Goddesses: Ceres, Juno, Pallas, Vesta
Vesta and the Great Attractor | March 23, 2007
VESTA is fast approaching the Great Attractor in Sagittarius, which will push this energy into prominence as she reaches the 200th anniversary of her modern discovery. Vesta is an asteroid, the brightest asteroid, and the Great Attractor is an intergalactic point so massive that it’s pulling a million or more galaxies toward it at an extremely brisk pace. The GA is both a magnifier, spreading the effects of things far beyond where we can see them; and a polarizer, which tends to divide opinions, feelings, push us into taking sides and generally raise awareness of dualism. It has shades of extreme Sagittarius and supersized Gemini.
Vestal Solstice: The Sacred Space of Self | June 19, 2009
In this article I’ll do my best to describe the qualities of Vesta in a way that makes it possible to feel and experience them — and to put them to use in our relationship experiences. Vesta is primarily about tending the fire within. That fire, and that experience of constantly caring for it, becomes the focal point for organizing space; that is, the psychic space of our lives, our priorities, and our beliefs.
Vesta Conjunct Uranus: The Unusual Journey of Self | June 20, 2019
Vesta has been one of my areas of focus through my astrological life. When I write or talk about Vesta, I get an unusual response from my readers — a true resonance. I have my own take on this asteroid, who was named for the Roman goddess of the hearth, the home and the family. She was one of the 12 “Dii,” or supreme deities of the Roman pantheon.
Vesta Full Moon: From the Inside | November 10, 2019
I discovered the basic essence of Vesta one cold winter 23 years ago. I had just rented and moved into a house with a wood stove, for the first time. We didn’t have enough money to fill the oil tank. The previous tenants had left us a small woodpile, but it had been out in the rain for as long it had been standing there. But it was all we had to heat with, and we definitely needed to do something.
The Dream of a Common Language — With Yourself | May 10, 2020
On Wednesday, Venus turns to retrograde motion in Gemini. The retrograde effect has been present for a while, as Venus and Vesta have been moving through Gemini in a long conjunction, which culminates over the next couple of weeks. The retrograde lasts through June 25, though Venus finally leaves Gemini and enters Cancer on Aug. 7. I consider that the duration of the process.
Tantra Studio: Venus and Vesta in Gemini [with transcription] | June 9, 2020
Tonight I have a special Full Moon edition of Tantra Studio, focused on Venus in Gemini, Vesta in Gemini and Venus retrograde in conjunction to Vesta. This is followed by a teaching called “The Erotic Power of No, by Aditi Amrita.” If you find the material on this page helpful, interesting of fun, you are invited to visit the Book of Blue Compilation, a small collection of written, audio and visual art related to the topics I address below.
