Good morning.
The new edition of Planet Waves Astrology News is published. Subscribers can read it at this link.

This week we look closely at the natal chart of Kaila Watson, about whom you’ve been reading on these pages. This article explores the dynamics of Saturn and Uranus, which we’re all getting right now, during the Saturn-Uranus opposition. Notably, Kaila was born with the Saturn-Uranus conjunction exact; and now we are in the midst of the opposition of these two planets.
This article looks at the factors that surrounded Kaila’s death besides her “choice” to use heroin, including the influence of anesthesia and also the potential of medically-administered pain medication throughout her infancy. Personally I believe that these or similar factors strongly predisposed her to her addiction pattern later in life.
Astrologically, we look at a heavily aspected Neptune, as well as the yod or “finger of god” pattern in her chart, which connects Saturn/Uranus, the Galactic Core, the Sun, and her ascendant. This edition also covers the 8th house of the natal chart, the Aries Point, and a configuration involving Mars, Ceres and Chiron.
Here is a brief quote from the edition:
One of the defining factors in her chart is that she has a very, very precise conjunction of Saturn and Uranus in the 8th house. This house is illustrated in the diagram to the left. The conjunction is in Sagittarius, aligned with the Galactic Core — that is, the core of our Milky Way Galaxy, which is close to 27 degrees Sagittarius. The Galactic Core sums up the spiritual potential of Sagittarius, and reminds us that there is, at the center of our island in space, some central reality of which most of us are not aware. In the 8th you can get a lot of “life after death” imagery, as well as the feeling of an extraterrestrial source of life. The GC was not even discovered until 1933, when its radio sources were detected by a very smart guy named Jansky. The conjunction conditions and defines her response to this spiritual influence.
I am indebted to my astrology teacher and colleague David Arner for his key help with this article, and to Chad Townsend, our astrology proofreader, for his assistance researching minor planet aspects. Tobi Watson, Kaila’s mom, provided many important details about her daughter’s life, and has offered her dedication and bravery to getting the truth out about what happened to Kaila.
Many thanks to everyone who assisted. It was another late night — Anatoly, you rock. To Jessica, our proofreader and horoscope coordinator — you are a woman of letters.
Catch you later in the weekend.
