You are either feeling pushed or determined to achieve your goals, and either way, working with some unusual level of energy. You have a lot going for you, and you’re headed for an authentic breakthrough — please do not push your health. You may need to be a bit of a tyrant with yourself about this; the habits you create now are the ones that will follow you for the next six months. Take this month and strive for balance. Build the concept into everything that you do, touch and feel. Whenever you’re feeling out of sorts, consider the matter of equilibrium. Eat when you’re hungry, drink when you’re thirsty and sleep when you’re tired. As the year progresses, you’re only going to become more determined to achieve certain long-cherished goals, build your vision and live your dreams. To do that you need to take the most exquisite care possible of your physical vehicle — and your mental one. Choose three or four things that nourish your mind, and do them regularly.

  1. Exactly 50 years ago…..Miles Davis……Ornette Coleman…….and Charles Mingus released definitive albums of Jazz that somehow defined Chiron in Aquarius for the second time in the 20th century.

The first time around ….we were still awaiting the humungous evolution of King Curtis and Louis Armstrong……both Trumpeters……and vanguards for the “Birth of the Cool” 50 years later….!! Slowing down Charlie Parkers’ Bebop was Miles at his most inspirational…….!!! Multi Modal……and Majestic…!!!

Ornette called his album “The Shape of Jazz to Come….” and featured the ridiculously teenaged talent of Charlie Haydn on Bass. But it was Mingus …who…in retrospect… and with perfect hindsight…. really nailed it down…..!! “Ah Hum” featured many memorable tracks….but “Fables of Faubus” earned him a place in the Obama history of the USA.

Faubus had been the Governor of Little Rock…Arkansas…when the Supreme Court ordered his State Legislature to provide transport …….. and protect …….African American children as they went to school…… the ensuing riots provoked Mingus to put lyrics of an outrageous nature to his tune…!! Strange that Bill Clinton arrived less than 30 years later…!!

Today…Mingus is …quite rightly……. seen as one of many….whose courage allows Obama to actually be here……..!!!

    Chiron …in Aquarius…….!!

Perhaps ..we are now sowing the same seeds of love and hope…in Africa………for the return in 2040 something……!!

    this….is the unforgettable….Miles….and John Coltrane………
