We’re working on the astrology of the Iran election, beginning with this chart of the 1979 revolution. The two main factors that are affecting this chart are that Pluto in Capricorn is crossing the midheaven; and the revolution is at its first major maturing point, the Saturn return. This chart has Saturn in Virgo, and dates back to the middle of the Carter administration, shortly before the Iranians took the US embassy hostage and held the hostages for 444 days (leading directly to the election of Ronald Reagan and George Bush).
If you take a look at this cart (data source: thanks to Nick Campion, Book of World Horoscopes), you can see that it’s an Aries Point chart all the way. Early Aries is rising, with the Moon right there (see left side of chart, at the horizon). The little red circle with an arrow is Eris, the planet that caused the reorganization of the solar system.
Then Capricorn is at the top, early degrees — again speaking to the Aries Point. Pluto is now right there, on the angle that deals with government.
Finally, third major point: look at all that Aquarius in the 11th house, which has been taking transits allВ year and is close to the Jupiter-Chiron-Neptune triple conjunction. This is a huge turning point, and on several accounts is about to be activated by a series of events through the early summer.
