Charts for Egypt

Good morning. I’ve pulled together a few charts for Egypt, preparing for my coverage this week. I’ve got four charts on one HTML page.

They are: the Republic of Egypt, as cast by Nick Campion in the Book of World Horoscopes, and its progressed chart in Quotidian Secondary Progressions (day per year planetary movement, and ascendant progresses one degree per day). Note that Campion gives several charts leading up to this one, including independence from England. This document also includes the stated time of death for Anwar Sadat — the time of the assassination itself is not generally stated, and 2:40 pm is given as the time he was pronounced dead. And finally there is the chart for Mohamed Bouazizi self-immolating in December, in Tunisia, which set off protests there. That time is from Al Jazeera (which I’ve read has now been banned from Egypt).

On a minor planet note, we have another major news chart turning up with Pholus on the MC — Bouazizi. The other recent chart with this placement was the shooting in Tucson, where Pholus, the second discovered centaur, was the highest planet in a chart with a very basic minor planet chart set (three asteroids, three dwarf planets, three centaurs).

  1. Eric,

Thanks for providing these charts; I look forward to your further thoughts on them. I have been studying the chart for the Mubarak Regime (10/14/81) and although it is full of amazing patterns, one planet in particular seems the most relevant and that is Saturn (or lack of). In this chart transiting Jupiter will exactly oppose the Regime’s Saturn at 13 Libra 50 on March 26, 2011 (coinciding with it’s square to the U.S. Sibly Sun and activating the U.S. Sibly Saturn at 14 Libra 48).

Meanwhile, the Mubarak Regime is already into a Saturn return, with the first pass of transiting Saturn crossing the natal Saturn last November. In its retro phase, transiting Saturn will conjunct the Regime’s Saturn the first week in April and the final conjunction will take place in mid-August this year.

The January 4 New Moon also squared the Regime’s Saturn from 13 Capricorn 39 making it clear that the Mubarak government, including the police and any other institution of containment had reached a crisis point.

The Vernal Equinox on March 20, 2011, also emphasizes this critical cardinal degree area with a double opposition consisting of Saturn and the Moon in Libra opposed to Jupiter and Mercury in Aries, and these four planets will square Pluto in a loose, but within orb, T-square. The Equinox Saturn at 14 Libra 57 rx and Jupiter at 12 Aries 26 will put the squeeze on the Mubarak Regime’s Saturn at 13 Libra 50.

In the Equinox chart the Moon seemingly supports this Saturn (which is also the Saturn return of the Regime) while opposing tightly the Equinox Mercury and less tightly the Equinox Jupiter. She also trines the Equinox Venus in Aquarius. Could this mean the “people” (Moon) show preference for structure revision (Saturn rx) over talk of expansion (Mercury, Jupiter) because it would include financial (Venus) support (relief?) from “friends” and organizations (Aquarius) for them? In any case, it is Pluto who will get to the bottom of the mess and transiting Pluto trines the Mubarak Regime Moon in Taurus.
