The Koch brothers are the billionaires who sponsored the Tea Party movement. As Bruce said, rich man wanna be king, and the king ain’t satisfied till he rules everything. They also have a hobby of spreading disinformation about climate change. So Greenpeace is sending a message to them. See more photos and read a bit about this cool direct action here.

i woke up very happy with the weather (a rare treat in my desert), giving grace for my warmth and shelter and coffee – and then lost power. the electric co. was concerned already, so all schools are closed today. thankfully, it lasted just long enough to remind me exactly how grateful i am for Fire. a super blessed beauty-full stormy warm imbolc new moon in deed.
Sitting up welcoming Imbolc, freezing my twat off….Central NM below zero…
Eric, speaking of storms: Last night I woke up around 3 a.m. to a room hot, closed and heavy. Within seconds something came *screaming* into my neighborhood, throwing massive, frigid punches. I’ve listened to a few hundred Northerners roar into town, but nothing like this.
The temps plummeted – even more abruptly than last Spring EqnX (which saw a 30 degree drop in half an hour). This time it was 40 degrees in 5 minutes. Or less. Most impressive.
After 3 days of 70s, tonight we’re in the single digits. If I lived outside, flowers would be frozen in my belly too.
Eric!…super fast..no doubt..the book turned it up 5 notches, i think it was called “Superstorms”. I like the methane bomb better
It’s a kind of storm, Kelly. Unlike most storms we’re accustomed to it comes on fast, furious and cold.
anybody heard about the whole carbon tax deal? was that disinformation? alex jones… and infowars
It is a little tragic that scientists don’t speak up about the history of climate change and allow a rampage of disinformation to continue. I had read in a couple of books re:climate change, the kind that had instantly frozen the woolly mammoth into position over several millions of years ago.. .apparently on a fine spring day a woolly was grazing in Siberia on a diet of spring flowers when the climate changed rapidly, instantly freezing the animal cryogenic style. The flowers are known to be preserved in its tummy. An unaccountable mass of methane was dropped into the atmosphere which changed spring to instant high freezing temperatures. Science cannot account for it. Earth has her reasons.
Funny you should bring them up today as I was thinking about them yesterday.
I’ve been watching more NOVA science shows on PBS and who do you think is one of the MAIN supporters of the series? The Koch Bros. I remember watching an episode last year that dealt with climate change on Earth over millions of years. I also remember thinking some of it sounded – um, sort of suspect. Kinda “hinky”, you know, but couldn’t quite put my finger on it.
I wonder if it was their intention to get so much notoriety or if being “outed” for fronting the Tea Party Express was unexpected by them…
why not get a blimp?
