Hey GG, I agree — that’s a lovely photo of Rexcroft Farm peppers!
Thanks also for this informative post.
In addition, let’s also wish a very Happy 70th B’day to one helleva synergizer himself, Mr. John Lennon, and toast his twinkling star in the heavens tonight. Something tells me he shone his energy on Petaluma, California and on the first Global Transition Synergizer! I’m sure he would have been there if he had lived.

“We all shine on,
Like the moon and the stars and the sun.”
Nice pic.
Just want to say to the tribe here on PW, which I consider an enlightened bunch, pls check out the latest New Moon Update from Pachamama Alliance.
I really like their coining of the word, a “Synergizer.”
May we all be wise Synergizers together!
xoxo

Synergizing a Global Transition
Many of us feel that a global transition to a just, sustainable and fulfilled world is needed, and we can even see it beginning to happen. But is it happening fast enough or with enough coherence? Will millions of organizations working separately really make the difference? If not, what we need is to “synergize” our work.
In the first Global Transition Synergizer held in September in Petaluma, California, 64 leading visionaries and pathmakers who are actively engaged in the work of global transition came together with a great team of facilitators and many enthusiastic volunteers.
This unique gathering was intended to “launch an emergent social process, including convening’s held in various parts of the world organized geographically or around critical issues, to facilitate participation of diverse organizations and cultures in accelerating our transition to a world that works for all.”
Because this meeting was not a conference or a meeting or a summit, we had to coin a new word – a ‘Synergizer.’ People got deeply in touch with the deep human values that each of desires to be manifest in the world. A common vision of this world emerged through people working together to create goals that, if achieved, would mean we are now on course toward a just, sustainable and fulfilling world.
The participants worked to create a “map” of the process of transition to this new world, and then formed continuing working “patches” or teams organized around some of the highest priority areas.
For example, there is a whole new alliance, preliminarily called the “Widening Circle Alliance” comprised of 12 organizations that are all dedicated to working together to build a “Global Citizens’ Movement.” There is another group clarifying a narrative that we all can use to describe this time in history. And another working on a white paper on what forces are at play in the world that tend to keep the status quo in place.
Another exciting outcome is the success of a truly new format for weaving together goals and projects a diverse people and organizations. The spirit of working together was strong, and in the words of Harry Truman, “It is amazing what you can accomplish when no one is worried about who gets the credit.”
The gathering was not an end in itself or but rather was the beginning of a process to ultimately catalyze and accelerate the growing ‘global transition movement’ and one measure of success is that group is now actively working on creating “Global Synergizer 2!”
This event was organized by a coalition comprised by The Pachamama Alliance, Tellus Institute, World Transforming Initiatives, Foundation for Conscious Evolution, Planetize the Movement, and The Club of Budapest.
