Dear Friends and Readers:
I’m making progress on your annual horoscope readings. All of the signs are well underway; several are nearly finished. I’ve got some momentum and the project is moving along. The astrology of 2010 is incredible and it is talking to me. Currently my focus is on the 12 signs. I am taking one sign every day from rough draft to close-to-last draft. Several excellent articles are in the works, though I’m saving those for last (the easy part). Some of our best writers are also contributing articles. The artwork you see above was done by our very own Danielle Voirin in Paris, who worked for months to get them as nice as they are. So stay tuned, and sign up for Cosmic Confidential while it’s still at its pre-publication price of $19.95 for one sign or super-economical if you subscribe to Planet Waves or extend your subscription. You can still get all 12 signs for one price if you do that — and I promise you will want to read more than your own sign. At least get your Sun and rising sign. Check out the daily Confidential Diary for highlights of past annuals, info about the the current annual edition and lots of great personal astrology. Just a reminder — if you can comment on this website, your log and pass will work at the Confidential Diary.

PS, Among the many background projects underway is the chart resources area. Here is a free resource for 2010 solstice and equinox charts.
PPS, Check this blog for purchasing options for Cosmic Confidential. For now you can find them at the top right of the Confidential Diary. Those include the best bargain going — combined with Planet Waves or Planet Waves Light.

Eric,
Actually, asteroids are very poor copy. All they ever say is “Yo, Adrian…” or (when they are loquaciously liquored) “Look out, Bullwinkle!”.
What is Planetwaves all about? And Eric Francis….”International Man of Mystery”…WOW.
I just noticed that Eric called me one of the “lions at the gate” that sends protection and love to him as well as to the project that literally birthed me. It has been exactly 10 years. One decade since I first met Eric and wrote my first little blurb for Planetwaves.
Allow me to tell you all a little story. Once upon a time, in a galaxy named Florida I met a swaggering journalist in a leather vest who asked me to turn up the Bob Dylan music on the CD player. He had just started a website that published unknown writers and gave them a forum to discuss things they never had a place to discuss them in the past. This sort of thing didn’t have a name back then. It does now. It is called “Citizen Journalism”.
XXX Jenny
Len, I could swear you’ve quoted an asteroid or two on these very pages.
Thank you, Eric. When i consider what the 2009 annual edition helped me to prepare for, it is no understatement to say it was a life changer for me. The collection of authors is always very exceptional and they have contributed more to my education than a pack full of books. What a great deal! Fresh, curent information by astrologers who have it happening right now.
You say the astrology of 2010 is talking to you. Must be nice. The only thing that ever talks to me is my refrigerator and i’m so tired of its icy comments. Maybe someday.
Eric, just want to let you know how much I appreciate the work you do. Thank you so very much.

Thanks Eric, I really appreciate the reply. I’ve read your articles on and off for quite a while and they seem to touch on a many of my views regarding big business, the pharmaceutical companies and more.
If you could sum up your role in terms of what you and your team do – what would it be?

Hello Stephanie
I view our role as to raise awareness. I also treat Planet Waves as a talent fermentation pool. Everyone who comes through leaves with community skills, editorial skills, creative process skills and many other talents developed. We place a high value on cooperation and circular leadership. We are developing a client-centered, ad-free business model.
For the public we provide information, tools, context and aesthetic. Not just data out of context (for example). The reader is part of every story at Planet Waves. And everything must be beautiful, because we want to help people wake up that side of the brain. So everything is presented with the care of artwork, and our artists are among the most talented people on our team. We strive for a non-distracted environment.
I work from several philosophical frames of reference, which I integrate subtly. I’m a trained and well-seasoned investigative reporter, and this training helps sustain the integrity of our work (not easy, in anything ‘spiritual’ since it can so easily fly off into delusion). My spiritual training is God-centered and Earth-centered, so I have some balance there. I have kept a steady rhythm of integrating sex education into everything I do, feeling that the de-sexing of sex (i.e., it’s now just about all advertising) is one of the most effective components of zombification. Over the past five years I have developed the Book of Blue project, which is an intimate diary and photo library, which has had a profound influence on Planet Waves.
I was asked to write a bio by someone helping me with publicity. Here’s how I put it, in an astrological context:
Commenting on our age of alienation and paranoia, Eric wrote recently, “Going in through a kind of spiritual side door, I use an astrological approach to current events that reveals their direct human relevance. Astrology reveals that we are part of every story. This angle involves your growth and explains something about where you connect with the world. If you imagine what the media of the future would be like, it would not simply be good news; it would simply not be bad news; it would convey spiritually and psychologically relevant information that you can experience in the context of your own existence.”

My Wikipedia page is liked from the top of that document.
Here is a bit about Book of Blue.

Thanks for the opportunity to explain! Water [haha mistyped] eager to hear what you have to say about this.
Be well…lovely to hear from you.

I love this design Danielle. It’s very clever — job well done!
