Planet Waves Monthly Horoscope for September 2023 | Go To All Signs

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 20) – Whatever you think you may be concerned with, the bottom line is a spiritual question. And what exactly is that? Something related to the essence of your being. We could say that your higher self is trying to get your attention, and remind you that it’s your actual self. Make contact with your higher calling and realize it’s your one and only calling; so too is your higher knowledge what you actually know. Remote possibilities are right in your immediate vicinity. Under current circumstances, aspiration means the world reaching toward you. All of this is one thought, which reveals how much is contained in the present moment and in your present state of being. Let this One Thought guide your action. You seem ready to do something; ready to take on a challenge, a fight or a struggle. Please, let it not be against yourself. Do whatever you do in a beautiful way. Experience and express the beauty of your choices — whatever you’re up to, bring in the aesthetic factor; the element of balance and the love for truth. And remember, as someone once wrote long ago, “We are equal beings and the universe is our relationships with one another.”

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 20) – You are in an unusual stage of your life where you have opportunities to resolve old business, and be done with it. This is not the kind of thing that will happen overnight, though in the scheme of things, you can take an efficient route to wrapping this up. This includes all matters related to the structure of your life, especially financial or involving real property or taxes. If you follow astrology, the development I’m describing involves Pluto returning to your sign prior to moving into Aquarius. The time frame is a little over one year, and during that time, there are phases where old business morphs into new business. The imagery describes financial independence, which you must define carefully. This will begin with a plan to address matters of credit and debt, first and foremost. You can view the whole experience as a long, living meditation on what really matters to you the very most. From a spiritual perspective, this is the whole point of what you’re going through: the opportunity to ask the single most important questions in life, all of which involve your priorities and your values. Engaging this level of thought is the ultimate expression of self-leadership.

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 20) – The Sun’s journey through your opposite sign can be a challenging time of year, though it will be easier if you know what to look for. Cancer is also called your “solar 7th house” and is a kind of cosmic mirror where you can see what is going on with you below the verbal or mental level.

You can look at life as a diorama of your own thoughts and feelings. Make sure you see this as a kind of show, rather than a reality being imposed on you. Keep just a little distance, and take the opportunity to observe. The Sun will make many aspects along its course the next few weeks, which will each reveal something new about your existence. You can use this information to make decisions, adjust your point of view, and see your options.

There will be a series of juncture points — events that might manifest as a little crisis, or a chance encounter, or a situation where you’re presented with a decision to make. Treat each one of these as if it matters: as if each is a significant intersection point where which way you turn matters. Know when you’ve reached one, and proceed with full awareness rather than the usual techno half-sleep of our society.

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 20) – Pluto returns to your sign this month, where it spent most of 2008 through early 2023. There will be two such visits, through the second half of 2023, and in late 2024. Then Pluto moves into Aquarius, where it will remain for the next two decades. The two retrogrades into Capricorn represent important phases of completion. One thing you’re wrapping up is what you’ve learned about the world. Your observations have led you to certain conclusions that you simply cannot deny. Yet you will benefit from asking questions.

You will benefit from challenging any belief that you discover you are holding: this will keep your mind alive and young. The fact that Aquarius is involved means that, as you embark on the next phase of your life, you must remain mentally flexible. Keep your priorities limber. Allow yourself to rearrange your agenda periodically. This is for two reasons. Any emphasis on Aquarius will come with a certain degree of things crystallizing. Any emphasis on Pluto has a potentially destructive effect.

The combination of factors says to keep your molecules dancing freely rather than growing dense and concentrated. As time goes on, it will be tempting to think of everything as a matter of power. This has been one of your most important areas of study. Yet that is not true. What we think of as power is merely a distortion. The natural world runs without electricity, petroleum or politics. The tides move; the seasons change; the light plays beautifully upon the Earth. That is your world.

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 20) – The creative bug must seem like a swarm of butterflies or maybe even grasshoppers right now. With many other influences out of the way, the dominant energy of your chart is coming in through your house of art and adventure, which also happens to be the house of financial speculation.

This is all in your fellow earthy sign, Taurus, your solar 5th house — which is potentially undeveloped territory for you. Not only is there no escaping now; I cannot imagine why you would want to. Except for one thing, and this deserves a whole article. Society is deeply biased against matters of the 5th. Kids are talked out of doing the things they love, or are told they will be a failure.

Success is measured only in money, not satisfaction with life. Creative endeavors — from opera to grants for artists — are cut out of government budgets like they are a total waste. In fact, our lives would be terrible without the work of people who somehow overcome this extreme bias and contribute many forms of beauty. By the time most people are adults, they have either given up, or their lives are so full of commitments that they have no sense they could ever learn to express what is uniquely their own, from the inside out. Getting in contact with this drive, need, impulse or desire used to have a name — inner child work.

It’s an essential form of self-therapy to get in touch with your inner kid and make sure he or she has some room to explore. It’s likely that you have some natural ability that you have carried forward from when you were much younger. And the thing to do with that gift, no matter how modest, is something fun for its own sake.

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 20) – The central question of Pluto working the territory between Capricorn and Aquarius is, for you, what action is the fruit of your knowledge? You have learned so much, plenty of it from experiences that you did not want at the time but today would not trade for anything. For the next 18 months, you will have a series of opportunities to consolidate your knowledge through various practical endeavors, putting it to work. The emphasis of your chart is, during this time, shifting to the social realm, though this may have turned you off the past few years, as you figured out how many people sacrificed their intelligence to the god of conformity. But note that the social realm is changing rapidly and there are various levers, wedges and blasting zones where the established, entrenched pecking order is going to split apart and unravel. People who are living their lives and conducting business with the ethics more suited to Twitter are in for a cold awakening. Under the influence of Pluto in Aquarius, many people are getting the message that they were brainwashed, though this may first show up as the recognition that everyone else seems to have succumbed. Therefore, there are openings for you to explore new social territory, and to assert your individuality in ways that seemed impossible or painful three years ago. The gradual departure of Pluto from your sign means that you must begin to provide your own evolutionary impulse; your own drive to change and grow as a voluntary act, rather than as something you are forced to do based on your circumstances.

Planet Waves Monthly Horoscope for March 2023 | Go To All Signs
By Eric Francis Coppolino

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 20) – Pluto in your sign since 2008 has driven you through a complete rearrangement and restructuring of your existence, over and over again. You have been living under the direct influence of the unstoppable force, and this has taken some time to get acquainted with. And then you come to depend on it, and as the eminent Martha Lang Wescott said, we miss it when it’s gone.

For the next 18 months or so, Pluto will be working its way from your sign into Aquarius. This will be an important transition, and at no time will you lose the power of this most amazing planetary system. Yet there will be a shift in emphasis; when a planet moves from the 1st place to the 2nd place (i.e., from your own sign to the next), the calling is to recognize your true priorities. That means knowing what comes above all else, and acting on that knowledge. The emphasis shifts from self-knowledge to what you do about it. If there have been many times in recent years, by which I mean a long swath of the past, where you just could not focus your thoughts, Saturn entering Pisces will help. Neptune lingering here for many years has made it difficult to determine what is true and what is not; Saturn will drop a lens in front of your perception and you are likely to see the world in a whole new way.

Yet because it represents the reality principle, you may need to come to terms with past errors in judgment, some of them serious. Most of us accept that it’s unethical to deceive another person, though there is little comment on the ethics of believing what is not true. Just remember to leave the window open for possibilities that you may not understand. None of this is about belief; it’s about your process of recognizing the truth.

Planet Waves Monthly Horoscope for February 2023 | Go To All Signs
By Eric Francis Coppolino

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 20) — This month brings the last of 20 conjunctions between Mercury and Pluto in your birth sign. Over and over again, sometimes a few times a year, Mercury has fused with the influence of Pluto in an effort to deepen your mind, and activate the God-seed that Pluto has been furrowing and planting within you. The role of Mercury is to bring this to awareness; borrowing from Krishna, it is “the mind of the senses and the consciousness of creatures.” This is necessary with Pluto, which often acts invisibly and out of awareness. Mercury will bring the issues right to the front. No planetary influence has or ever will have the kind of impact and influence on you as Pluto moving through Capricorn. Events have taken you apart and put you back together. You have been compelled to get to the bottom of every last facet of who you are. This went deeper than other potent transits such as Uranus and Neptune, peaking in 1993. Mercury conjunct Pluto (which I also describe in the Virgo reading above) is here to remind you of what you’ve been through and what you have become. While you will always be a work-in-progress, events this month will bring a spark of awareness to just how much progress you have made since this day (January 26) in 2008, when Pluto first entered your sign. In the spirit of good therapy, give yourself credit for enduring all you’ve been through, for learning all that you’ve learned, and for doing what you may have been certain was impossible.

Planet Waves Monthly Horoscope for January 2023 | Go To All Signs
By Eric Francis Coppolino

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 20) — Friday’s gorgeous New Moon in your birth sign is a reminder that you have everything you need. All the basic resources, and the people who might assist, are close to you. And if anything is not there, it’s available with a little effort. This is true even if you don’t feel that way (which would be understandable, given the chaotic state of the world). Most of what you need is within you: the knowledge, the ability, the sensitivity and most of all the energy to do most of what you need and even some of what you want. However, the New Moon — joined by many planets, including Mercury and Venus — is suggesting that you stop and conduct an assessment of your priorities and your goals. It’s critical that you use your energy efficiently, and not waste any on what is unnecessary, or on what you wanted yesterday or 10 years ago. The New Moon aligns with another factor: Jupiter has arrived in Aries to stay, clear through its move into Taurus in mid-May. Take advantage of the potential, the optimism and the substance of Jupiter, which you can draw on like energy from a power source. To do this, the first place to reach for what you need — whether material, spiritual or intellectual — is within yourself. You have it all.
