Today’s Oracle takes us to the Cancer weekly of Sept. 17, 1999

We both known you are tenacious, but your ongoing obsessive streak has to end sooner or later because your mind needs a rest. Too much attention to detail or petty politics can blind you to the greater realities, as well as the more subtle aspects of your environment, which can, in turn, block you from noticing opportunities when they present themselves — including opportunities to relax. You’re more or less scheduled to pull back next week, though I really suggest you do it a lot sooner, and get a grip on reality while there’s still a handle.

(The Daily Oracle is a random selection from one of 10,000 Eric Francis horoscopes. The Oracle is a divination tool like tarot cards, and also can be used to research any horoscope for the past 10 years. It is available to subscribers of Planet Waves Astrology News in all its working glory. This is a brilliant piece of programming combined with a full decade of Eric’s writing — when you have a question, it really works (as long as you’re sincere), and we know that you’ll love it. 1. Ah..,well this will obviously have to be the most relaxed house move I have ever made. Laid back logistics…sigh. And is it significant that I leave the place that has been my solace, my refuge, my castle for the last few years, this week of all weeks? That I step off the cliff to chance floating in the warm thermals once more? Ooh I think so.

Mysti – big love to you. x PT.

  2. God bless you for sharing smilla, hope “this year will be a little different” includes melting all the snow. We love you.

  3. September 17 was the day I always celebrated as Sara’s ‘labor day’ – the day she started making the waves that birthed her on the 19th. As she had died a few months before, on 9/17/99 I was just starting to move through anaesthesia and into authentic grief. Relax? Only if we can call an avalanche the relaxation of snow.

Twas the beginning of what I have come to call the Sara-season: 66 days between her birthday and deathday that are ‘set aside.’ This year will be a little different. Thanks for the heads-up.

  4. Never mind, it was September 2003, not 1999. Perhaps there’s a divine message in there somewhere though!

  5. Well done Oracle. . . . .that was the week I (the Cancer Sun person) composed my resignation letter to the company I’d worked for for (a little) over 29 years. Didn’t submit it for a couple of weeks, had to be sure, you know, but when I did I knew it was the right thing. Can’t say I noticed any opportunities to relax though; not for another six months anyway, but the gist of what you say is a divine message of truth. For then. Will wait to see if it is apropro for today.
