Note to readers —
We will be joining some of our favorite websites — Wikipedia, Craig’s List and others — and be taking Planet Waves offline between noon and midnight on Wednesday. This is in protest of proposed federal laws that would turn the Internet into a copyright trolling playground, all but ban free speech, incite paranoia and make sure that the only views you see are the ones that someone with a lot of money and advertising pre-approved of.
We will be posting black screens over our main page and the /pagetwo/ blog publication where this article is posted. We’ll resume regular updates at midnight.

Millions of Americans oppose SOPA and PIPA because these bills would censor the Internet and slow economic growth in the U.S.
Two bills before Congress, known as the Protect IP Act (PIPA) in the Senate and the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) in the House, would censor the Web and impose harmful regulations on American business. Millions of Internet users and entrepreneurs already oppose SOPA and PIPA.
The Senate will begin voting on January 24th. Please let them know how you feel. Sign this petition urging Congress to vote NO on PIPA and SOPA before it is too late.

When I look up an article in Wikipedia, I see the article then I get a redirect to their black screen.

Wiki is still up….I just checked there and looked up stuff in English. They have a small sentence saying it is locked but how is that when I can still access information?
