Continuing a conversation begun several posts below, let’s get the ball rolling on the Flu Resource Area. This would be part two of the resources area — we’ve already posted one as part of an annual edition several years ago.
Jenna Dern, my old friend from the New Paltz PCB skirmishes, turned up in my neighborhood today, and while I went down to Dominick’s Cafe and made sandwiches, she researched several helpful anti-vaccination resources. I think the most important thing to have organized now is the basis of your objection, which in 48 states may be based on religious principles and in 18 states may be based on philosophical principles.
I told Dominick what we were up to and he said flatly that if mandatory vaccination came along, they would have to arrest him if they didn’t accept his opposition. To work, that opposition generally needs to be religious in nature; religion does serve a purpose, which is to codify your relationship to existence in a meaningful way.
The main problem with objecting to vaccines is mostly likely to be you. You may not want to get the shot(s) nor may you want your children to get them, and you likely have the legitimate grounds to oppose. But can you stand up to your mother, your husband, your child’s teacher or your friends, if they are all getting the jab, and think you and your kids should get it too?
To overcome this issue you need to understand this, and you need to be strong. If you can’t be strong but you want to be, proceed immediately to therapy. It only gets worse as other people continue to run your life.
Here is some of what Jenna turned up in exactly 23 minutes of research. She is a Taurus and part of the conversation was what it’s like to identify an issue and take action. So I challenged her to see what she could come up with in under 25 minutes, while I made us lunch.
Religious Exemption from the Flu Vaccine
This exemption seems to be designed more for children than for adults — though we’re all covered under the 1st Amendment right to freedom of religion. And notably there has not been a mandatory flu shot required, on penalty of arrest. Such an outcome is foreseeable, especially if people start to figure out that these vaccinations don’t work, are dangerous and designed for profit only.
Here is a resource on religions and philosophical exemptions to vaccination published by the National Vaccine Information Center.
This is not as difficult as it seems. It helps if you establish your objection over time (starting with when you understood you had this religious belief) and the basis of your position. Step one is you write an affidavit (statement) that you have held this position since such and such a date and are affirming it now. They you get it notarized and put it away with your birth certificate and other important identity paperwork. When you need it, you dust it off and bring it out.
You could also mail the sworn statement by Certified Mail to your country health commissioner, save the “return receipt” for the letter, and save the reply that you get. If you don’t get a reply, call the commissioner’s office and insist on one.
Here is another website, called Know-Vaccines.org, which offers detailed and relevant information about the religious exemption.
To wit:
All vaccines are made in violation of God’s Word. Vaccines are made with toxic chemicals that are injected into the bloodstream by vaccination.В All vaccines are made with foreign proteins (viruses and bacteria), and some vaccines are made with genetically engineered viral and bacterial materials.
A conflict arises if you believe that man is made in God’s image and the injection of toxic chemicals and foreign proteins into the bloodstream is a violation of God’s directive to keep the body/temple holy and free from impurities.
A conflict arises if you accept God’s warning not to mix the blood of man with the blood of animals.В В Many vaccines are produced in animal tissues.
A conflict arises if your religious convictions are predicated on the belief that all life is sacred.В God’s commandment “Thou Shall Not Kill” applies to the practice of abortion.В When you believe that the practice of abortion should not be encouraged or supported in any way, a conflict arises with the use of vaccines produced in aborted fetal tissue even though you did not have any other connection with the abortions from which the vaccines are derived.
Here’s more on vaccination and autism from Dr. Mercola:

Laks, here is a suggestion – prepare an agreement that your employer must sign for you to agree to the vaccination. They will agree to take full financial responsibility for any adverse health effects that result from the vaccination, over the course of your lifetime. You can name a beneficiary in the event of your death due to the vaccination and monetary amounts you expect for compensation.
I doubt they would take such a risk, and they may even do a bit of research and find out how serious it is for them to require mandatory vaccination.
LE SIGH……….. Article Source: Center for Research on Globalization
In a ‘Holy convenience, Batman!’ moment, a ‘unique’ flu virus (one likely concocted in US Army labs) overtakes media coverage of revelations that the highest levels of the US government instructed the CIA (and private contractors) to torture terror suspects.
Scientists said the virus combines genetic material from pigs, birds and humans in a way researchers have not seen before. “We are very, very concerned,” World Health Organization spokesman Thomas Abraham said. “We have what appears to be a novel virus and it has spread from human to human,” he said. “It’s all hands on deck at the moment.”
Guess where the first swine flu outbreak occurred? That’s right, Fort Dix, New Jersey, in 1976. Also likely created in a US Army lab. Thirteen soldiers died, leading the US government to force a questionable vaccine on the population — backed by a legal liability escape clause mandated by and for the pharma-terrorists. Next, people started dying not from the flu — but from the *vaccine.*
Every major media outlet has reported the fact that US/UK bioterrorists have been manipulating the avian flu virus in university and Army labs. This new flu strain, one that ‘no one has ever seen,’ contains avian flu. Now, how does *that* happen?

Rumsfeld’s growing stake in Tamiflu –Defense Secretary, ex-chairman of flu treatment rights holder, sees portfolio value growing. 31 Oct 2005 The prospect of a bird flu outbreak may be panicking people around the globe, but it’s proving to be very good news for Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld and other politically connected investors in Gilead Sciences, the California biotech company that owns the rights to Tamiflu, the influenza remedy that’s now the most-sought after drug in the world. Rumsfeld served as Gilead (Research)’s chairman from 1997 until he joined the Bush administration in 2001, and he still holds a Gilead stake valued at between $5 million and $25 million, according to federal financial disclosures filed by Rumsfeld.
At my job we got mandatory notices that we “must receive” this vaccine. When my boss told me this the first thing that popped into my head and popped out of my mouthy obnoxious mouth was:
“Fuck you!, don’t you remember the Gardasil Girls?”
Anywho, she had no idea what I was talking about like 99% of the time. And in case no one here remembers I will remind everyone who will listen that the “GG” ‘s are our forgotten girl scouts who died to honor pharmaceutical companies hopes and dreams of aquiring yet more more and yet more…. Things. (ie. money).
This summer, our friends at Merck murder inc. ; finally admitted (as best as they can) that maybe there Gardasil vaccine is not as safe as they once thought, or lied about (anyone remember these bright cheery ads?, if not think Doublemint Twins aimed towards the tween audience and their parents, so yeah like Disney Hannah Montana). this is after four girls died due to blood clots engulfing their lungs, and many many others had episodes of passing out then followed by seizures developing. Imagine that slumber party.
I think its time that pharmaceutical companies stop pushing things that they are not even sure about. I consider this animal testing on humans. It’s simply wrong and inhumane. I can think of a lot of worse things than the flu. It is also our responsibility as community members in a “free” country to speak as loud as we can on this issue, and NO not through text messages. We need to be heard, and it should be our free choice to choose wether or not we want to be vaccinated.
I ignored my bosses request twice now, and if my employers want to take it any further, than so will I. So If I have to rally around like a PETA idiot for my freedom of choice, so be it, I will; and I will loud and clear in hopes that my friends will join me.
Hahnemann–another laudable Fish, I see.
Yes, holographic self-censorship! But WE’RE not the one’s wearing the tin hats; they are. Reality deflectors.
Still…I think I’ve got a big roll of foil downstairs. Could be useful this October.

Still smiling at Shanna’s mitochondria joke…
This is an excellent and timely discussion. I just did a bunch of searching re: my state’s laws pertaining to vaccination. My daughter’s private pre-school required proof of vaccination, or a religious exemption form. I reworded the form I found to better express my personal spiritual beliefs.
Here is a link with some forms that may be useful to others:
http://www.unhinderedliving.com/statevaccexemp.html
Part of the pre-school paperwork included an emergency waiver giving permission to treat my child in case of an emergency. Above where I signed it I added language prohibiting administering vaccines without my permission (’emergency’ being loosely defined).
Before my daughter was born, I met a woman on a train with a mentally disabled son who had a severe reaction to a vaccine, and when she took him to the doctor, the doctor gave him another dose! We also have friends whose neighbor’s child died about 4 hours after getting vaccinated. So far have opted out on the vaccination path for my daughter. I don’t believe that vaccination is entirely a bad thing. However, children today get many more vaccinations than I did in the ’60’s, and more vaccinations at an earlier age (way before the immune system is fully developed). Dr. Mercola recommends waiting until children are age 2 or older before administering any vaccines.
As for swine flu, apparently in the 1970’s the swine flu vaccine caused 500 cases of Guillian Barre Syndrome:

There was a lawsuit, but when a pharmaceutical company stands to make billions of dollars with their vaccine, paying out millions in a lawsuit probably doesn’t worry them too much.
We have an “into the buzz saw” issue with mainstream press objecting or calling attention to anything that subverts the dominant paradigm; it is a form of holographic self-censorship that nearly everyone partakes in, not quite understanding why. Part of the issue is being perceived as wearing a tin foil hat. Part of the issue is that doctors can do little other than give an injection or a pill. So when you start questioning the injections or the pills, or saying that the meds are toxic, you can end up going through the buzz saw, or if you’re a Violet Ray luminary, you end up Samuel Hahnemann.

My point, even Sanjay Gupta isn’t even curious enough to question vaccinations. Bet if he had a kid on the spectrum he wouldn’t have been as cosy with Gerberding.
My state recognizes the philosophical exemption as well. As soon as we knew about it, we filed a notarized letter with the school district. We have not yet received any hassles about our choice, though we do sometimes have to remind them it’s on file.
The school district did not inform us of this right. I really don’t think this is a conspiracy on their part; most people don’t know about the exemptions as assume vaccinations are legally required. Most people aren’t curious enough to inquire.
Back in 2008 the head of the CDC admitted that vaccinations triggered mitochondrial dysfunction in a subset of children who began exhibiting autistic behavior, and yet this had received very little press. (Maybe because “mi-to-chon-dri-al” has too many syllables, I dunno…)
“This weekend Julie Gerberding, the head of the CDC, appeared on Dr. Sanjay Gupta’s show, House Call, and explained that vaccines can trigger autism in a vulnerable subset of children. This is the claim that parents like me have been making since at least the 80’s, and have been dismissed and even mocked for making it.
But no one in the main stream media seems to have noticed. Not even CNN. Not even Dr. Gupta who was sitting right in front of her.” (From Ginger Taylor’s blog, Adventures in Autism)
