Wikileaks posts documents – San Mateo location

Published by under Daily Astrology Blog

Here is the chart for Wikileaks posting the documents. The time, time zone (EST) and date come from their website. The location comes from the Whois directory. Obviously, the data was not uploaded in California; but that is their registered location. We could look at the chart set for Stockholm, the capital of Sweden, as well.

It’s Not Always Like This — But It Is Now

Published by under Daily Astrology Blog

Note to Readers: Today we issued the August monthly horoscope to our subscribers. This is a sample of what we published, for the three fire signs. –efc

Dear Fellow Traveler:

Astrology is always interesting, but the aspects are not always like this. They don’t always push us so hard to get our lives together, work toward our true goals and get rid of the ones that we don’t really want. At the moment we are in the midst of many slow-moving planets — the Gods of Change, as they were once described by one of the great Brits of astrology — making moves and making many aspects to one another.

Planet Waves

These aspects, as we are seeing, are profoundly influencing our lives, and the world. Saturday, just hours ahead of the fifth and last Saturn-Uranus opposition, an organization called Wikileaks revealed the truth about the United States-led occupation of Afghanistan. I will have more to say about this in Wednesday’s audio and Friday’s edition.

This astrology and the synchronous events that surround it are not only in preparation for what we are calling 2012, they are the very thing itself: momentous, sweeping changes and the potential for making progress in the dimensions of our lives where we want it the most. I’ve been describing this here and in my other essays as the cardinal T-square, because most of the action is in the cardinal signs Aries, Libra and Capricorn.

Saturn, at the moment, is the leading actor. That’s because it’s the planet in direct motion, having recently entered Libra, where it will be until October 2012. Saturn recently made its last of five oppositions to revolutionary Uranus, which has been the high-stakes trip along the edge that we’ve been experiencing through the Obama administration. It is worth noting the stunning synchronicity between Obama being elected the very day of the first of five Saturn-Uranus oppositions on a platform of promising to escalate the war in Afghanistan, and the truth about that war emerging precisely at the last of those oppositions.

Planet Waves Monthly Horoscope – August 2010

Aries (March 20-April 19)

Your life has been in transition from one moment to the next, one day to the next, week after week. At times it’s been so much you haven’t been sure how to handle it, and you still may not be — this, despite the sense of excitement and potential. Let’s consider that potential and how it’s going to manifest. You go through spurts of bursting with energy, then encounter limits and frustration. At the same time you’re confronted by changes in your environment, your relationships, your workplace, and lately, considerable pressure from family or home-related matters. It’s difficult to see where the two processes fit in: that is, your experience of growth and emergence, and the tectonic changes in the world around you. The next six months or so will be an experiment in seeing the many connection points between who you are becoming and what the world is becoming. What you may have lacked recently — a commitment to flexibility — is what you’re being offered now. Think of that flexibility as your mind responding creatively to your experience. By creatively, I mean self-creatively. Though the changes in your world seem to be the result of powerful forces, there must be nothing forced about your response. When in doubt, retreat and assess your situation, and observe your options, and more to the point, your desires. What you want not only matters, it’s the only thing that does. You have tried every other option; give this one a go.

Leo (July 22- Aug. 23)

My phone rang at 2 am the other night. It was a young Leo friend, freaked out. She had a house-sitting gig and had arrived home later than planned to discover that Lilly, one of the cats she was watching, had not come home. This was in a wild part of the area, where coyotes roam. She called Lilly, and then heard a faraway cat squeal, then heard some coyotes yelping, then concluded that Lilly had just been eaten. She was beside herself and crying about what a failure she was. I listened to her for a while, dialed in St. Francis and cast the astrology. The chart looked good, and as I woke up, I remembered many feline moments of assuming the worst. I hung out on the phone with her till she calmed down. At first light, Lilly came strolling home after a warm night of sitting under a bush, sniffing ferns or whatever it is that cats do (nobody really knows). I would guess she was never more than 100 meters from the house. August is a growly month, with coyotes yelping and weird sounds in the night. Chiron makes one last visit to your opposite sign Aquarius, giving you a chance to clean up any leftover work in a relationship healing project. Many other planets get into the act and make a lot of noise. I suggest you stay centered and calm, take care of yourself and remember Lilly.

Leo Birthday Audio is coming soon!

Sagittarius (Nov. 22 - Dec. 22)

Every time you get to a point where you think you can free yourself of the details, you discover more details to attend to. Figure this will go on until right before your birthday, when you make a transition into what you would consider to be a more creative approach to existence. Meanwhile, let’s consider the wisdom of focus or over-focus on details. In short, it will work for you, for many reasons. At the moment some of those involve resolving past hang-ups and hangovers. But it’s about much more than that. The particular path to success that you’ve either chosen or wound up traveling is about doing something innovative, creative and highly specific. Sometimes this is called finding a niche market, which is the opposite of brewing up vats of tomato soup from one set formula. You are creating a custom career, which will serve clients that have highly specific, individual needs. This, at its essence, is an exercise in being aware of details, and applying them creatively. The visionary quality is available on the miniature or even microscopic level, and this is your true quest, at the moment. If you persist with love and patience, you will reach that point where you experience the universe as holographic: each moment, each cell, each point of contact, contains the image of the whole. Exploring this property of existence is where your most effective solutions, innovative developments and true sense of direction are going to come from.

What You Get

Published by under Daily Astrology Blog

By Len Wallick

Kind words can be short and easy to speak, but their echoes are truly endless”
- Mother Theresa

Now that we have moved past the Full Moon it would seem appropriate to catch up and organize our thoughts. There has been a lot of astrology since the middle of last week. The next few days will witness a lot more. Our task is to build on what yesterday’s blog started. The underlying theme is once again the concept of relationship.

Yesterday, we went back to the basics of the ongoing cardinal T-square. Then we moved to the fundamentals of the Sun-Moon opposition that we call a Full Moon. We recalled how the Full Moon at the end of June was also a lunar eclipse. We demonstrated how that lunar eclipse transformed the cardinal T-square into a cardinal grand cross for a short period of time.

We referred to the orientation of the Sun and Moon during the lunar eclipse as being in relationship to the cardinal T-square, a relationship that one could see by drawing a simple diagram on paper.

We then carried the theme of relationship forward to yesterday’s Full Moon in Aquarius. An event characterized by unusual uncertainty, demonstrated by the fact that some calendars placed it on Sunday, some on Monday. We postulated a first principal of resolving uncertainty, especially in relationship: knowing and being aware of where you are at and how you feel about it.

Today we build on that by further connecting the current astrology with the concept of relationship. We will do that by proceeding from the concept and practice of self awareness to the concept and practice of exchange.

Astrology Today: The Oracle for Tuesday, July 27, 2010

Published by under Daily Astrology Blog

Today’s Oracle takes us to the Aquarius weekly of June 13, 2008

The Oracle.

You need to be mindful of the effect another person with an agenda is having on you. I am not inclined to say that someone has a plan you don’t want to go along with, but I want to caution you that you are in a position to go along with something you don’t want only because someone else is pushing you. Therefore, I suggest you delay decisions or commitments until you have a much clearer sense of where you stand with yourself. Many new creative and sexual horizons are opening up within you. You are seeing yourself from an angle you never imagined you could. The result could be liberating, but at the same time being in a state of flux makes you particularly vulnerable to ideas other than your own. The great news is that you have plenty of ideas that are coming right from you. If you’re not discovering who you actually are, you are encountering many truly brilliant potentials. And at such a time, what you think is far more meaningful than what anyone else might think.

Special Audio Edition: Saturn-Uranus

Published by under Daily Astrology Blog

Daily Astrology with Len Wallick is right below this post. And don’t miss the Cosmic Confidential Detective Starter Kit.

Good morning. I’m here with a special audio edition, complete with all kinds of enthusiasm, expletives, dangerous political opinions and the Aries Point.

Today — as I type — Saturn and Uranus are in their fifth and last opposition for this cycle, from Libra to Aries. This is the meeting of seemingly irreconcilable opposites, which we are learning to integrate. It is where change meets stability, and where one is not possible without the other. Nothing ever stays the same. If we can get in on the process of change and evolution, there we find some true stability.

And, incredibly in this moment of astrology, the Sweden-based website Wikileaks yesterday uploaded 91,000 pages of documents about the ‘war’ in Afghanistan. As I explain in the audio, this is stunning in that on the first of these oppositions, Barack Obama was elected promising to escalate the war. I know hardly anyone remembers this; I remember it because I voted for him despite this, having other concerns. And now, the truth comes out.

Here is a version of the story from The Guardian. Here is the story from the Washington Post. And here is a profile on the founder of Wikileaks, Julian Assange.

Here is how Wikipedia describes Wikileaks — the two are not associated; ‘wiki’ is a Hawaiian word for ‘quick’. And here is Wikileaks itself. Note, the site is getting a lot of traffic and is not coming up. [Note, a reader had posted mirror sites to the first comment below.]

There are some good quotes from Assange in the Wa Po article. I was half awake this morning listening to him being interviewed and I missed his direct quotes, but what he said was really interesting, more philosophical than what you’ll read in that article. Here is how I remember it: information is relational. Once it enters an equation, there is no going back. This kind of information affects the whole situation; the whole gestalt. I am sure this will be repeated — I hope someone has the sense to highlight it.

Simplified chart for the moment of completing the audio. Virgo is rising here in NY at the time; Saturn is below the ascendant, to the left; Jupiter and Uranus are opposite Saturn on the right; Pluto is toward the bottom, at 90-degrees to the opposition. There is other stuff not shown in the simple version -- such as Mercury conjunct Isis/Transpluto -- putting the pieces together and getting the word out. Click for bigger chart.

Astrology freaks who buzz around Planet Waves: here are some things we can do. Let’s look at all five of these oppositions; the dates are easy to find. Let’s take a new look at Obama’s chart (his birthday is coming up on Aug. 4 so that is a good occasion). Let’s see if we can track down when Wikileaks got its domain. For those who are power-surfers, that can be dug out of the Whois database.

And: here to the right is a simplified version of the chart for my doing this audio, which shows Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Pluto; and if you click the chart, a bigger, more complex version comes up.

To Your Full (Moon) Potential

Published by under Daily Astrology Blog

By Len Wallick

…unusually uncertain…”
Benjamin Bernanke, Chairman, Federal Reserve of the United States

No scat, Sherlock. And the chairman of the Federal Reserve gets paid how much to to dispense such profound wisdom? Fortunately he’s not going to get paid a dime for unwittingly describing the current astrology.

Let’s start with the Full Moon.

If you live at zero degrees longitude (London, Le Harve, Valencia, Reggane, Gao or Dori) it will be exact shortly after 1:30 this morning. That’s another way of saying UTC (coordinated universal time). Anywhere to the west of there and we are talking sometime late yesterday. If it’s to the east of zero degrees longitude (also called the Greenwich Meridian) the Full Moon would be sometime after 1:30 am. Of course the twain does indeed meet 12 hours earlier or later (depending on which direction you go) at the international date line that weaves like a drunken sailor from the Arctic to the Antarctic in the Pacific Ocean.

So, if you look at your vampire movie calendar you might see that the Full Moon was yesterday. If you then look at your insurance company calendar that pegs it for today, that’s the unusually uncertain for you. Astrologically it will be one thing after another. Psychologically, things may seem to happen fast. Strategically the plan is to step back and not get too invested in outcome because it will even out. That’s where certainty will ultimately be found. Knowing that whipsaw oscillations will find stability and the long term big picture will prevail.

That’s the reason we’ll start our week with a review of the cardinal t-square. There’s a lot more going on. This blog could take the form of a laundry list of aspects and transits. But that would only add to the unusual uncertainty and who needs that besides some pathetic suit trying to cover his backside? The cardinal t-square. That’s our framework for a long term picture right now. Nuances come and go but the scaffold lasts for years. That way we’ll get a leg up on the befuddled chairman.

Astrology Today: The Oracle for Monday, July 26, 2010

Published by under Daily Astrology Blog

Today’s Oracle takes us to the Taurus weekly of May 28, 2002

The Oracle.

Depression is the inability to move energy, characterized by a kind of downward pressure. Consider the word: it has press built right in; it means pressed down. You may be feeling some urgency to lift or remove a weight that has followed you for quite some time, and this necessity may or may not make things any easier. You don’t have to do anything, of course, but the sense of being compelled to move, change or flow does not need to compel you to stay put. You can exercise choice no matter what the outer world says. But the need you now feel, I would propose, is not coming from the outside; rather it is coming from very close to your core consciousness.
