It remains challenging to separate your interests from those of someone close to you. There may be a temptation, yours or otherwise, to count up the details and account for every possible twist on reality. It’s probably exhausting, and it’s unlikely to work so well, because reality creates itself as we perceive it. In other words, quite often what we see (or envision) is what we get. What you can do is take refuge in your devotion, and that will allow you to be supportive of others as a strength rather than as a weakness. There is no need to push. There is no need to raise your voice. Just open your heart and listen.
