It’s a new season, your birthday has arrived and I’ve created something new: Aries birthday audio. As you may be reading, the next few months bring some of the most extraordinary astrology of our lifetimes, and it’s focused on your birth sign.

Presented as an in-person astrology reading, in clear language with high-quality sound, the report goes into detail on the blossoming of self-awareness that’s all over the Aries charts this year; the evolution in your relationships; and your high-energy emphasis on your career. I have suggestions for bringing your personal life and professional life into alignment and into a space of mutual support.

The astrology section is about 45 minutes, followed by an Aries tarot reading using the Voyager deck. Use this link to get instant access and listen today — as many times as you want. It’s priced to be affordable — just $14.95.

I know when I’ve done good work — and these readings feel great. (This came out yesterday and inspiring reviews are also coming in.) But just to give you peace of mind, this reading is 100% guaranteed to be up to the quality you deserve. That said, I offer it with full confidence in the information I’ve brought through for you. Once again, here is the product description and the link to purchase. (This link will work for purchasing gifts for your Aries friend, cousin or significant other as well.)

Happy birthday and thank you for doing your metaphysical shopping at Planet Waves.

Yours & truly,

One For The Ages

Published by under Daily Astrology Blog

By Len Wallick

“Always be sure you are right, then go ahead.” – Attributed to David Crockett

Hesitated to use that quote for all the baggage it has acquired, but it sure does fit the astrology. It’s less than a week since the vernal equinox and already we have experienced a huge dose of cardinal sign energy, the imperative to do something, anything, to get the show on the road, the party started, etc. This with a special emphasis on the cachet of the first degree of a cardinal sign, sometimes called the Aries Point, that of the personal and political becoming indistinguishable from one another.

Cardinal activity is also associated with square aspects because these signs are 90 degrees apart. These are frequently experienced as internal tension which requires proactive resolution. Oppositions, 180 degrees of contact — [a right angle - oops editing error by eric! two right angles] — experienced as external binds, or points of confrontation, are also consistent with cardinal point ambiance. In other words, the idea of an opposition (or a square) and that of a cardinal sign are cousins. And this checks out historically — the aspects come from the relationships between the signs.

On top of all that, the whole solar system seems to be signifying its participation. The faster moving bodies are sometimes called personal planets because they go around the Sun (and hence the zodiac) many times in the average human life. These fast movers have lately been synchronous with an imperative to be impetuous, impatient and impertinent.

The slower moving planets symbolically remind us that any action taken, any decision made, any pattern started now could continue with consequences for a long, long time.

It’s a good time to be sure you are right before you go ahead.

Astrology Today: The Oracle for Thursday, March 25, 2010

Published by under Daily Astrology Blog

Today’s Oracle takes us back to the Pisces monthly of April 1, 2003

The Oracle.

At the same time certain aspects are calling you to make amends with yourself, and to free yourself from so many past self-judgments, worlds of opportunity are opening up before your senses. By month-end, you will be looking at both personal and professional opportunities you could not have imagined today. The scale of your life is going to change and enlarge, which means that everything you are becomes magnified and will take root in new circumstances, relationships and arrangements. Therefore, this is the time to make unusually clear decisions about who and what you are not, and stick to them. That will be the simplest criteria for choosing what you do not want once you’re presented with more possibilities than you can really manage. From there, making positive choices will be fairly simple.

Not so funny

Published by under Daily Astrology Blog

Rachel Maddow covers the violence spree against Democratic lawmakers the past several days. I’m not sure this video will launch and I’m having difficulty framing it here; please try this link first.

If that doesn’t work, select “most viewed” and then it’s the top story — “Emboldened extremist right incites violence. Rachel Maddow rounds up the violent rhetoric and acts of vandalism perpetrated by the extremist right in the wake of the health reform bill passing into law.”

Priceless

Published by under Daily Astrology Blog

One of our readers thought that I would be amused by this, and I pass it along in that spirit. The article endeavors to answer the age-old question, “When does a Cub Scout become a Boy Scout?”

Note, the Washington Times is a newspaper that was started and is owned by the Moonies. So it has a “conservative” ideology which can come off like a self-satire sometimes, though by some miracle the newspaper is being taken more seriously. Anyway, this is a fun article — for those abroad, a slice of American life.

The Sibley Chart

Published by under Daily Astrology Blog

USA Sibley Chart - Declaration of Independence

As promised, here is the United States Sibley Chart — the most commonly used chart for July 4, 1776. This link gives you the chart in another format; and this gives you the background on the chart, that is, how it came into being. I sum this up the audio post associated with this blog entry.

There are about a dozen USA charts, most of which center around July 4, 1776 and which vary by the time of the chart. There is also a 1777 chart called Scorpionic America, which is my favorite, cast for the signing of the Articles of Confederation.

This chart was popularized by my old Centaurish friend, the late David Solte, astrologer and historian. As I am sure anyone who knew David or loved his writing agrees, we would benefit from his mind on these charts right now. We’ll just have to channel him.

Due to factors in the background of the Sibley Chart, mainly what seemed to be an uncertainty factor about the time, I was noncommittal about the document — that is, until the events of Sept. 11, 2001. Those are basically predicted in the chart due the position of the ascendant — 12+ Sagittarius. You may recall that Pluto was in that very degree when the Sept. 11 false flag attacks happened, and Saturn was in Gemini close to the descendant; the operative fact is that on Aug. 5, 2001, the Saturn-Pluto opposition was exact for the first time precisely in the Sibley ascendant/descendant.

That was good enough confirmation of the chart’s validity for me. The floor is open for comments on the chart; I have put my own thoughts into free audio on PlanetWaves.FM.

The Exquisite Realization of Health

Published by under Daily Astrology Blog

The curious sympathy one feels when feeling with the hand the naked
meat of the body,
The circling rivers the breath, and breathing it in and out,
The beauty of the waist, and thence of the hips, and thence downward
toward the knees,
The thin red jellies within you or within me, the bones and the
marrow in the bones,
The exquisite realization of health;
O I say these are not the parts and poems of the body only, but of the soul,
O I say now these are the soul!

from “I Sing the Body Electric” by Walt Whitman

Dear Friend & Reader:

I’m a little numb, and maybe punchy. The last time I stayed up late on a school night glued to the television watching political history in the making was in 1974 with the gavel-to-gavel coverage of the Watergate hearings. the President of the United States, who swore on a Bible to uphold the Constitution of the United States — had acted above the law. This was a highly serious accusation striking a blow against the once sacrosanct office of the President. It shook us out of the trees of our innocence about politics, presidents and executive privilege. Those heady days I wanted to know what history felt like, and it was right there televised live.

Almost 36 years later, most of Sunday afternoon and well into the night I did exactly the same thing. Only this time watching C-SPAN televising Congress’ vote on the Health Care Reform bill, gavel-to-gavel, from the first arguments and proposed amendments in the afternoon until shortly before midnight and its final approval.  House Speaker Nancy Pelosi brought down a very special gavel to approve the bill. It was  the same gavel used in 1965 to approve Medicare, the last time we got a crucial piece of the social contract right with individual Americans. Like the Health Care Reform bill signed by President Obama, when the original Medicare was passed we had won only half the battle. It took amendments to the primary Medicare bill to make the system Americans rely on today.

Today at Planet Waves

Published by under Daily Astrology Blog

Good morning. We’ll be back in a bit with today’s Oracle and Fe-911, not necessarily in that order. A bit later I’ll post an open thread on the USA Sibley Chart so you can get a piece of that action; which will get my rear in gear on one of the few missing Cosmic Confidential articles on the USA charts (there are two widely accepted charts [one more than the other], and I’ll explain the difference when I post Sibley, which is the July 4 chart used by most astrologers). Excuse me half a moment while I get Fe-911 ready. –efc

Astrology Today: The Oracle for Weds., March 24, 2010

Published by under Daily Astrology Blog

Today’s Oracle takes us back to the Libra monthly of July 1999

The Oracle.

I get the idea that you are struggling to change your mind about something large and overwhelming, and yet also very personal. I don’t know what it is, and it could be a meta-theme that affects numerous aspects of your existence. But I can give some general lines of approach to the process. Using astrology itself as a metaphor, consider that this craft involves exploring existence through most technical analysis of data (traditionally a Virgo process) alternately with, or simultaneously with, surrendering to the most etheric influences of soul and cosmos (traditionally a Pisces process). Composing music or creating art works the same way; full expression is achieved through what is at once mystical and highly disciplined. In the coming two months, I suggest honoring art as a divine process. Listen to music as if it was a direct expression of religious wisdom; consider lyrics over and over again, as a rabbi would read the Torah; view visual art with awe and wonder and as a direct window to the universe. If you practice daily, it will help — help, that is, to move your soul to the act of creation itself. And only this will save you.
