Astrology mini-site

Now that we have the server move out of the way, I want to do another project and I want your involvement — because it’s being designed for you. During a recent conversation about archiving Planet Waves, the best idea that came out of the dialog was to create an astrology mini-site, linked from Daily Astrology & Adventure and available to everyone free. This would be like a welcome area, to draw people into the approach we’re developing here together.

I’ve written many, many articles introducing people to astrology, and am looking for the most effective ones.

Would you have a look around? Then please enter in the comments area your choices in this genre. I figure this might take a day or three so no rush. The work can be from any of our content streams — Planet Waves Astrology News, our old archives (which are all in the same place), any of the annuals, this blog, whatever you want.

The idea is to warm up the topic of astrology, bringing new readers into the basic methods and ethics that I’ve developed at Planet Waves, and offer some good examples for how to apply astrology to live. Astrology is great, but it needs a job and at Planet Waves we consistently give it something to do, which is hold up a mirror existence.

We have some of our best researchers working diligently on this right now, though I’m sure that by opening up the process we’ll come up with additional ideas and suggestions.

Note that anyone who wants to comment or participate in the conversation here needs to register for this blog separately; the link can be found right where it says “Register to Comment,” below. Even if you’re a subscriber, you need to do this; it’s free and it’s so simple it takes about 30 seconds and even I can do it without Anatoly’s help.

For the next couple of days, we will create a temporary password for the subscriber area so that everyone can hunt around in there. Here is the link. Your login name is visitor, and your password is presto. Type lower case please and do not copy and past — type in the words.

If you are not a subscriber or are not familiar with this area of Planet Waves, this is the library; this is where the best of our work goes.

  1. Thank you for the response Eric!

That first paragraph kind of sums everything up for me, ( like really really a lot). I’ll have to hand that over to my therapist! sheesh.

And thank you for your wonderful site and your crazy ( by that I mean spirited and alive) astrology energy, and for talking about all the things we want to talk about. The heavy stuff and the fun stuff.
And the yearly forecasts- thank you. Oh and those Saturn in Libra transit event ( or something like that)sign by sign updates you posted awhile back- thank you!!

  2. The Cap Moon presents a difficult paradox, and the cookie crumbles a few different ways: when young these folks can be treated like royalty, particularly the girls; in both sexes it creates maturity beyond one’s years and cleverness and a regal quality. But on the inside, it may be brooding, sadness, a sense of being left out, or depression. The whole story of this Moon is about the development of compassion.

Debbie Kempton-Smith is brutal on this placement. True, her book is the South Park of astrology, but still, it can fuck people up if they don’t have a thick skin or sense of humor — and find out a lot more about astrology.

  3. I really loved your article on Capricorn moons.
Having read Debbie Kempton-Smith as a young girl, I felt like I had this dirty secret with my a cap moon. I thought I must be secretly bad!!!

So, reading your post yesterday was kind of an eye opener. I know it’s still a heavy placement, but I feel more compassion for it now…..

    Thank You!!!!

  4. Jayne,

Each time you renew, you get instructions from Chelsea. Also, on the top of this page is a big green button that says LOG IN. Check that out…you will see Planet Waves Astrology News.

We also send the same info out with every change of password, about every eight weeks. One thing we’ve seen is that no matter how obvious we make anything, someone will not be able to get in…so we plaster our phone number and customer support info on everything…

    Thanks for subscribing anyway!

  5. The mini-site is a wonderful idea, and not just for new viewers. For those of us not so technically savvy, the many layers of Planet waves, some accessible, some not, have been a little daunting and mysterious. For instance, I had no idea how to access the searchable member site, even though I have been a subscriber for more than a few years. There have been many times when I have wanted to look up something rather obvious, such as, what does the ascendant really mean?, etc., but have needed to use google to find out. I hope the mini-site will help.
