New edition on its way

New edition of Planet Waves Astrology News.

The new edition of Planet Waves Astrology News is on its way to subscribers. This issue spotlights next week’s Equinox — always an important event, this time it arrives with a highly-charged Full Moon on the Aries Point. That’s right: just when you thought those early cardinal signs were easing up, the tension starts to build again. Now, however, we have the Jupiter-Uranus conjunction in Pisces in the mix: “some of the most creative, inventive, beautiful astrology anyone could dream up. Many brilliant ideas that manifest over the next decade will have their genesis in these weeks.” This issue also looks at the shadow side of this creativity at play in the current political landscape and asks what we need to do to harness it for our own growth. To give yourself or a friend this gift of insight and opportunity, complete with horoscopes for all 12 signs, buy this single issue here for $2.95. If you know Planet Waves is part of your long-term path and the time has arrived to commit to your Self, a six-month subscription is available here.

  1. Patty, I absolutely Love You! With everything I’ve got. I take some red cheeks here, but I am in full awareness that I “cuss”, not “curse”. Language, for me, is an experiment in understanding: ‘fuck’ being a fine example of the elasticity in language. Imagine a word with so many conotations, it can practically subject and predicate! That’s impressive! Now, imagine a word such as ‘Curse’,.. slightly different?.. (That one hurts a bit on the inside.)

It’s not the terminology that the youngster’s are being subjected to these days, as much as it is the power and sway that is held within our collective History to Define and (attempt to stabalize an etiquette of vocalizations) manipulate words within the context of manipulating others. That’s just not cool however you put it.

..I’m with ya cat,.. some of us are a bit bumpy.. I still Love you with all my Heart!

    Your Friend,

    Jere

  2. The only thing that bothers me is the overuse of the ‘f’ word as a curse. If you really want the younger generation to embrace a different paradigm, now is the time to build a new bridge with new words.

The astrology profiles on the political are what draw me to the website, but not the personal views of some of the writers. If you tell me neptune is rising at an event, that’s real news! I draw my own conclusions.

  3. Well, I am drawn to the word “news” always. I always want the news, I want all of it, I want the new news not the old news, I want the news that no one even knows is news yet, I am always looking for anything that is the news. Most of what calls itself news is old and unsatisfying. My appetite for true new news is boundless. I find it here more consistently than anywhere else, in fact.

So maybe Zoe and I are at the two ends of the continuum hahaha I was gonna say curriculum and maybe that too. Neither right nor wrong nor value difference intended by me in that observation of relative placement on a scale.

Eric, do I recall there was a time a while ago when you withdrew a bit from news, said you were not going to do geopolitics anymore but focus on your other loves? Forgive me if I am making up a memory here….. but anyway, I do have that memory and at that time I also remember losing interest a bit, because the news, the geopolitical view from an astro perspective, was always what drew me and struck me as unique about this body of work. And the way that informs the more personal astrology that is shared here is an added bonus.

There’s my loose change of the evening.

    Have a beautiful weekend, everyone.

  4. haha yes Linda, it is goooood…… but not for the faint of heart!

i keep trying to push through the walls though….

and half de witte. I love this… ” Therefore don’t trigger the “don’t want” receptors and make your product in actuality/visibility/visuality the antithesis of their alienated experiences.”

  5. hahaha zoe, ya – don’t we wish there was a “pause and reflect” button prior to “post”!

and because response is almost always reactionary, using text edit or such before hand just isn’t an option…:=X

    and I think that’s goooooood.

  6. The vision is one thing, the market quite another. Often, if the relationship between them is not kept at the forefront of consciousness, an incommensurable modality can gently seep in.

Economic necessities often lead to taking one’s eye off the visionary ball – that’s life.

zk’s observations should be taken very seriously in my opinion. And, in terms of this question of brand, ‘news’ is bad news. Only serious people, who are already receptive, will buy in. Same with Political Waves – turns off most people (that’s just how it is, not any kind of criticism).

The way to debunk the weightiness of ‘news’ could simply be to employ a synonym or some alternative hook – your Search Engine Optimization might need to be tweaked! But these are pure business considerations.

Personally, I don’t favor making a product fit into a consumer mentality (you can sell lots of mediocrity at a huge profit because people have been conditioned stupid). Keep developing your shit hot product and make it stand out from your competitors.

People notoriously understand more what they don’t want than what they do want: Therefore don’t trigger the “don’t want” receptors and make your product in actuality/visibility/visuality the antithesis of their alienated experiences.

  7. well. I was doing a little personal venting I guess, or more like admittance. Everyone has a different relationship to the word “news”. I think it’s a graduation really, for me at least. I first came here looking for basic personal things like sun sign forecasts. (Which is where I think many people interested in astrology start, and then hopefully they take it to a more holistic level). Then I became more aware of the bigger astrological picture, thanks to PW. It’s purely related to my own personal and extremely little understanding of astrology that made me think reading astrology news would be a little over my head. So, reading the big picture stuff and the way it resonates to the world has been a process that I am just now easing into. And I thank PW for that.

I’ll admit- I was more drawn to “cosmic confidential” and” planet waves light” and” next world stories” than I was to “astrology news”.

That’s just my little piece of the world. My mom joined a year ago and the news was the first thing she signed up for. But, she knows more about astrology. Aword, you would probably like her depth and breadth.

Anyway im a rambling and should stop. Especially because I usually wish this site had a “delete comment button”.

  8. No, I didn’t have that reaction when I came here first, Eric – but then I, too, came via Jonathan Cainer’s site. It is so difficult to gauge opinion on the web because you broadly tend to get feedback either from the ardent followers or the majorly disgruntleds.

  9. Found you from yr writing on Cainer, so the “news” question doesn’t apply.

However, on a broader note, I am surprised – strike that – appalled at how much I’ve learned about the general base of people I know by way of their lack of interest in PW or anything else that represents news – um, reality.

and That’s Fucked up (I’m quoting Jere there, I think – Hi Jere if you’re in the audience).

Seriously, it’s become a touch’n’taste-test of the depth and breadth of a person – are they interested in what’s going on at PW or not?

  10. My first PW news read, very nice! I think the word “news” kind of made me think it was something I should read, but did not want to 🙂

    I was wrong.

And, Fe, I agree! I have turned a lot of propel on to PW, but they seem casually interested not absolutely head over like I am . I guess people just find things in their own way.
