Planet Waves Monthly Horoscope for January 2023 | Go To All Signs
By Eric Francis Coppolino

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20) — Jupiter has departed your sign and entered Aries, which is the start of a new cycle for you. It’s true that these happen in a diversity of styles (such as the Capricorn New Moon now underway). Jupiter in your own sign on and off through 2022 has left you with a sense of your potential, and has filled in more cracks than you may imagine. Whatever stresses you were under, or cracks you were filling in, you fared much better thanks to Jupiter’s presence. The Aries stage of the journey, which lasts through May, is about gathering your resources, and also, recognizing what they are. You might conduct an inventory of your abilities, your natural talents and your tools of the trade. A lot gets overlooked in our world, where there is so much activity, and where there are so many material possessions that we forget we have them. Before you set out to acquire something new, check your inventory and determine whether you already have it. I would remind you that the most important thing you have is yourself. Most people do not know this. We are taught over and over again to seek nearly anything and everything outside ourselves. Now is an excellent time to turn that around.

Planet Waves Monthly Horoscope for December 2022 | Go To All Signs
By Eric Francis Coppolino

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20) — The Sun and its friends Mercury and Venus are now crossing your most aspirational angle, encouraging you to aim your sights high and think not just about this year but where you want to be five years from now. At the same time, Jupiter is spending its last few weeks in Pisces; this visit was a bit of a tease, lasting just under two months. However, Jupiter in Aries is no slouch, and it will spend five months transiting the financial angle of your solar chart. This is your invitation to place much more emphasis on improving your financial situation. However, the astrological key is this: knowing your priorities, your spending patterns, and your allocation of personal resources (attention, creativity, emotional output) must be directed at what you actually want and need. No matter what your state of abundance is, it’s possible to run at a loss due to various forms of waste, many of which do not directly involve money. But plenty does, and this is why your diligent assessment of your priorities is essential. One of the next major points of transition, approaching sooner than you think, is Saturn entering your sign in March. This will call for an approach of full-on discipline that I suggest you get into the groove of before this transit begins. Saturn in your sign can serve as a true blessing, especially for Pisces, which has a tendency to take things as they come. Saturn’s presence can represent a period of achievement and a relief from living in the midst of so many unknowns. Yet, you must do that old-fashioned thing and apply yourself.

Planet Waves Monthly Horoscope for November 2022 | Go To All Signs
By Eric Francis Coppolino

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20) — Jupiter arriving for one last visit to your sign, and the recent eclipse in Scorpio, are offering you plenty of energy to draw on. Do so wisely, by which I mean take your opportunities to rest, recharge, repair — and to work in a way that nourishes you. If you are feeling stressed, slow down. Nearly everything can wait. Make sure that you give yourself the necessary nutrients for a Pisces, and feed your pleasure-seeking and hedonistic side. Pisces is an extraordinarily sensitive sign and one that is most challenged by the competitive, fiery nature of the world at this time. You need places of softness and comfort; you need to disconnect from the electrical realm and spend time in nature. More than anything, your chart is calling on you to create a new vision for your life. That is the true meaning of an eclipse in Scorpio. The forthcoming eclipse in Taurus will show you how to revise and reorganize your thoughts and even to think in entirely new ways. Take the ride and allow yourself to experience a revolution in how you experience the power of your own mind. You are fortunate to be born under the sign blessed with the greatest gift of flexibility, which includes your ability to see the world, and yourself, from many points of view. Take full advantage of those abilities.

Planet Waves Monthly Horoscope for October 2022 | Go To All Signs
By Eric Francis Coppolino

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20) — Your present yoga is to be vigilant with the use of your resources, and as the case may be, those of other people. Whether in great or modest abundance, those resources exist, and are calling for impeccable and thoughtful allocation. You are in the position of making decisions for anything that you control. And those decisions require firm grounding, which means applied practical ethics and values. Working in this realm also requires you to bring out your negotiation skills. This does not mean pandering to the will and viewpoint of others, but rather collaborating with them to find the common ground that you share. This is all for the purpose of getting something done — that needs to be done, for a common objective, not a private one. One of the resources that you offer is guidance determining what that purpose is. Whatever others may believe, I am here to say that you’re the one who has the compass pointing to True North. The only question is whether you use it, and I suggest that you do. Pisces has the ability to subvert its own personal needs and see with objectivity what must be so. This ability can also be corrupted, leading to self-indulgence and refusal to accept basic facts of life. You must be vigilant about the differences between these two states of being, which at times will seem to blur into one another. But they will still be distinguishable if you work out the equation for yourself. Bear in mind that the one thing not questioned in capitalist society is the seemingly inalienable right to be selfish. This is the very nemesis of both collective survival and the ability to thrive. Much depends on your ability to see the interests of others as not separate from your own, and to act on that basis. You have what it takes to get that right.

Planet Waves Monthly Horoscope for September 2022 | Go To All Signs
By Eric Francis Coppolino

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20) —  The message of the forthcoming Mars retrograde, and Mars in Gemini generally, is to keep your house in order. This includes your physical home, your interior emotional space, and your communications with immediate relatives and neighbors. “House in order” starts as simply as cleaning and organizing. Dig out a closet, clean a drawer, and in the process, sort out little elements of the past. Toss what you don’t need, keep what is valuable, and make a conscious decision regarding everything you touch. These activities, mundane as they seem, will ground you and help you concentrate your power. As you get into the groove of conquering your bookshelves and undergarment drawer, your presence in your wider and more visible life will shift. And you will have a more positive influence on the people around you — that being a fact of your existence. Your presence shifts environments, whether you say something or not, and no matter how invisible you may feel. I’m suggesting something that many people find difficult to grasp, which is to work in the background, including your private spaces, to have greater control over what happens out in the open. As you do this, you may discover a refreshed sense of purpose, well-needed clarity and a boost of energy. The message of your solar chart, taken as a whole, is to keep your interests close to home, and to focus on what you have determined to be your most important purpose of this incarnation. In a sense, your purpose is your home, and you strengthen your core by focusing on what is most important to you. Now, this is always a process of development and of working-out, and you do that as you go. Just like you sort out one drawer or one closet at a time, and train your mind to make decisions and to be happy with making slow yet steady progress toward your objective.

Planet Waves Monthly Horoscope for August 2022 | Go To All Signs
By Eric Francis Coppolino

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20) — Do as much as you can using as little of your resources as you can. Said another way, spend what you need to, but focus on efficiency. Use existing structures as much as possible, and focus on your activity: doing what you want and need to do, as you deem appropriate. You have adequate resources, and now the question is what you do with them.

While the digital age has, in a sense, turned nearly everyone into a “public person,” you have an unusual opportunity approaching if you do anything that reaches a community wider than your immediate friends. You can afford to push some limits in terms of what you say and how you say it. And remember that anything you say will be amplified, magnified and transformed — so you might therefore stick to a simple and refined message that is easier to aim than a complicated one.

That said, you’re in an exciting social environment, where the planets are describing you being a little more overtly provocative than your usual laidback Pisces soul encourages. Get out and among people, and don’t take anyone too seriously if they bark, growl or are offended by your purple bonnet. Your sense of humor is your passport: being witty and having your wits about you are closely related. No matter how offended anyone gets, smile and say, “You don’t like my hat?”

The New Moon in Leo suggests this is a highly productive time in your life, where you can accomplish nearly anything you can think of. Make sure that your priorities include some of what you want the very most. In your quest to do the right thing, you could forget; but the First Law of Being a Fish is to honor the pleasure principle.

Planet Waves Monthly Horoscope for July 2022 | Go To All Signs
By Eric Francis Coppolino

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)  — Rather than judge your success (or otherwise) based on recent events or performance, it will be helpful if you take a longer view. Looking at your immediate vicinity, there are all kinds of stress points, various ups/downs, and jolts that can distort your perspective. Neptune creeping through your sign (2011-2026) has an inherently distorting effect on your ability to see yourself and what you’re doing.  Neptune can also bring a false sensation of isolation, and a sense of lack or scarcity when that is not true.

I would propose that the first measure of success is to investigate whether you’re being true to yourself in whatever you may do, or decide. Do your work and your relationships align with what you hold to be right and true? I know that’s a big question, though at this stage of your life, it’s worth asking, and answering.
Next: are you planning your next few moves? While I don’t mean to take anyone out of “the moment” since “that is all there really is,” there is something essential for you about having an idea about what direction you are headed next, or where you want to be in whatever the next stage of your life means to you.
That could involve where you live, what job you have (and generally) what you do every day, and how you envision your relationship life. It is easy to get caught in the propaganda of others, who might try to decide for you, or persuade you of some truth other than your own.

Therefore, all things being possible, where do you want to be, and moreover, how do you want to feel? The astrology of the moment is perfect for making that assessment, because you are — for a beautiful and somewhat rare moment — aligned with that elusive thing known as your values. Let that translate into goals, priorities, needs and desires — and then write them on the wall.

Planet Waves Monthly Horoscope for June 2022 | Go To All Signs
By Eric Francis Coppolino

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)  — Financial advice: bring in more than you spend. Cut costs and increase revenue. If you invest, buy when it’s low, and sell when it’s high. Wow, brilliant! It’s actually slightly more complex than that. At the center is a matter of personal ethics: what you determine to be right for you, factoring in the greatest good for all concerned. Usually, the two will line up, though that alignment can also be described as a life skill that you gradually acquire. Let’s take them in order. As a Pisces, you are “out of dharma” when you do anything specifically to make money, and which does not also align with your deeper purpose for living. Therefore, at your best, you act on what is right, or even what is the thing to do at the time. You are your most valuable asset. All of your talents, abilities, experience and the tools of your trade come along with that. You are worth investing in yourself, and may even be worth the investment of others. As for the second: despite the great pressure to feather your nest as a supposed vocation, all that you do must overflow into your community. Self-serving can come in the form of “take care of yourself, so you can take care of others,” though the two go together as part of one equation. This precludes the notion of sacrifice as a way of life, though there are times when you will give what you need personally to someone who needs it more. Rather than lend, pass forward, and encourage the same. And more than anything, be open to receiving.

Planet Waves Weekly for April 28, 2022 | Go To All Signs
By Eric Francis Coppolino

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)  — Your life is going better than you may think. Pisces is always aware of the limits of the physical world. Neptune in your sign can present you with the sensation that there is something missing. Be careful of this; your glass is pretty full, and must always be at least a little empty. If you could, you would probably make two adjustments: there is something going on where your recent locale meets your community life and home life. This is not an easy situation for anyone right now, and your chart is calling attention to change what you can make to improve your circumstances. Second, finances are an issue, though not the one that you may think. Chiron in Aries is creating a distortion; Jupiter entering Aries will provide some reassurance and material sustenance. Yet it is vital at all times that you align your money, your values, and the personal truth that you seek. Be absolutely real at all times. There is no wiggle room whatsoever.

Planet Waves Monthly Horoscope for May 2022 | Go To All Signs
By Eric Francis Coppolino

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)  — Jupiter making its move into Aries, the money angle of your chart, is your reminder to ensure that your priorities are in alignment with your finances. While this is the best transit anyone could dream of for improving their cash flow (and it happens just once per 12 years), you in particular have a need to be wholly in accord with what you do to earn your living. This extends to how you use your money, and all of your resources. You are bound by a higher law, or perhaps are more aware of this fact than most people, and this is one of the defining features of your lifetime. There’s no pretending here: your blessings depend upon your daily choice to do the right thing. This includes plenty of leeway for experimentation (in fact, this is essential). It specifically excludes doing what you know is not right for you, what you don’t believe in, or what in any way lacks social or creative value. Be bold about this. Stand fully in who you are, and what you know is true. Give yourself permission to act on long-delayed desires. Mean what you make down to your bones. You are granted an unusual degree of both talent, and confidence by others, and currently you’re at your most persuasive. These are extraordinary powers, and privileges, in a world that is running on very little faith or trust.

Planet Waves Weekly for April 15, 2022, for the Libra Full Moon| Go To All Signs
By Eric Francis Coppolino

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20) — After a week of spectacular activity in your birth sign, Mars has entered the mix, coming with the message: get real. Real means taking action on what you know is possible. As my favorite horoscope writer Sally Brompton said this week, give your dreams a name. Yet while Mars in your sign might always move you in this direction, the rare connection of Jupiter and Neptune is saying that the higher you set your intentions and ambitions, the more likely you are to get a result. You have waited a long time for this moment; recognize that it has actually arrived, and that you have arrived in full possession of your resources and your soul. Pisces is blessed with the ability to explore the whole ocean, though tropical fish seem happy enough living in an aquarium. The choice is yours.

Planet Waves Monthly Horoscope for April 2022 — Part 2 | Go To All Signs
By Eric Francis Coppolino

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20) — The singularly great astrological event of 2022 takes place in your sign, and involves its classical ruling planet (Jupiter), the modern ruling planet (Neptune) and even the planet that is exalted in your sign (Venus) is showing up for the festivities. While I am always reluctant to write a glowing prognosis for the future in a horoscope column — the world is too complicated, and there is always something that can go wrong — you simply must be optimistic about your life at this time. I don’t mean hopeful. I mean: engage your passion, your faith in existence, your ideas, and the people who love you, and do what you came to do on this planet. Some people know what this is instinctively. Some find out through a process of experimentation. Most people, though, hear a voice whispering to them that they ignore or brush off. They have a sense of what they really want, along with a whole load of excuses why that thing cannot be. Others are consumed by fear and insecurity. In our time, many are subverted by the nagging sensation that even if there is a future, it won’t be worth living. To you who may consult astrology for a reading of the signs and the omens, that’s not what they are saying now — certainly not for you. Yes, there will be challenges in the future, and some serious ones. Yet that also presents you with an occasion you can rise to. Anyway, you are here now, and for all you know, this is your one and only lifetime — and it’s happening at this moment. This is your moment, there is no time to wait, no justification to do anything but step into the truth of your existence, and to envision your reality in the highest possible form. Start where you are — and proceed from there.

Planet Waves Monthly Horoscope for April 2022 | Go To All Signs
By Eric Francis Coppolino

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20) —  The forthcoming (once-in-a-lifetime) Jupiter-Neptune conjunction in your birth sign is the closest thing to cosmic reassurance available in all of astrology. Your mind may be cooking up various worst-case scenarios, even though you’re standing on solid ground and have your priorities in order. While fear can be a warning system, it is not reality — particularly in our current time of high anxiety, and the way that it’s showing up in your chart. Therefore, do what you can to address any angst you’re feeling on your terms rather than its terms. For example, rather than scrambling to fix or address the thing you’re concerned about, size up your mental and emotional state. Look closely at the facts and figures. Evaluate other factors that could be leading to how you feel, or what you think. And consider all the influences working in your favor. The way your current solar chart is set up, you get a choice. In fact you get many choices; everything hinges on the decision of who and what you think you are. Meanwhile, fear is a profound form of stress, and you are being given an opportunity to learn how to process it. If you focus on this as a spiritual growth project, you will learn plenty; you are definitely experiencing some form of inner shift. It’s as if you’re processing some ancient karma that has little to do with your current circumstances, or even your current lifetime. There is an ancestral level to your situation. This calls for noticing how you may be responding as if you’re living in the distant past, or within the reality frame of someone long gone from the planet. Yes, this is an appropriate time to address certain financial matters, though the deeper scenario there is self-respect and finding the confidence to do exactly what you need to do, when you need to do it. I would say put your faith in the Jupiter-Neptune conjunction, though that is saying to put your faith in yourself and your higher power.

Special Edition for New Moon — March 3, 2022

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20) — There are a lot of possibilities. They are pretty much all open to you, though your emotional state is what unlocks any potential that is accessible to you. You will not notice what is right in front of you if you’re not tuned to that vibration. Therefore, you would be wise to organize your life around being relaxed, alert and in a creative state of being. (One exercise I’m experimenting with is sitting down on the couch and picking up a guitar for a few minutes before I sit down at my desk.) The challenge of feeling good lately is that there are so many reasons to feel terrible, and there seem to be more showing up every day. You can see exactly what they are, too. Jupiter in your sign at the moment seems to be magnifying what you may perceive are your defects, or your past injuries. Yet if that is true, there’s a different way to think of it. If you can stick with the basic truth that your actions have consequences, then you will be more concerned with how you make decisions. That is the deeper message of your astrology.

Planet Waves Monthly Horoscope for March 2022 | Go To All Signs
By Eric Francis Coppolino

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20) — You’re still here. You still exist. You will feel that with increasing vividness as the Sun moves into and through your sign. We are entering that rare four weeks every year when the entire world is a Pisces, and all Pisces get to be fish swimming in water. Feel your presence on the planet. Be willing to face the challenges of life with a positive and self-affirming attitude. We are in the most unusual era in the lives of Pisces in many, many years — certainly, since Chiron was in your sign (spanning 2010-2019) and possibly long before. Several things are happening at once. The two rulers of Pisces are in your sign, and are soon to form a conjunction. This is an actual once-in-a-lifetime event, now building to a peak that will take place on April 12, 2022. (While this pairing happens approximately every 13 years, it will happen once and once only in Pisces unless you count the upcoming Jupiter-Neptune conjunction in Pisces on May 10, 2188). The problem with Neptune is that it can seem to run at a deficit. It can create a void, a sense of isolation, or a sense of invisibility. It can seem to lack substance, even though it has plenty. This illusion is now being reversed, with the presence of Jupiter; the classical ruler of Pisces. Jupiter is a kind of second Sun, and the ruler of the Solar System. Its gravity determines the orbit of every other planet. While its presence in Pisces will be relatively brief, it will help you resolve many past issues (Jupiter conjunct Nessus the first week of March), shine brightly and burn off karma (Jupiter conjunct the Sun) and revive your creative power and spiritual commitment. However, Pisces itself is the essence of the “trine” aspect in astrology: it demands honesty, and it calls for a self-starting approach. You are the one who must take action. Among the people you know, you are the one who must initiate action. Speaking of: the time has come to depend on your friends, and also to define friend as someone you can depend on: someone who grows with you, and who shares your mission, vision or at least the purpose you espouse.

Planet Waves Horoscope for February 3, 2022 | Go To All Signs
By Eric Francis Coppolino

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20) — This can be one of the best years of your life so far, though you will need to proceed with the awareness and preparation of a master yachtsman. With both Jupiter and Neptune in your birth sign, you are navigating the high seas of life. Therefore, make sure that before you set out to do anything, you are well-prepared, with good equipment and a seasoned crew. You don’t need a large group, but you need one that respects the fact that everyone’s wellbeing depends on everyone’s vigilance. If you’ve ever had the privilege of serving on a crew, you know that it depends on flawless teamwork and honoring a command structure. In the situation of your life, you are the captain and everyone must agree to that. Then the people you have around you need to get good at working together, which is a process that you design and lead. Part of leadership means finding others with leadership skills, and assigning them the correct, mutually acceptable roles. People must be given the chance to do what they are good at, as long as being good at something also includes working well with others. If you find you have any prima donnas in the mix, sideline them fast, and find someone who is both competent and has sufficient humility to not become the focus of attention. At this early date in the New World Order, you may have little idea what is at stake or what your real role is; do not limit yourself with small-minded thinking, or exaggerate your role with high expectations. Rather, plan and persist from day to day, ensuring that you are always thinking about fulfilling your service and how to finance your particular venture. This is closely associated with your self-respect. As is one other element of your current existence, equally relevant: how you relate to your friends, to groups, and to whatever you think the public is. It is essential that you not seek some kind of approval or consensus from outside your most immediate circle of collaborators. Rather than seeking to sway opinion, strive to be exactly who you are.

Planet Waves Monthly Horoscope for February 2022 | Go To All Signs
By Eric Francis Coppolino

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20) — It may be challenging or frightening to say in public what you believe privately. Yet whether you say so or not, the truth is known, or will be known. So you may as well be real, and that means not splitting your character. It means not having two or more versions of yourself, which you present for various ordinary or special occasions. There are people who live like this: I am me, and that’s what you get all the time. More often, people divide themselves, trying to hedge their bets, not alienate people, or to protect their professional income. Obviously this is no small matter. In fact, it is perhaps the single most important spiritual issue of our times: healing the split that digital technology has forced upon us, including the false mind/body dichotomy that was bad enough and then made worse. This can extend all the way out to proverbially speaking with a forked tongue, or leading a double life. (This issue comes up later in the year during Mars retrograde — see your TUNE IN 2022 reading.) However, one particular version of this issue is now imminent: you will be living here for a while. And that is the part about who you are what you say, and you are only one being, united with yourself. People can go through some deep stuff when they have to reconcile with themselves, and account for the reasons that they have come to live divided within or against themselves. You are entering one of those moments where it’s necessary to question everything, and at the fulcrum is how you present yourself to others in situations where there are three or more people. I recognize the utter terror some may feel when they say anything true, much less aspire to true consistency within themselves and with others. Yet that is the very essence and nature of being trustworthy. Where Pluto is involved, it will happen one way or the other, consciously or not, whether you choose to or not. That can be reassuring; and yes, you can choose.

Planet Waves Monthly Horoscope for January 2022 | Go To All Signs
By Eric Francis Coppolino

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20) — Jupiter is now in your sign, where it will be for much of 2022. This is your invitation to take care of yourself. That will mean pulling back a bit from your social agenda or public persona, and remembering that nobody else gets a vote about who you are. Focus on filling up your own pitcher, keeping warm rice on the stove, and getting your home in order. Recent years (dating back to late 2017) have come with some overexposure to the views of others, and to their seeming judgments. You need time to reflect, and be a Pisces: that means making the space for your introspective and pleasure-seeking self rather than any other. This will do more for your professional aspirations and your relationships than any form of outer effort. You might think of this as the “they come to you” time of your life, though you also want to be careful who you allow or invite into your home for the next 12 months. The official Pisces approach to life is gradual, persistent, and artful. In good times in your life, there is no rush, and this would be a fine time to slow down. Remove commitments from your schedule, and choose only new ones that fit your agenda and support your goals. Consider the fun factor in everything: there must be some element of pleasure in what you do. This will provide an important criterion for what you really want. I’m not proposing that you duck actual responsibility, but rather that you find a way to make it work for you, and serve who you are — particularly new assignments, gigs or commitments. There are many indicators that you will maintain some sort of public profile over the next 12 months, which may in fact increase substantially. Yet you are inherently a private person, and need a large space within your own life reserved just for you and your most valued intimate associates.
