The Valhalla Tour Begins

Published by under Fe 911

By Fe Bongolan

Please forgive me.

This is yet another article on Sarah Palin — the almost but not quite full term governor of Alaska who is now in pursuit of the Presidency in 2012 through an almost but not quite campaign. Alaska’s former half-term governor has been eyeing the 2012 Republican nomination for the Presidency long before it needed to be filled. After a few gaffes out on the non-campaign campaign trail and a one-season reality series  covering Palin family life in Alaska on the Discovery Channel, Mrs. Palin has re-invented herself yet again.

Sarah began campaigning on Saturday by launching her “One Nation” tour — a gambit she refers to as a “family vacation”, wherein members of the Palin family are to engage in a summer-long meet and greet with members of the American public along the eastern seaboard, making a left turn towards Iowa — the first primary state in the presidential sweepstakes — sometime later in the summer. Think of it as an extended family road trip, but instead of an Airstream trailer, its a fully-equipped passenger bus with the Constitution’s Bill of Rights painted on it. She therefore began her campaign while, as Eric appropriately wrote in his daily astrology report for last weekend, ”three planets were aligned in what is called a T-square, which is behind much of the mischief and turmoil of the world right now. And in our current stretch of time, the Moon sweeps through that T-square, knocking all three of those planets like cue ball on a pool table, stirring up all kinds of deep feelings, past and present fears, insecurities and so on.”

Eclipses as Pattern Setting Events

Published by under Astro Daily

This is one of the few roads into the property, hence one of the paths trodden by many tens of thousands of kids who attended the Woodstock Festival held at the same location 42 summers ago: the former Yasgur's Farm. Today is Tuesday, May 31, 2011. The Moon will be in Taurus until 7:56 pm EDT, when it enters Gemini. The Moon’s last aspect is a conjunction to Mercury, which is a way of saying put your feelings into words. Once the Moon separates from Mercury just past noon EDT, we will be in a void-of-course phase for several hours. Moon voids are the time to pause in the action; it’s neither the time to push the river nor start anything new. The afternoon may have a languid feeling, though this will be more than compensated by the rapid approach of the partial solar eclipse after the Moon ingresses Gemini.

As you may have noted from yesterday’s edition, eclipses are pattern-setting events; this means they can be used to dissolve patterns and establish new ones. Because this eclipse is focused on the South Node of the Moon (called Ketu or the dragon’s tail), that is about releasing blocks, enmity, psychological and language patterns that don’t work, and making peace with your neighbors. Look for the opportunities to do this; you will not have to make the opportunities.

Wednesday is a day to set aside as much time and energy for the things you love to do. One way to establish a new pattern, or for that matter, to dissolve an old one, is by taking action. So plan for that. I once described eclipses as “cosmic repeating stations.” That is, they can act to increase more of what is going on in your life. This does not mean you need to cram the day full of every blessed thing you enjoy — loading it with a sense of expectation, obligation or desperation — but rather, feed some loving and nourishing data into the system and let it grow.

Astrology Today: Oracle for Tuesday, May 31, 2011

Today’s Oracle takes us to the Capricorn monthly of May 1, 2006

The Oracle.

I hope you’re not feeling left out of the action. On one level it may seem like you’re the odd person out of the game, but there’s something to be said for not having to pick sides. You have plenty of influence at the moment. Rather than doubt this fact, I suggest you look for confirmation — but don’t waste too much time doing that, either. At the moment, you are anchoring the stability of much progress in the world that would be slipping and sliding without you. In essence, you are holding the energy of the beginning, which is not over and is also necessary to get to the second and third steps — which are slowly materializing. If there is something you need to say over and over again until people hear you, I suggest you speak clearly rather than loudly. And you will be heard.

Are you looking for an extra clue? That’s what astrology is for. New horoscopes are published weekly plus twice a month in Planet Waves subscriber edition and Planet Waves Light. And for your annual reading, check out Light Bridge.

The Window Within – Gemini Solar Eclipse

Little by little the night turns around.

- Pink Floyd, “Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun”

On the first day of June we have a New Moon. It’s also a partial solar eclipse at 11+ Gemini just after 5:00 pm EDT. This event opens a month-long cycle of three eclipses that will conclude with another partial solar eclipse in Cancer on July 1. Precisely in between, we have a Full Moon and total lunar eclipse on June 15.

In addition to opening a calendar month and a lunation, Wednesday’s conjunction of the Sun and Moon initiates a flurry of astrological activity. We will see a whole heaping handful of planets changing sign or direction before we see July. Most importantly, this merger of luminary energy also reveals a window within a window that will give you a glimpse at where we all are going.

First, there is a window of opportunity where space (length, width and depth) and time come together in four dimensions. The frame starts with the lunar nodes. The Moon’s orbit around our planet is at an angle to our path around the Sun. The nodes are the two points where the Moon’s monthly lap around the Earth intersects with the plane carved out by our annual circuit of the Sun. That plane is the ecliptic. The North Node is the name for the moving point where the Moon enters the hemisphere above the ecliptic. Conversely, the South Node is the spot where the lunar loop plunges below for the other half of its journey.

In terms of space, solar eclipses occur when the luminaries and one of the lunar nodes are conjoined. The nodal conjunction does not have to be exact. There is a lot of slack, also called orb. Put the Moon between the Earth and Sun. Then, line the three up within about 18 degrees of a node and you have a some sort of solar eclipse. Such wide tolerances are normally accorded only to federal defense contractors. In the case of what we are about to experience, the orb between the luminaries and the South Node, all in Gemini, is just over 12 degrees of separation.

Astrology Today: Oracle for Monday, May 30, 2011

Today’s Oracle takes us to the Gemini weekly of Oct. 20, 2006

The Oracle.

You may have a deep urge to reveal your secrets to someone. Make sure it’s not any old someone, but a very particular someone you want to connect with and who you trust deeply. By no means advertise your private business despite what may at times be an overwhelming urge to do so. You run a serious risk of being misinterpreted and having your words used against you. If you make sure what is private remains in a private context, the result will be an opportunity for intimacy, rather than its evil twin, scandal. Family Focus: A child benefits from a meeting with an uncle or older male family friend. Be conscious of that fact.

Are you looking for an extra clue? That’s what astrology is for. New horoscopes are published weekly plus twice a month in Planet Waves subscriber edition and Planet Waves Light. And for your annual reading, check out Light Bridge.

Gemini Sun, Taurus Moon; Solar Eclipse Wednesday

Published by under Astro Daily

Today is Monday, May 30, 2011. It is Memorial Day in the United States, the day set aside to honor military service members killed in the line of duty. Through the day, the Moon is in Taurus. The Sun is in Gemini, first decanate. The Gemini New Moon on Wednesday is a partial eclipse of the Sun. Before that happens, the Moon is making a series of conjunctions to Mars, Venus, Mercury and Sedna — then finally the Sun. Wednesday’s solar eclipse is the first of three eclipses: this one will be followed by a total lunar eclipse on June 15 and then another partial solar eclipse on July 1. The last days before an eclipse — even a relatively modest one like Wednesday’s — can fee like there is a quality of inevitability in the air. The ethers of intention are more flexible than they may seen even though eclipses tend to accelerate the sensation of personal events. Use your flexibility and open up to what you want. As we approach that vortex, the Moon will be our personal surfboard across the swells of feeling, to act, attract and communicate.

Earth & water - photo by Eric.

Remember that eclipses are pattern setting events. They are ways to establish, affirm or shift patterns in your life. This is a South Node eclipse, accenting the past — as a thing we may be caught up in, depending on, clinging to, or wanting to leave behind. You may already have been feeling it: a build up of feelings, memories and the compelling urge to push things to breakthrough. Relationships that matter, matter more. But where are you at? Am I (are we) doing enough to make this work? Am I (or you) at fault for anything you want not working? Is there something I (or you) can say to clear things up? Or is it best to pause, to listen and to allow someone close by to break their own silence rather than having you speak for them? Note that the personal planets are gathered in the sign/house prior to that of the New Moon. The accumulation of feelings is in Taurus; their expression is in Gemini. Therefore, pause and be patient through the next few days. Know what you want to say before you say it. Understand the purpose of your response before you respond. Create meaning that is responsive to your situation.

The coming solar eclipse involves a New Moon and that means we’re aching to move to something new. This eclipse will help you get there. But before it happens, we have a few days of witnessing and feeling these welling feelings. Today, the Moon’s conjunction in Mars makes us a bit edgy and itching to take a jump. You may feel your own frustration. I suggest you stay with the feeling rather than the sensation that there is something you must do about it. Follow it into a place you recognize — or alternately, one where you don’t know where you are. As we live through these lives on Earth, there is the ever present issue of the past and what to do about it. Today, let that question stand open.
