Today in Planet Waves: New Moon and a New Planet

Today's edition of Planet Waves covers Borasisi, featuring Eric's first article on the subject. It will be sent to subscribers soon.

Eric’s first-ever article on Borasisi explores further the nexus of truth, lies, religion and science he began discussing in Wednesday’s audio post. These themes — suggested by Kurt Vonnegut’s novel Cat’s Cradle, the origin of the name Borasisi — dominate our cultural landscape, but often in ways we don’t notice. The conjunction between today’s New Moon and Borasisi gives us an opportunity to turn our attention that way a bit more, toward our own personal matrix of beliefs. And the upcoming conjunction between Chiron and Borasisi from 2014 – 2016 will surely bring even more focus; we’ll be keeping our eyes on that one.

To read Eric’s full article, plus a brief piece on the Lunar Nodes changing signs and this week’s horoscopes, you may purchase the issue individually here. For a six month subscription to Planet Waves Weekly, please click here.

  1. Hey, don’t be too harsh on Friskies now, they’re a good company, owned by Purina, by way of Nestle?
Come on, it’s obvious they’re telling the truth here: Of COURSE that cat is probably hallucinating – on chemo drugs & Ketamine!

I think they’ve been really upfront about where their protein and filler comes from, you know, the rendered carcasses from the vet pumped full of all the drugs meant to save & improve the quality of our dear pets lives……don’t you?

and the packaging! — and that little ditty- so adorable, you cannot deny that, brings a smile to me every time,

  2. “If the January 25th Revolution results in no more than a retrenchment of neoliberalism, or even its intensification, those millions will have been cheated. The rest of the world could be cheated as well. Egypt and Tunisia are the first nations to carry out successful revolutions against neoliberal regimes. Americans could learn from Egypt. Indeed, there are signs that they already are doing so. Wisconsin teachers protesting against their governor’s attempts to remove the right to collective bargaining have carried signs equating Mubarak with their governor. Egyptians might well say to America ‘uqbalak (may you be next).”

Above is the link to….and the last paragraph of….. an article by Walter Armbrust called “The revolution against neo-liberalism”

To think that Kurt Vonnegut may well have shared a canteen with Ronnie Reagan at GE. This would explain where Ronnie got his Ice Nine from. He did at least make sure that Margeret Thatcher got her fair share. How soulful and generous he really was!

I thought I knew what neo-liberalism was until I saw the long term effects of Reaganomics in Walter Armbrust’s article.

Everything…and everybody is a commodity indeed! Uqbalak!

  3. After 48 hours of buildup to a seething rage that had me arriving to rehearsal gray and mean, I slept soundly last night and felt more at ease. I was carrying a heavy emotional load and you could see it in my body.

The emotional body is tangible. And I’m a 1 Pisces Ascendant.

Tonight, off to the movies and some quiet time with my favorite couple – she’s a Cancer, he’s a Cap. Just the right kind of groundedness while basking in Neptunian expression.
