Today is horoscope 1,609. Detailed readings for your Sun, Moon and Rising Sign.
Aries (March 20-April 19) — Chiron’s entry into Taurus is about getting your priorities in order. In the current version of the world, where nothing means anything and everything happens at the same time and nothing seems to have actual value, that is going to be a radical experience. It may feel linear, and it is. The word priority means establishing what comes first? What comes second? Much of the confusion we live with can be traced to not having made such decisions. And they are far beyond what a computer script can handle; they cannot be understood by some kind of “intelligence” device. In the absence of any such evaluation, it may seem like a good idea to be advised to pay the electric bill. But that is not what I’m talking about. I mean deciding what matters to you on a level comparable to oxygen.

Taurus (April 19-May 20) — Chiron enters your birth sign or rising sign Friday. For Taurus, this is as big as news gets — even on the heels of the relentless astrology of recent months, seasons and years. It is particularly manful because all of the transits have been powerful influences moving from feminine to masculine signs. Chiron moving from Aries to Taurus is the one exception. This represents female in the form of that which is feminine: receptivity, sensuality, nourishment, warmth and emotional contact. Nearly all men and all women have forgotten what this is about; what it feels like. I hope you have not forgotten but if you have, you will be reminded in one form or another. That could be within your own body or emotional sphere, or those of someone you are close to. Be honest about your needs and what you feel. Communication is essential.

Gemini (May 20-June 21) — Chiron’s ingress into Taurus for you is about having inner vision. Exposure to digital conditions has turned us all inside out. To some extent, we live in the mirror of the phone, and exist in the hall of mirrors of social media. Chiron moving into Taurus, which is your 12th house, is about re-embodying yourself in tangible form. It’s about allowing what is interior to be interior. The total invasion of inner space by digital technology has created many different crises in society and for many individuals. If there is no interior being, it’s difficult to have a conscience; and if there is no inner being with a conscience, there is no “us” in relationships, in groups or in greater society. You may feel a shift all at once; you may feel it gradually. In either case, your direction of travel is inward, toward deeper personal ethics and morality.

Cancer (June 21-July 22) — If your social existence has been lacking in recent times, Chiron’s ingress into Taurus will give you an advantage. Yet with anything related to Chiron, there’s always the element of the outsider or the outcast. That is likely to represent you within your environment. It does not take much these days to be different. All you need to do is be alert and pay attention and suddenly you’re a real weirdo. It’s like you have a spotlight shining on you. However, I would propose that this is more manageable and more productive than feeling invisible. A little social friction is easier than a slippery, wet floor, or an empty room. Being different is the small price you’ll pay for being known to exist. And in your new social role, you are emerging more boldly both as student and as teacher. Both, not one or the other. They are part of the same thing.

Leo (July 22-Aug. 23) — Chiron’s entry into Taurus will mostly affect what astrologers call your “career angle,” or your 10th place. You have Taurus here, and Taurus is about one’s voice. I’ve dropped the concept of a career from my work as an astrologer, in place of the much more meaningful concept of vocation: that is, calling. This word has the same root as vocal, which brings us back to Taurus. Chiron is going to be calling you to do something new, or rather, to experience something new that is much more grounded in the truth of who you are. You’ve just experienced seven years of Uranus through Taurus, which I could describe (using that word I no longer use) as career chaos. Chiron is more focused, more solid and clearer in its intent, which must be your intent.

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sep. 22) — Chiron is closely associated with several signs, and the first that most people think of is Virgo. Chiron is about to change signs for the first time in nearly a decade, and on Friday will enter Taurus for the first time since 1977. Taurus is the sign associated with your spiritual views, which take the physical, tangible form of that sign. They are also closely associated with Goddess worship; it’s not just that Virgo itself is the sign of the threefold Goddess. Far more than a concept, identity or an idea, your experience of divinity is based in the Earth and based in the physical form of who you are. In the digital onslaught it is Gaia itself that is being left behind, and you are on the recovery team. There is a quest involved. It will summon you in bolder ways over the next nine months. Listen and feel closely.

Libra (Sep. 22-Oct. 23) — Taurus, the feminine Venus-ruled sign, presents a kind of parallel world in your chart: one where others enter your life, and where you form bonds with them. Circumstances represented by the past seven years of Uranus in Taurus have been disruptive to your stability. It seemed like no agreement could hold and that everything was built on shaky ground. Chiron enters Taurus tomorrow and represents a reversal of this situation. It will take time; there will be some testing and experimenting necessary over the next years; it will take focus to work out lingering issues. Chiron always reveals the weak link in the system but there is a special condition. While that factor has the power to break the system, it’s also where you find an integrated solution to get you to the next level of ability or success. As a matter of the 8th house, your first focus is on contracts, whether business, ‘sacred’ or other agreements.

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 22) — Chiron enters your opposite sign Taurus on Friday for the first time since 1977. If you’re in the 45 to 51 age range, this also means you’re having, or about to have, your Chiron return. More on that another time; it is the most significant transit of your life so far. And so, too, is the entry of Chiron into your opposite sign, whether you’re Scorpio Sun or rising. You are a relationship-focused person. Whatever happened the past seven years in your relationships has changed you in ways you may not recognize. Chiron’s entry into this area of your chart, and of your life, will serve as a point of focus for where growth is necessary. One thing is certain, in a world that changes more in a day than it changed in a year not long ago: growth is essential. The first things to evaluate are your expectations. Take your time.

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 22) — For a few years, your focus has largely been on either managing or resisting your creative fire. You would know which. It’s been difficult for you to get into a groove, a set of habits, that make you productive in a consistent way. This is about harnessing energy more than anything, and that takes routines that must be as flexible as they are dependable. That’s also an approach that you will benefit from taking with others. Chiron, a planet closely associated with the questing nature of Sagittarius, is entering your house of work and productivity — Taurus, your 6th place. This is about the disciplined harnessing of your creative powers, your ideas, and your quest for identity. You may feel like you’re only harvesting a small amount of your energy while the rest goes to waste. The first statement is true; the second statement is not.

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 20) — Chiron now enters your fellow earth sign Taurus. This is your 5th place, associated with pleasure, play, risks and creative flow. You need these things dearly. And they are probably not what you think. Creativity is not the rock concert. It’s the long process that got it onto the stage. Creativity is not the book but rather all the crumpled up pages strewn on the floor, filled with false starts. Creativity is the pain of growth and the fulfillment that can come only from that experience. Chiron always represents process, not product. Taurus represents something tangible, physical, in the real world of both substance and form. You might start with a hobby: something like gardening. If you want to do art, I suggest working in three-dimensional form, such as stone or clay, to entirely evade the world-flattening power of the digital environment. And though few would dare to say it in our moment and era, let there be sex.

Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 19) — The sensuous, sensual sign Taurus represents your emotional base, your home base and your tap root into the Earth. This goes against the whole concept of what we’re told Aquarius is — all in its head. That can be true at times, especially here in the ongoing electrocution experience of the digital environment. Also, you’ve been driven a little extra out-of-body by the experience of Uranus in Taurus the past seven years, which just ended recently. Now a new phase of your journey begins, with Chiron in Taurus. This is about keeping your bare feet on the ground and connecting to your home planet. It’s about feathering your own nest — an absolute must for anyone with Taurus associated with what is called the 4th place. And your healing process naturally goes in the direction of the somatic: that which is centered on your body. Meantime, if your mind is overactive, write it all down in a notebook with a pen or pencil. You can always jam it onto the internet. But you want that sensation of the quill scratching the parchment.

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20) — On Friday, Chiron enters Taurus. Pisces and Taurus are two of the most closely related signs, embodying the feminine and joined by the planet Venus. Chiron’s trip through Aries (2018-present) has been just a little too hot and distressing for you. The world has become a bizarre mindless TikTok ego-trip of the ages, and this is not your thing. Chiron in Taurus will feel like a cool dunk on a sweltering day. It will also help you focus your thought processes and creative flow, though there will be an adaptation process. Taurus, though earthy and Venus ruled, is one of the most mental signs, and Chiron will help you tap that power as a conscious act. You will find yourself changing the narrative as an act of will, of necessity and of desire. Every time you read the words “Chiron in Taurus,” translate it to “new story.”
