Moon makes its way toward Saturn, and also Chiron

If Monday came with a sensation of heaviness, that was the Scorpio Moon making its way into a sign where Saturn is now located. The Moon-Saturn conjunction is exact at 2:30 pm EDT on Tuesday. There’s another wrinkle — Venus in Taurus is making its way into an opposition with Saturn, exact just past midnight Friday, June 13. With both of these aspects, it’s necessary to guard your resources. Yes, that might mean money; Venus-Saturn has a reputation for needless loss. But I also mean your human resources. Saturn’s presence translates to don’t push back against resistance; work around any resistance you might feel; move around any immovable objects, anything that does not seem to flow. It’s important to know when to exert your energy, and this is not the time, as far as I can see. However, I don’t mean be passive. I mean choose carefully how you allocate your feelings, your resources, your attention. Be conscious of what you have and appreciate it. Notice if something is being taken from you. Under Moon-Saturn or Venus-Saturn there can be a sense of lack. Because the Moon is riding toward full phase, emotions may be running hot and high. Amidst all of this there is a side-door: Chiron is involved in the aspect pattern, in an exact trine to Saturn. So whatever aspects Saturn also aspects Chiron. The way through is to become aware of something you might not have noticed. There may be a resource, a workaround, an ally, a method, a secret portal, another way of seeing the situation. Chiron is in Pisces, which might be elusive or might be the beacon in the dark that you will only see if you’re looking. It might be the idea you never thought would work, or the song you never thought you could write.

  1. That’s a lot, Beth! Maybe too much to hold in the mind? I’m drawn to the fact that your T-Square seems to have the 5th house as an outlet point (natal Jupiter essentially funneling that T-square action to the 5th). Maybe it’d be a good time to do something creative? For the sake of the process and what you experience, rather than the outcome.

For example, sometimes I like to imagine that I’m sitting on a specific part of my chart, and that I can see the whole thing around me and then tune into what I’m feeling – emotionally or body-wise. Sometimes it’s a body ache I can lean into that then reveals a memory from childhood that’s tied into the astrological configuration. Sometimes it’s less precise. And then I’ll open my eyes and start grabbing collage materials (pictures) that I’m drawn to and assemble them in some way.

In any case, thanks for inspiring me to take some time to write about my own transits right now. So many exact contacts! Very cool.

  2. Thank you Amanda. I’m still learning, but it’s beautiful when it clicks. I also thought I should add that I am getting an extra boost because there are a lot of other things going on in my chart.

My natal Jupiter will be exactly conjunct the Sun on Friday in my 11th House, and the Moon will fill the empty spot in my Natal T-Square – Pluto/Uranus square Jupiter square Chiron/Saturn, creating a grand mutable cross involving the full moon, transiting Pholus (retrograde) is conjunct the moon, Quaoar is in the mix, and the Galactic Center is just 4 degrees away from this full moon. This should be interesting, I think I will be using the waterfall flow of emotions I mentioned earlier all week and weekend and will hopefully have a lot of time alone to process all the information and emotions flooding into my healing experience. Quaoar indicates a generational healing, I’m hoping it’s a healing of a multi-generational experience of loss (leaving everything behind to move to America, losing everything in the depression, and lots of other stuff), but Pluto/Uranus could surprise me.

Transiting Chiron is conjunct my natal Chiron/Saturn with transiting Neptune approaching a conjunction with the Saturn side. This side of my natal T-square is trine natal Neptune conjunct transiting Saturn opposite transiting Venus, perhaps there is something I need to learn about other people’s money in relation to my home life, relationships and business, my office is in my home, so this could be more complex, that in order to heal I need more of a balance and structure and less idealism in these areas…

The opposition of Venus and Saturn/Neptune is square my natal Mars conjunct Pholus, and natal Venus is right in there too. And to top it all off Pluto has been sitting on my natal Mercury for a long time now, and this is sextile Saturn/Chiron… it all makes me dizzy. I am going to be expecting a release with this full moon, some surprising sudden breakthrough on many levels, and I am hoping it is effective with as little suffering as possible. It could involve self-esteem, creativity, constructive healing through groups (I would have to assume that Planet Waves is a big part of it). And the home/work relationships may receive a sudden jolt of assertiveness and it will play out depending on how well I have been working with Saturn/Neptune/Chiron, grounding the healing and creating some structure out of it, and trying to see where the illusions/delusions may lurk. It looks like this weekend will be explosive, I’m hoping it’s popping with fireworks.

Let me know if I am interpreting any of this incorrectly, I would greatly appreciate any input. And I realize I have not looked at house rulership, which could clarify things further. I will look at that next…

  3. The pain is teaching me a lot about my visceral nature and primal needs. I just hope I can be educated into better harmony with myself before the grief really kicks in.

  4. I did my best to work with the planets involved yesterday, the emotions of the moon, the healing energy of Nessus (which is finally accessible thanks to all the discussion about Nessus), but also the digging deep into all the muck of the past, so much has been bubbling up to the surface, Mercury aiding my mind in sorting through it all. And knowing that this would all lead to a healing moment this afternoon with Chiron trine Saturn, helped me to focus and see the emotions as a waterfall, flowing in and flowing on and away over the edge. This, and Saturn’s influence, allowed me to focus on the work needing to be completed, which in the end was more of a solo project and helped me to be a bystander witnessing my emotions and the heavy Scorpio. Releasing myself from their grip, I accomplished what needed to be done.

Venus is currently in my 10th house, and on Friday will be sextile transiting Chiron in Pisces and pretty close to a sextile to Jupiter in Cancer. It is opposite my natal Neptune which is conjunct transiting Saturn. Saturn is helping to ground the Neptune influence, and Jupiter and Chiron are expanding the sense of healing I am receiving from Neptune’s dreaminess and the emotions that are moving through. Though Venus is also square my natal Mars, so I am hoping that by laying low this week I won’t get pulled into external drama and will be able to use this time to work on healing the early wounds I received from the Nessus placement in my chart.

It feels as if this is all leading up to the late July Mercury opposite Pluto, and then a few days later Venus opposite Pluto at the same time as the new moon conjunct Jupiter in early Leo. We need to clear some stuff out during this Mercury retrograde so that we are better able to access the even deeper material that will come up in late July.

  5. Did Monday come with a sense of heaviness? Man, did it ever. Still trying to regain my forward momentum after what feels like another set-back (due to choices I keep making) — ugh, was close to tears all day yesterday. Looking forward to the Gemini call-in session tonight!!! My twins feel at odds.
