Wednesday Audio: Conjunctions in Capricorn, Aquarius

Good morning, cousins!

Today ‘s weekly audio looks at two conjunctions that are now active: Venus, Vesta and Pluto in Capricorn, and Sun, Mars and Nessus in Aquarius.

These two conjunctions seem to represent the female and male polarities, respectively, of sexual healing processes that are underway. One involves the dismantling of shame around female desire and lust, and the other is dismantling the notion that everyone with a penis is armed and dangerous.

If you’re interested in reading more about the examples I cover, here is the story about the 19th century brothel now being excavated in Boston, and here is something recent about Julian Assange.

Today’s audio lasts about 25 minutes and has more of my thoughts on Chiron in Pisces as well.

The presentation will appear in the old player soon in its usual location. The new player is the nifty gray icon below. Enjoy.

Yours & truly,

Eric Francis

Well, meanwhile, this deserves a bit of attention, in this current stewpot:

Made more significant by the fact that Omar Suleiman whom the US is backing as Mubarak’s replacement was the CIA’s “extraordinary renditions” contact in Egypt…..

    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/wikileaks/8314475/WikiLeaks-Egyptian-torturers-trained-by-FBI.html

WikiLeaks: Egyptian ‘torturers’ trained by FBI
The US provided officers from the Egyptian secret police with training at the FBI, despite allegations that they routinely tortured detainees and suppressed political opposition.

According to leaked diplomatic cables, the head of the Egyptian state security and investigative service (SSIS) thanked the US for “training opportunities” at the FBI academy in Quantico, Virginia. The SSIS has been repeatedly accused of using violence and brutality to help prop up the regime of President Hosni Mubarak. In April, 2009, the US ambassador in Cairo stated that “Egypt’s police and domestic security services continue to be dogged by persistent, credible allegations of abuse of detainees.

“The Interior Ministry uses SSIS to monitor and sometimes infiltrate the political opposition and civil society. SSIS suppresses political opposition through arrests, harassment and intimidation.”

In October, 2009, “credible” human rights lawyers representing alleged Hizbollah detainees provided details of the techniques employed by the SSIS. The cable states: “The lawyers told us in mid-October that they have compiled accounts from several defendants of GOE [Government of Egypt] torture by electric shocks, sleep deprivation, and stripping them naked for extended periods.

“The lawyers believe the accounts to be credible.”

uh, hi. i turned off my radio when i heard sex scandal. so don’t care. how bout some fuckin health care! can i say that? grr. ok. has anybody ever noticed how absolutely hilarious the sex crime videos, i mean the sexual harassment movies they make you watch at work are? HIGH LARIOUS. just sayin.

aword — that was my take on his pose too, until i realized he’s probably just flexing his bicep with unfortunate hand positioning.

what kills me is that he apparently lied about his age, marital status and job. really? in the age of google he thought he could get away with that while working as a visible PUBLIC servant? good grief. i’m willing to bet the woman on craigslist wouln’t have bothered leaking the photo if he hadn’t lied to her about those things.

so really, the scandal doesn’t seem to hinge on the shirtless photo the way the news seems to be putting it (when i read the headline i thought he must have emailed a topless photo of the woman… what’s so taboo about a shirtless photo of a man?), but rather on his marital status & lying hypocrisy.

    again: good grief.

whew! ok, good. I’m done being childish for the moment.

But good to see ‘em starting to drop. (not the pants so much).

  5. awordedgewise awordedgewise says:

Fe, Hilarious! I lol his pix of himself holding his fist in “jerk-off” position but with his conservative trousers still zipped up. Craigslist? Really? One more moron flew off a building.

  6. tatonnement says:

    thank you amanda and anatoly.

eric- just wow. maybe these aspects are just tuned up to my chart but i’m feeling exactly this. two nights in the recent past i awoke in the middle of the night scribbling pages about sex that i plan to give to my lover (who’s also my husband) this weekend. one letter, the first, was about what i want from him i feel he internalized this sun-mars-nessus in aquarius (“male sexual burden as male desire being perceived as a form of attack”). i never asked for so much consideration and equality. i don’t want it. letter two was about the ways that i’ve held us back from reaching the heights we crave. venus-vesta-pluto in capricorn (“a healing process unfolding in women designed to unravel some of the painful denial and shame associated wtih female sexual desire”). i don’t normally think of myself as inhibited but it’s just been a breakthrough in the past few days to see where i actually am. i hope this works. i think it’s going to be quite a surprising valentines day gift (a book about fantasies and these letters). oh and the pluto mashup is right near my lover’s sun.

Don’t know exactly how this ties in, but one of NY’s congressmen, Chris Lee (R-NY26) has just resigned from his office after being outed soliciting sex on Craigslist.

He’s got a pretty nice bod for a 46 year old.

Well, to celebrate Chiron ingressing Pisces at 3 p.m. yesterday I noted a distinct dive on the health front. Sick again. That’s 4 times since I started my ‘new life’ of 2 jobs, teenager, driving all day and –more uncharacteristically– no creative work.

I spent almost 2 hours in traffic yesterday that rivaled that of Mexico City. Already unable to breathe, by the time I got home my body started boiling and churning all sorts of fun liquids.

Feeling a little bit like Macondo, in both senses (the magical realist village and the oil rig).

    Bleh.

Thanks Eric :-) Interesting and exciting times indeed – what a journey for us all

I listened back through and let myself get grounded in it this time (your blog did not raise my anger today; it was other stuff; and a high level of anger is rare in me) — so this time I listened and just relaxed into your thoughts – and found some useful grounding.

I suppose Chyron just moving onto my natal sun is inspiring a rise in energy about emotional wounds too.

So good – good times for channelling that energy into living differently.

    Thanks, Eric. Another wonderful blog.

oh ya and something about Mercury opposing Uranus. Well, gotta get fired up sometime. Guess our Send-off day for Chiron in Pisces is as good a day as any!

ooooo and tomorrorw Moon Squares Chiron. Ok then. Off to a grand-start for that Chiron opposing Pluto stuff and whatever follows these Healing Years.

    “Things in Progress” for sure!

    With regard to Julian Assange:
Melbourne staged a televised satellite (Skype) meeting with him Friday 4th of February 2011, 1000 people gathered at a GetUP organised event at Melbourne’s Federation Square and we heard a number of speakers discuss the threat to liberty posed by the assault on both Wikileaks and Julian Assange. Speakers included: Jennifer Robinson (Assange’s UK lawyer), Adam Bandt (Federal MP for Melbourne), Peter Gordon (Principal of Gordon Legal), Lizzie O’Shea, (Melbourne public interest solicitor) and Christopher Warren ( Federal Secretary of the Media, Entertainment & Arts Alliance). Julian Assange (via an exclusive address recorded for that meeting spoke himself which can be watched on Youtube

What I’m looking for is the GASA* in my area.

I know my history; I can see the events in my life plain as day that gave rise to Guilt and Shame, but even therapy has not yet held space to heal these acts of torture, deceit and terror by people who were in position to be (childs view: “supposed to be” ) loving and supportive.

    *Guilt and Shame Anonymous

I highly recommend this area of focus to any up-n-coming therapists-with-integrity.

(I’m unusually angry today. Maybe it’s a Chiron Opposing Pluto thing – or Moon Squaring Venus and Uranus, or Opposing Jupiter and Neptune. But, I vote for GASA anyway….)

Thanks Eric – for getting us down to brass-tacks.

  14. Amanda Painter Amanda Painter says:

fixed! there was a typo in the link. thanks anatoly.

  15. Amanda Painter Amanda Painter says:

tatonnement — just tried it & saw the 404 message. i’ll ask anatoly about it.

  16. tatonnement says:

I know, I’m terribly intrigued but the link to the old player isn’t working for me and the new player never works on my phone :(

  17. Amanda Painter Amanda Painter says:

ok, haven’t listened to the audio yet, but just the description here seems to have such direct ties to the initially-inscrutable cavalcade of weird dreams i had last night, ihad to laugh out loud.

    damn…
