Today is audio day. We’ve got some things to talk about, here beside the rising tide. Here is your audio file — apologies for the delay. The service we use to move the file was not taking uploads.

Solstice and an eclipse are approaching; this would be a grand cross on June 26 eclipse covering Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn: the Greatest Aries Point Show on Earth. As promised, here is the chart for the lunar eclipse, with most other points removed.
This is a grand square chart — notice the planets in a square. Jupiter and Uranus are in Aries, the Sun and Mercury are in Cancer. Saturn is in late Virgo about to go into Libra. Pluto and the Moon are in Capricorn — that is the eclipse. I’ve left in Chiron; the line from Chiron to the Sun is a trine.
These planets and points are all (with the exception of Chiron) making 90-degree type aspects to the Aries Point: conjunction, square or opposition. This is a full activation of the Aries Point, with an eclipse. This is a chart that changes the world.
Today is the big day that Pres. Obama meets with the chairman of BP to talk about the oil spill.
Here is how Politico’s Daily Playbook — the most basic Washington political journalism tool — characterized reaction to Pres. Obama’s speech last night. Note, I have another perspective than the ‘pundits’, but this is what’s going on in mainstream politics:
It’s the first Obama speech ever panned by the talking heads. Allies found it too timid. Republicans are back on a single song sheet, calling it exploitive. Here’s what the White House is thinking: The Gulf gusher is a battle we can’t win. So we had to make this tragedy about something bigger than the liveshot of spewing oil. President Obama, in last night’s 17-minute Oval Office address, called for the first steps in ‘the transition away from fossil fuels’: ‘[T]he time to embrace a clean energy future is now. Now is the moment for this generation to embark on a national mission to unleash America’s innovation and seize control of our own destiny.’
West Wing Mindmeld: Whenever we do something like this, our focus is always on communicating directly with the American people, in an unfiltered way. We don’t waste those opportunities to throw bones to the pundits.
Obama called for action on an energy bill ‘in the months ahead.’ But, in what supporters called shades of the public option, didn’t say exactly what he wants: ‘Last year, the House of Representatives acted on [his campaign] principles by passing a strong and comprehensive energy and climate bill … I’m happy to look at other ideas and approaches from either party … The one answer I will not settle for is the idea that this challenge is somehow too big … The same thing was said about our ability to harness the science and technology to land a man safely on the surface of the moon.’
US Congress set to grill BP chief Tony Hayward

BP boss Tony Hayward is set to face a grilling in the US Congress, a day after the oil firm agreed a $20bn (£13.5bn) compensation fund for victims of the Gulf of Mexico oil spill.

The chart for Aries Ingress at Washington shows the Saturn-Uranus opposition on the MC-IC of the chart with Pluto square it. The Sun has now (17th/18th June) arrived at the conjunction to Hades/Kronos…which Martha Wescott Lang interprets as “ folks in charge or those who are supposed to be “in the know:” (have made) mistakes”….the square from Saturn is authority hauling them up….Hades/Uranus is “mistakes in engineering or technology”. Please note that by progressing the Ingress chart by the Solar Quotidian method the Ascendant will be exactly conjunct Saturn on 17th/18th June 2010 with the Sun on the Descendant along with Uranus

Saturn-Pluto and the Gulf of Mexico Oil Spill

Um, no, have not….. I shall have to contact “my astrologer” — perhaps it will interest her….. 😉
Not sure I would be able to unpack the experience into words, but maybe something will want to be spoken then.
Kyla, yes, I see what you mean. The inclusion of chiron does give it a 3-D pyramid like effect.
Have you looked at your solar return chart? Could be amazing! It would be wonderful to hear your story on how it unfolds for you! SO exciting!!
I keep returning to gaze in awe at this chart. It is to take place one day before my birthday. And to me, it looks like one big gigantic portal into…………… something. Door number magic.
With the inclusion of Chiron, it is also reminiscent of a perspective view of a pyramid……with Chiron at the peak.
whether that means anything in astrological terms, I doubt, but it did jump out at me.
ERIC! You Fucking ROCK baby!!! The rhythm of your astrologer spirit in this audio inspires all of us shining stars here on the planet for a Reason!!! Bless you, sweet child of the cosmos…..
I study astrology, so I dig this interpretation all up, down over and under…. Frankly, I havent heard your audios have such vibrant positive power in a good while. ITs SOOOO good to hear!
xoxoxo
astewart: It always depends on signs, dispositors and other contextual stuff but in general a grand cross chart could go either way. There is the potential for big success or colossal failure depending on how the challenges of the squares and oppositions are handled. A positive way to look at it is an opportunity to excel. Stay on the positive and don’t waste time on the negative. The “flap” on the envelope is likewise double-edged. A trine does favor. The question is what does it favor?
aword – You are not twisted or weird. The Chairman of the Board of BP, however, given his statements of this afternoon, is showing disturbing signs. “Small people” indeed. He probably had lunch with Jack Welch.
Wow! My & my lover’s relationship chart looks a lot like that one. When I first saw it I thought “It looks like an envelope!”. Is this a good thing?
Len….you bring me cheer — a search for the hotly holy grail as a socrates in disguise story perhaps? or something equally twisted. (No) apologies for my weird sense of humor. xo
Jack Welch propaganda has left me throwing up in it’s wake for years…..I call the kind of books he writes ego-myth. These guys can’t get enough of themselves and the havoc they leave behind is Beyond Mythology.
Ya, it’s the Thema Mundi here in Kingston, New York. Go figure…
I do plan to be here for the eclipse, or maybe the Grandmother Land.
Eric,
Speaking as a fellow Ancient Geek i’m very surprised that you did not mention that the ascendant on your June 26th chart (at the head of this blog) is conjunct with the ascendant of the Thema Mundi.
Oh, and if you find the cup Socrates misplaced at the Eye Felta Thigh fraternity party, be sure not to drink from it.
Fe,
Thank you!
Excellent point about the corporate bretheren looking out for each other. It’s a weird game, like honor among thieves. However, they may just be tripped up this time given the position of retrograde Chiron in Eric’s lunar eclipse chart posted to this blog. Since Chiron (among other things) brings focus to the weak link(s) of a system, the Sun-Chiron trine could correspond with a weak link in the old boy system being exposed.
eric:
One has the feeling the corpos are doing their damnedest to muddy the waters before this meeting tween Obama and BP–and doing it purely by the massive media speculation ongoing the last month. BP is one of GE’s corporate brethren, and so it has a vested interest in keeping its brother alive. It may be next. Any one of them can.
Which is why the Citizen’s United ruling needs to be tried and ruled unconstitutional in the SCOTUS. Corporate accountability and good government – the lines between those have been muddied. The barrier needs to be erected again.
tylerrr:
Could you quote the source for Welch’s $20 billion figure remark?
Jack Welch is the former CEO of General Electric, another company that’s done the kind of damage to the environment that BP is doing (with no sign of slowing down) — and get away with it. This was in the form of PCBs (polychrlorinated biphenyls, a mix of oil and chlorine) that were dumped for decades into the upper Hudson River from two electrical manufacturing plants in upstate New York, which then (thanks to GE blowing the Ft. Edwards dam in the ’70s) entered the Hudson River Estuary system, New York Harbor, the Long Island Sound and the Atlantic Ocean.
So, perhaps we can trust Jack Welch because he knows his business: GE barely paid a fine for what they did. Nobody went to jail. There wasn’t even a criminal trial or indictment for the many plant workers killed in the process. Long Island fishermen were paid off, in total, a few million dollars many years later for their lost livelihoods.
Jack, good show.
Oh — GE is the owner of CNBC. I assure you that for as long as you live, you will never hear the term PCBs on CNBC, MSNBC, NBC, or anything vaguely close to being owned by GE. This would be a little like BP buying CNN and banning the phrase “oil spill.”
Jack Welch on CNBC this morning mentioned that Obama might have made a deal with BP prior to announcing the $20 billion figure. Welch felt that Obama would not have made such strong a statement had it not been for an agreement.
Just something to consider.
