Jupiter changing signs, opposite Transpluto

One thing I’ve forgotten to mention in the midst of all the winter whirling is that while Jupiter is changing signs in the next few hours, it is occupying the last degree of Aquarius; which is a pretty incredible degree: the degree of group initiation and individual emergence into full awareness. If anyone has Rudhyar’s version of the Sabian symbols, I would appreciate if you would type it below. This is opposite Transpluto, a very slow moving point in the last degree of Leo: the degree of the “unsealed letter” — the idea that all thoughts are to be shared by all people. Transpluto itself, something I’ve only begun using the past year, is a hypothetical point (it has no body, just a position) that brings the energy of focus, narrowness, and specificity — be it used in a friendly way, or prejudicial way. I don’t have an interpretation for this, but I know it’s significant and it is definitely evocative; one theme that’s been all over the charts is the process of individuating from conformist energy. This is not something we understand so well in this era of history, but I assure you it’s something we will be learning quite a bit about. The place to begin is to notice where we give our power up to groups, starting with our family; and rippling out from there. –efc

    I really appreciated Judith Gayle’s article “Fear of Flying” on the inability to make good decisions when we are cut off from our emotions. As someone with Moon conjunct Sedna, this is a big problem for me.

    I know what you have to say to me about this degree of Aquaribus being in my natal Mercury. So, here we are at the point where Neptune and Chiron and Jupiter are hovering there as well.

    Today at rehearsal with my theater company, the Medea Project, we did a prayer-chant for Haiti. It was at first a group circle, which evolved into a chant, then an incantation and the sense of the words coming from my mouth going down into a vortex of time that one would say you were in trance. I come home and find a mass evac from Port-au-Prince, and aid flowing. At least better.

    We kept saying “All illness is not death”, and I kept envisioning the releasing of karma from centuries of exploitation and the denial of basic human dignity to an entire NATION since Cristofero Colon. The illness of AIDS, which affects 45% of the country, The illness of poverty and greed, which has plagued it since its birth. And the illness of neglect.

    Something is happening, and perhaps we are lifting the rock and the vermin of our own inhumanity is going to shrivel in the equatorial sun. That is long overdue.

    I love how Pisces begins with an image of commerce. I consider the open marketplace, literally, the farmer’s market or open market on the streets of Europe to be the height of civilization in its must human terms…of populism…which has an inherently Pisces feeling…
