PS Looks like its actually piled cut wood behind the sillouhetted trees – but I prefer the frolicking wood-nymphs idea – perhaps they have been freed and caught off-guard on camera.
Yes, totally agreed, the Thomas Moore article is brilliant in its content and its intent of presentation (to masses).
Focus on the idea of the nymphs playing – it’ll cure the vertigo….:!
HAHA awordedgewise!!
“some land-nymphs are blurrily romping together on the other side of the shadowed trees. Perhaps they are enjoying their sexuality, their GoldenRatio AND their italian veggies all-in-one.”
Very funny!
Now for me, and I’m curious if anyone else experienced this, but I cannot look at this particular photo and not feel motion sickness…..? I’m trying again this morning but nope, the rise of nausea is instant. I’m putting it down to the fact that I own two pairs of glasses, one for reading the other for everything else and i think am quite sensitive to the centre being out of focus. No matter. For the one/two seconds i can look at it, I do actually like it. Perhaps those land-nymphs really don’t want me to see what they are really up to……;-)
Re. the Thomas Moore article on sexuality a few posts down……….i agree with Eric that it is an excellent contribution to the subject. It is a longish one, but make up a cuppa tea or coffee or whatever kind of liquid you wish to imbibe, and give yourself the time to have a look.
‘Tis well worth it!
“Name that forest”… it just popped in my mind that my homeopathic doctor told me that she put a section “name that flower” (Bach flowers) in her website, and this had an amazing response, many people are writing all the time to answer and they discuss over the pictures, and in this way they learn and she teaches too. The website never had so many ‘visitors’ before that. She told me this half amazed and half amused.
“Name that planet”…???
I thought Moore’s article was brilliant, addressing many points of seeming controversy in a way that raises the level of the conversation. He is one of the few people to make an argument in favor of pornography helping the cause of honest sex rather than being seen as automatically taking away from anything, or being degrading to anyone — issues with quality acknowledged. He is making the case that sex needs to be included in the normal stream of thought and existence. It’s a great contribution to the discussion.
A reader suggested that I look at it…thank you…
LOL! Apparently everyone’s hungry today but not for discussion on sex. Maybe “name the…” pix will keep us musing through the holiday.
xo!
(On the other hand, looks to me (re: this pic) like some land-nymphs are blurrily romping together on the other side of the shadowed trees. Perhaps they are enjoying their sexuality, their GoldenRatio AND their italian veggies all-in-one.)
