Now

If you look, you will see, and if you see, you will see the light. There will always be sorrows in the world to focus on, and usually they will be those of other people. And while you have more than your share of worldly concerns in this lifetime — born of the fact that you have more than your share of worldly awareness — in this particular moment, most of those concerns are quite optional. They are, in a sense, born of your personal myth. It was Joseph Campbell who pronounced all the myths dead. The myths are, viewed one way, images of our predecessors’ efforts to deal with the events of their world, and in them we may catch a glimpse of the seeds of our own troubles from the distant past. I am here to remind you that you are writing a new story, a new song; you are seeing a new vision.

This commentary was completely timely for me today. the now of it all spoke to me. I was processing some Isis Osiris mythology from my dream world that was especially poignant. I appreciated the Joseph Campbell reference. I am working on creating new forms of reference for the sense of isolation and abandonment. I guess my chiron is strong right now. thank you

Not remotely ironic that I’ve just two days ago I’ve taken Joesph Campbell’s books home from the library needing to review him and in searching for mySelf realizing oh so consciously that sex and myth are huge passions of mine (oh deniall had been strongly implanted) – and the ‘myths’ of our current state of sexuality and even the Hero’s Journey are all morphing at warp speed……..

Such a beautiful place we are!
