Why They Sank the Titanic

Here is the film we were discussing yesterday. I am not suggesting saying that this is the truth, but to me it presents a scenario that most closely resembles the charts. There are some facts presented in this film that are explained by one of the interviews in my article from Friday, such as why Californian and Titanic were not able to rendez-vous.

And this whole thing needs to be fact-checked and some effort put into debunking it. What we have here is a combination of interpretation of some of the available facts, and some speculation — which together offer an alternate scenario. In short, Titanic is presented as an insurance scam going terribly wrong — and whatever form that took, it’s the kind of scenario that is well supported by the charts, which point to deception going all the way to the top.

  1. arrowforwhere,

Much obliged for your sleuthing, this was quite a revelation. Must get myself one of those Larousse Encylopedia’s!

  2. Nice one, Rob! This calls for a joke: “A Jew and a Chinaman were in a bar together. The Jew brought up the subject of Pearl Harbor, reprimanding the Chinaman for the disgraceful role his countrymen had played. He protested vehemently, pointing out that the raid had been made by the Japanese, and that China was in no way to blame: “Japanese, Chinese, they’re all the same to me,” reported the Jew.Pretty soon the Chinese fellow started talking about the tragic sinking of the Titanic, asking the guy if he didn’t feel some degree of personal responsibility about it.”Hey, wait a minute!” protested the guy. “The Jews didn’t have anything to do with the sinking of the Titanic-it was sunk by an iceberg!” “Iceberg, Goldberg,” said the Chinaman, “they’re all the same to me.” (told to me by my (Jewish) father when I was a kid)

  3. What happened to the post with all of the feedback on Titanic? There were 28 comments last time I looked.

  4. I was wondering why nobody told John Astor and came across this:

“There is another conspiracy that the boat was sunk to knock off Three of the richest people in the world opposed the Federal Reserve in the United States because they knew the repercussions of a private institution dictating the monetary trends within the country. These people were Benjamin Guggenheim, Isa Strauss, and Jacob Astor; all of which were aboard the Titanic when it sank.”

  5. Don’t know if you talked about the mythology in your subscriber article, because I currently am not subscribed. But after watching the documentary (which, yes, did seem to make a fair amount of speculation in the same way Loose Change did about 911) I decided to look up Titan in my Larousse Encyclopedia of Mythology. Kind of interesting; here are a few bits:

“The Titans ….were jealous of the new Gods (of Olympus)” Zeus’ new
allies, as a result of having freed them, the Hecatoncheires, “seized in their enormous arms great boulders and crushed the Titans… all things melted and boiled: the River Ocean, the immense sea and the entire earth…and the Titans were finally defeated and…cast into the abysmal depths of the earth as far below its surface as is the earth itself from the sky. It is there among impenetrable shadows and foul vapours, at the very end of the world, that the Titans, by the will of the king of the heavens, are buried”
