planet Waves Light. The Oracle itself is a divination tool available to subscribers to either of these services.)

susyc, I am in EXACTLY the same configuration dynamic in my own day job. The very best of luck with your courage and risk-taking. It’s amazing how much awareness helps us – as we remained centered.
LindAword, I salute you. May your poetic voice find its audience in gentle echoes..

A of Witte – (knowing I need not explain but here it is) A few days ago I heard differently something Joseph Campbell said about prose vs poetry. it struck me soundly because it helped clarify something about the model I am building as framework so I can get my stories out visavis writing and film. The chlld-poet is significantly buried, but as you say, there is always the butterfly approach. (Not buried; morphing)
So your mention of “poet” is one of our PW infamous synchronous moments.
Thank you.
Thank you, Alex of Witte. I embrace your compliment.
Susy – Priya Kale; a link to her Cosmic Diaries is in PW right hand column. She had some of her earlier days writing here at PW and this is when/where I became aquainted with her work.
Don’t know who Priya is unless she is related to Sophia 😉 (please educate me someone!) but I am amazed by the assistance I receive from The Oracle on a daily basis. I do think the element of chance has a lot to do with it. Eric’s spinning of the Oracle’s wheel reminds me of the I Ching with it’s straws. Fate blowing on the wind. I am planning to take a big risk at work on Monday on the heels of some smaller ones I’ve already taken, laying groundwork. I’ve spent some time talking with people and gathering information and hopefully some support. But I also realize my tenure in this job is a work in progress that will only require increasing commitment. I’m on board, but I refuse to work in a fear driven environment. Teamwork and ‘win-win’ is my style.
Hey Linda (aka Mme aword),
So many years blighted by human toxicity; so many lives affected – epidemic. So many voices silenced – tragic. Out of all that pain and suffering we can only hope something wholesome is birthed as a butterfly, in time, emerges.
Why do I see you as a poetess, aword?
Thanks for your points on oracle and voice and for sharing personally.
Alex
Half. I enjoy so very much how you put into succinct words what I feel; my words for writing and speaking are still mostly buried by years of the silent screaming that abuse provokes.
“there is something about the randomness that invokes a sense of transcendence, which gives a predictive feel”
That’s it! snapping my finger; That’s what I’ve been experiencing too.
I hadn’t thought about the voices, I do not hear any particular one although the “flavor” can vacillate. Sometimes it’s as simple as hearing it as Eric’s earlier/older work vs now/newer.
What I DO know is that I have taken to picking and choosing to read a random variety of horoscopes daily, weekly, monthly – because I have found that in any given moment “well articulated astrological communications” offer space for profound interpretation (just like the oracle does) – especially as I become more fluent in the language of the planets – and my life education – the understanding of other people – is fuller if I “feel” the moving planets from many different vantage points.
The Daily Oracle is a more fixed version of this.
Linda
The Oracle never ceases to amaze me – a true friend and link to the ‘inner voice’.
February monthly are superb and in fact…ASTOUNDING Eric!
Thanks for this community, been reading along for some years now and will endeavour to post more gratitude but the knowledge here is far beyond me but I for one am gripped!

It feels like divine intervention at times, and spirit does work in mysterious ways. It means different things to different people, based on their needs. Interesting to think of Priya as the medium echoing words that help us find joy in the present. Doubt is huge word, but faith is larger, yet nearly impossible to teach. Blessings to those who can share and teach faith.
When you think about The Oracle, there is something about the randomness that invokes a sense of transcendence, which gives a predictive feel – not really Eric’s agenda when specifically targeting his writing. This makes the daily selection a very interesting feature – a little like drawing a single rune card.
It felt strange hearing Priya’s voice coming through.. a sort of dislocation.
And so.. any thoughts about ‘The Voice’ within astrological expression?
Anyone?
