Planet Waves Weekly Horoscope for May 28, 2026 — By Eric Francis
Today is horoscope 1,606. Detailed readings for your Sun, Moon and Rising Sign.
Aries (March 20-April 19) — Anyone with an interest in not being deceived would do well to stop believing anything. With belief as the standard, one is walking around with a hat on that says “fool me.” Belief asks for persuasion, not for tangible ideas or facts. Belief subverts curiosity; once you believe something, why look any further? Among the many influences in your sign is the slow-mover Borasisi, the little planet named for the Kurt Vonnegut novel Cat’s Cradle. The novel explores the idea that many truths conceal deception and many seeming lies contain a fertile seed of truth. So we can even go beyond the question of is this true or not, to what purpose does this idea serve? I realize that people who don’t like to think or don’t want to bother will not have much use for this idea. It will be as useful as a knife when you really need one.

Taurus (April 19-May 20) — One of the sticking points of your sign is preferring not to take the risk of expressing your feelings in words. Then you wonder why people are uncertain what you think or how you feel. You’re free to remain silent as long as you don’t mind being misunderstood. If you want to be understood, you’ll need to risk some vulnerability and be real with the people closest to you. I don’t mean broadcasting anything or making any public proclamations. I mean what you might say to just one person you care about at the breakfast table — not in a restaurant but in your home. For Taurus I’ve seen the question comes down to what is at times an extreme challenge around feeling vulnerable, which means ‘capable of being wounded’. Well, that’s true all the time, though intimacy requires openness so that feelings can be exchanged. The deeper question is one of trust. Can you?

Gemini (May 20-June 21) — This weekend’s Full Moon in your opposite sign Sagittarius holds up a mirror of your potential. Sagittarius is the sign of greater things and aspiring to the seemingly impossible. Your view of the world has the backdrop of our home galaxy; this is an astronomical fact and a metaphor for your existence. Being confronted with such vast possibilities often encourages you to retreat into what is known and familiar. But Uranus now in your birth sign (for the next seven years) is jolting you out of any such possibility. And joined with Uranus, your awareness is being shifted into much longer time scales. This implies thinking beyond your own lifetime and considering the future of your successors and of the planet itself. You might say you’re being whisked out of mere self-interest and into a wider collective reality. It’s going to take some power to sustain this. Many people would love to gas — or gaslight — you back to sleep.

Cancer (June 21-July 22) — There’s no success without a confrontation or controversy. Fortunately, you have the substance to support achievement. You’re at your most positive these days, with both Venus and Jupiter gracing your birth sign and heading for a conjunction that will light the evening sky for weeks. Now all you need is to summon your competitive spirit and let the world know what you have to offer. Yes, competitive — not on a par basis (what you’re offering is as good as what everyone else has) but rather because you’re up against people pretending to give who are really taking. You have an abundance of love, creativity and wisdom. In many ways this speaks for itself, and you can set a positive example. Yet your chart is calling on you to strive for bold, worldly achievement. This calls for strategy, persuasiveness and more than anything, holding a vision for yourself.

Leo (July 22-Aug. 23) — If you look at a conventional astrology chart, there is nothing going on in Leo. If you look deeper, or feel deeper, you will discover that you’re working with abundant energy that is tapped directly into the Earth. You can think strategically. You can learn from your mistakes, if you want. The cautionary note is about jealousy and a related emotion, envy. These present serious temptations for you, and have the power to disrupt your determination and your peace of mind. There is another temptation to reveal what you discovered or were told in confidence, which is directly related to jealousy and envy. Keep your mind on yourself and what you’re doing. All those other people are irrelevant to you, unless you choose to collaborate with some of them. Your social environment is changing rapidly and in unexpected ways. This is opening up plenty of space for you to experiment with your ideas and your plans.

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sep. 22) —
Your professional aspirations require you to uncouple yourself from history, from precedent and from your deeply ingrained personality tendencies. If you do this, you may feel unmoored from your reality and therefore unstable; and that would probably be an accurate description. I propose such would be beneficial. Yet the thing you’re most invested in is a kind of relationship where your identity depends on affirmation from another person. It’s one thing to be involved with someone and it’s something else to feel like you don’t exist without them. Is this language too strong? Or maybe it’s really not so bad? I don’t know; that’s for you to discover. You surely need room to maneuver, and especially to make financial choices that don’t involve whether another person says yes or no. You also need the freedom to have whatever friends you want, and have whatever conversation you want. And only you can offer this to yourself.

Libra (Sep. 22-Oct. 23) — This is a lavish moment of potential for you, if you can keep certain disruptive forces at bay. Mostly, that means not accepting the delusions of others as real. Anyone who stands out is going to attract the opinions of others, and some people who try to run interference. Anyone who succeeds at anything, especially those who display excellence in some form, is likely to attract a measure of envy, jealousy or competitiveness for its own sake. Aspire to great things and at the same time work with the devotion and focus of an artist. Do not invite others to see your work before it’s done, and I don’t suggest you talk about your plans with anyone other than those who are directly involved. Our culture only pretends to like originality and then does little to support it. You are an original, and this quality is at a peak right now. Skip the games and stick to your canvas.

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 22) — Mercury, Venus and Jupiter moving through your fellow water sign Cancer are encouraging you to take a more charitable view of existence. They are here to remind you that you live in a bigger world than you’ve previously imagined. Mars in your opposite sign Taurus, however, may have you feeling like everyone wants an argument. That is a narrow view of existence and it can blot out all else. You would, perhaps, be well-served to direct your compassionate perspective to those people as well, and to yourself. Mars also asks the question: how do you feel when people want you? How do you respond to those who approach you with desire, or admit their interest in you? I mean this specifically: what do you feel, what do you think and what do you do? How do you treat such people? I would remind you that you get to decide in every situation.

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 22) — For as creative and bold as you’ve been all year, it’s been difficult to ground your ideas in serious work or tangible accomplishments. It’s been difficult to support steady routines and on the whole there is way too much digital and far too little nature. You will get a taste of a different possibility when the distinctly Sagittarian planet Chiron makes its way into Taurus in three weeks. This lasts most of (northern hemisphere) summer, and then returns again next April. The message stands today: focus on one important priority. Yes, you have more than one, but as part of learning about and mastering the skill of prioritization, pick one thing and focus on it. Dedicate time, space and psychic bandwidth and develop what you have decided is the essential project, whether business or personal. You won’t know whether it’s truly the right thing unless you commit yourself to it fully for a while.

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 20) —
The Family Hunger Game pattern is going strong in your sign, calling your attention to matters of the distant past, or your personal past. Factors in your history have had a diversity of effects: wearing down your confidence, making it difficult to trust people, various forms of conditional love (which is not love) and encouraging the use of substances as a way to make it all stop. However, your ruling planet Saturn is in a position to help you get a grip on any runaway emotional reactions. It’s putting the brakes on the worst influences from the past, and encouraging you to firm up your inner sense of who you are. Though nobody much wants to hear this, it’s true that much of that ‘inner sense’ involves reckoning with your inner sexual orientation. Your outer presentation is the one others see and know about, and then there’s the inner one, which only you know about. That’s the place to focus.

Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 19) — You are positioned to be a driving force among your friends and even in a wider society, but you must set some parameters. Your sign is ruled by Saturn, which is the structure and the container. In the style of Aquarius, Saturn represents energy patterns and how information is conducted along the waves of consciousness. And Saturn represents honoring the limits of worldly knowledge. There is only so much you can know given your limited perspective. If you can reckon with these basic facts and honor the Saturn principle of self-governance, you will expand your potential vastly. The Saturn principle says that potential is released rather than restricted by working within boundaries. And then once those metes and bounds are well utilized, they can be expanded. It will be too easy for you to go into overload or to be obsessed with the seeming power of your influence. Please give that a miss.

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20) — With Venus and Jupiter moving through your fellow water sign Cancer, good things come from taking chances. Not random chances, nothing daredevil, but rather creative risks. You have what poet Marge Piercy called “the imaginative power to dare,” so, dare. Dare to be yourself and to be as beautiful as you are even if you’re not sure. Find out what you have through the experience of giving. Discover your inner truth by offering yourself. We’re talking about the 5th house, which is activated by doing what you might not ordinarily do; by approaching life from the perspective of a child; and from emphasizing pleasure over work. It’s true that you get a lot of benefit from work, and tap into abundant energy (you have Leo on that particular house). But the sky as it stands now and for the next 10 days or so is encouraging pleasure and play over productivity.
