The new edition of Planet Waves Astrology News has been published. This week’s edition covers the horoscope of the capping of the Deepwater Horizon oil gusher. I contrast the technology disasters of the summer of 2010 with the summer of 1969, when the Americans made it to the Moon and technology had one of its finest moments. This article links back to our prior coverage of the summer of 2010, including an article called Cosmic Equinox or the Anti-Sixties, and Tales From Topographic Oceans. This edition also includes my weekly horoscope and a new article by Judith Gayle. For signup information and instant access, please see our signup link.
Len, LOL….. I advise you NOT to choose cleaning bathrooms, even at a groovy sounding place such as Taco Juan’s, as a career change. I speak from dire experience here. I missed the boo boo, but find it interesting to see how we all recover from the inevitable boo boos — self included. I kind of like the notion of creative-mistake-making. I try to define all my mistakes as the creative kind; it is surprisingly easy and feels a heck of a lot better than any other approach I know of…..
seems to me in this time one thing the ground is fertile for, bigtime, is a fabulous crop of creative mistakes.
*grin*
Len xo (yu crack me up!)
hey man we are ALL making mistakes these days.. with our left brain functionality…it seems…
Thanks so much for the article today – I was just about to run the chart on the oil well cap when it popped into my inbox. I kept thinking as I was looking at the chart and reading your take on it that all of this reminds me of something. A bizarre sense of deja vu was spreading over me and I finally realized what it was.
To me, at least, this spill seems like a retelling of the financial collapse of 2008 leading up to “TARP” i.e. the cap. I won’t spend too much time going into the parallels, but I think they are fairly obvious. Perhaps Lehman’s collapse is equivalent to the deepwater explosion. But then there are all these little regional banks that started to fail — how many fissures are there in the casing that are leaking? And then ultimately the entire system nearly collapsed (methane gas bubble?) And then they pushed TARP through and provided practically no transparency and I’m not sure that the world to this day has any idea how stable or unstable the financial system is though many things including recent events in Greece would suggest that unstable is a better adjective. So is this cap TARP? and have the cleanup efforts done more harm than good? (recent article in the times about sea turtles dying of mysterious causes — not oil toxicity — perhaps dispersants?)
I suppose what started me down this line of reasoning was that the food chain is being disrupted. If the plankton dies, so does the great white ultimately. And in that same way, if the peasants all starve… what of the other great white? Is what’s going on in the gulf a warning about what is to come to pass in our society if our power structures do not change? Greed and stupidity caused both the banking collapse and the gulf fiasco. In many ways they are one and the same disaster.
I’d love to look into the astrological similarities and will as soon as I get some free time. If anyone knows the exact time that the TARP bill passed through congress – or better yet if they have a chart already done – I’d love to take a look.
Kelly,
Thank you. Way to go. Both the tone and content of your observations find support with me.
Eric,
Thank you for the accurate chart and astute analysis.
To All,
Please forgive me for the innacurate chart information i posted as a comment to yesterday’s blog. It appears i just plain messed up on the coordinates. Good thing my lack of proficiency includes ignorance of how to post a graphic. Perhaps i should be cleaning the restroom at Taco Juan’s as my true calling.
Eric,
Thanks
purchased and listened to Cancer Birthday Audio today. I might have been the very first customer for cancer audio.
Everything you have said in the audio is on the spot. I find it very encouraging that I am in fact in sync with doing what planets/cosmos wants me to do at this point in time. The changes I am feeling are very subtle but rapid and powerful. So far 2010 has been very empowering and rich with new insights and understanding. I Sometimes feel very special and chosen.
It is amazing that we always try to depend on Parents, siblings, spouses, partners for security and well being, then suddenly discover this unlimited cosmic power and potential that was always there and will be at our disposal. We were never alone in the first place.
Thanks
Asha
Hi Eric,
I appreciated your article today on the chart for the capping of the BP well – the insight about humanity watching murky, wobbly images of both the moon landing and capping the spill deep under the sea resonates in a way that gives me goosebumps. The anti-sixties, indeed.
One thing I wanted to add is that I ran the chart yesterday myself when I read the article giving the time the well was capped, and the first thing I noticed was that asteroid Atlantis was conjunct Mercury and the midheaven at 9 degrees Leo. I included Atlantis specifically because your article about the initial explosion revealed Atlantis in a prominent placement in that chart (although I can’t recall exactly right now where it was). To me, the trine of the m/c and Mercury and Atlantis to the Jupiter/Uranus conjunction points to technology being both our downfall and the one thing that may save us, and with that midheaven placement, not only the globe but any beings that might exist beyond earth are surely watching with held breath to see which way this story will play out.
The other thing I also noticed was Venus in Virgo, a symbol if ever there was one of Gaia and the feminine life force, in trine to Pluto in Capricorn, representing the deep-earth pressure of oil and also of reaping what we’ve sown (Capricorn). It’s as if she is so delicately placating that Plutonian force that is in 90 degrees of tension to the Saturn/Mars conjunction (surely representing the oil well cap). Looks like is Venus leading the way out of this mess as well. Four decades later, all we STILL need is love.
Blessings,
Kelly
