Fritz Perls – Gestalt therapy demonstration

This is Fritz Perls, student of Freud, one of the teachers of my own therapist and mentor Joe Trusso.

  1. No, Joe is a lot more chill, receptive and feminine or rather yin. But he has the same basic goal of process: pay attention to your experience in the moment, pay attention to your body, be real, be happy.

Hakomi Therapy is also based on Fritz as well and it’s doing the same basic thing only underwater, in slow motion. The person doing work the most like Fritz’s original gestalt therapy is Brad Blanton, author of Radical Honesty.

  2. They sure were wolfing down those cigarettes!

I never quite understood what Gestalt therapy was until I saw this video. I bet I could benefit enormously from that kind of therapy.
