This photo gives a good idea the size of the spacious kitchen at Poly Paradise, shown during off-hours. The kitchen has stoves with about a dozen burners; a soup stove off to the side; a dishwashing station with a greywater system; and a trash area with facilities for sorting recyclables. Food was kept fresh in an elaborate cooler system, where dozens of coolers were filled daily with ice. For $125, residents of Poly Paradise could eat and drink the week, have access to the solar shower, and also park their tent on the camp’s area. The camp had enough food, water, beverages and chocolate to feed pretty much anyone who wandered in off of the playa.
