Book of Blue, dressed for O+ Festival

This weekend is the first O+ Music and Art Festival in uptown Kingston, NY. This is the front window of Blue Studio, dressed (or undressed) for the event. Sarah here in Kingston did the selecting, editing and printing of the photos. From this angle, you can see Iris, Simone, Christine, Heather Fae and Dina Disaster. The model in framed image on permanent display is Sarah, in Paris. There is a brief synopsis of the Book of Blue novel, which reads in part: 'Exploring the mysteries of feminine self-image, vanity and selflove, Eric's photographs enter the difficult to access inner territory where one's concept of oneself is continuously created. The photos were made as character studies for a fantasy novel called Book of Blue, which explores several parallel realities (as diverse as the space program and a midwifery center) where conscious masturbation is discovered as an authentic, necessary form of self-actualization, erotic sharing and communication with others. Practitioners called 'thresholders' guide participants into a space within themselves where they experience 'coupling' — a conscious meeting from self to self, where the past is forgiven and where one embraces oneself unconditionally.' Blue Studio's display at Dominick's Cafe by Eric and Sarah. This was our official art entry for the O+ Festival. Captions read, Chill Out, Know Thyself and Let's Play. Models are Myrna, Catherine and Simone. Most of the other entries ended up as wheatpasted posters on the sides of buildings. I chose the more sedate route of my friend's classy cafe window.
