What’s weird is that this concert was the last gift I gave the Beloved last year just before he fell into the (3-)Million Dollar Abyss.

John McLaughlin and Chick Corea worked together with Miles Davis in the late 1960s…on his eclectic Bitches Brew album. They have threatened to put a band together ever since. Now that they have reached the end of their own bands careers, Coreas’ “Return to Forever” and McLaughlins’ “Mahavishnu Orchestra”, the time was right to tour and record.
Friday’s gig was the last of the American dates…you can read all about these two sons of the “Man with the Horn” over here….
Interestingly enough……both found Spiritual Enlightenment along the way…… Gurus…White Robes….and Meditation…..but simply put music at the Altar of their existence and relapsed back into playing some killer grooves….!!
Some kind of relapse…..!!
