Planet Waves Monthly Horoscope for September 2023 | Go To All Signs
By Eric Francis Coppolino
Libra (Sep. 22-Oct. 23) — Mars moving through your sign is pushing you to make your mark on the world. It will also dredge up all the reasons in the past that you have not done so. You may be familiar with how, when you step up your energy, you uncover a new layer of concealed issues that you must work through efficiently, or they slow you down. These are likely to relate to family matters, as Mars is talking to potent, slow-moving elements currently in Capricorn (your 4th solar house): that’s the family part. This is stuff that may be about your grandparents, though really it will go back to your “tribal” history (your nationality, your family’s immigration story, and related matters). You can draw strength from the discoveries you make, and from tapping into the strength of your bloodline. Overall, this is a time to connect to your ancestors. Dust off their photos. Say their names. Remember who they are, and tap into the ones who loved you the most. You can even visit their graves and pay homage to their lives any way you can. These slow-moving aspects are not going anywhere any time soon; you will be living with them for a long time. Consider them an oil well, or a vein of gold.

Libra (Sep. 22-Oct. 23) — It’s frightening the extent to which we have all become public people. For some that means at least being their own publicist. For many, there is the constant and relentless aspiration to notoriety and fame, just because that’s the thing to do. Venus retrograde in the most social angle of your chart is calling on you to reassess this whole situation, for yourself and also in the environments where you connect with your fellow humans. Be sensitive to the ways we’re conditioned to be our own press agents night and day, bouncing around the hall of mirrors of ego identity like a laser chased by a cat. Sincerity is difficult for most people; it’s rather itchy and scratchy. Alan Cohen writes about the person who stood up at a worship and said, “I tried being myself, but it was too difficult,” so instead, he pretended to be someone else. Meanwhile, the real person in there is lonely and isolated. Your ruling planet Venus moving retrograde is your opportunity to practice sincerity at all times. For example, you get to be the same person with everyone, all the time — rather than mixing and matching to suit what you think is expected. Go past any discomfort and experience the odd joy of being real without compromise.

Libra (Sep. 22-Oct. 23) — Your ruling planet Venus turns to one of its rare retrograde phases later this month. This happens in what has become one of the most complicated houses in all of astrology — the 11th, that of groups, and contact with the limited public.
Something strange has happened in the age of social media, which is that nearly everyone has been thrust into being some kind of public personality, as apart from their actual person. This is becoming a painful split. It’s difficult for many people with a lot of experience and a good reason for being known. You may already be feeling the instinctual guide to carefully curate what you present publicly.
This practice will help remind you that what goes out to the public — small or large though it may be — is a performance or presentation, and that your actual life cannot be one. For sure, aspire to total sincerity. Be artful in all that you do. Taking actual risks is a sign that you’re alive and conducting your life force through what you create. The retrograde will give you an opportunity to read the public, as well as to retreat into a more deeply self-aware space. The two will go together well.

Libra (Sep. 22-Oct. 23) — The seeming complexity of your financial affairs will soon give way to a much simpler picture. Yet you will need to keep making decisions to reduce, remove, scale down and let go of what is not working. By that I mean really working, at least paying its own way and not causing too much trouble. From time to time this is a necessary exercise. Now with Jupiter providing you with opportunity and potentially with people interested in what you’re doing, you must free up the bandwidth for that to manifest.
This is the “decrease” suggestion from the I Ching, the more important even if you may be in a state of relative abundance. While you’re decreasing on the material level — and there is plenty you can subject to this idea — I suggest you look around for people and activities that are a time drain. We usually think of profits in terms of dollars earned over costs. I suggest you think of profit another way: as the liberation of hours and days previously occupied by something else.
At this stage of your life, you face a special challenge: unraveling the many ways that other people have dibs on your personal resources, of all kinds. Too often, you start with plenty, and then there is not enough left for you. You will need to be logical about how you figure this out, keeping count of both money and time. While love cannot be measured, whether someone holds a balanced place in your life must be subjected to evaluation. This can seem cold; not everyone wants to go there. Yet is it not a fact that your life is your own? It’s worth asking why every person who has access to you has that possibility open to them. It’s worth questioning every dollar, pound or euro that you spend, and making sure you get something back for your investment; or let it be a charitable donation.
Planet Waves Monthly Horoscope for May 2023 | Go To All Signs

Libra (Sep. 22-Oct. 23) — How many times have you violated your own intuition, only to regret having done so? I would reckon a good few. You are entering territory where you will know what is right, though you may doubt and second-guess yourself. But intuition is not guessing.
It is knowing without a specific, conscious reason to know, or it’s where the available clues lead, if you’re not resisting them. There are a few issues here, particularly in our mentally cluttered times. Intuition is quiet; many other voices squawk, screech or scream, so it’s difficult to actually know what you know. Intuition is also not instinct; that is more like the feeling of needing to scratch an itch. It is not belief; that is based on old information, usually incorrect.
The wider purpose here is knowing how to handle people in financial transactions. The eclipse in Scorpio on May 5 will rearrange and accelerate matters you considered settled, and bring you closer to understanding your professional goals. The astrology is now focused in Taurus, which is the angle of your chart where resources are shared, contracts are made, and obligations are fulfilled. There is way too much happening there right now to make any decisions that work out well for you. Retrograde Mercury describes missing information and potentially some form of deception. And Jupiter entering Taurus on the 16th will inform you of resources and advantages that you aren’t aware of yet.
So if my intuition as an astrologer is worth anything, postpone making any commitment that can wait, and work carefully to find out what you do not know. Be patiently observant — and do that rare and beautiful thing called noticing. Observing. Paying attention to what one thing means in the context of another. Ahh, the beauty.

Libra (Sep. 22-Oct. 23) — There is plenty going on that seems plenty important, which could distract you from your true mission. The distractions are related to the thing you want to focus on, but the difference is that there is a self-serving dimension to your true calling — it’s as much about you as it is about whatever you’re doing. This means focusing elements of your reputation, financial rewards, and building the future in a conscious way. Your daily activities may be similar under either approach. Yet the difference I am talking about is making sure that you come out ahead in the process. You are normally so devoted to doing things for their own sake that this does not occur to you. But now would be a good time to focus on this priority. There is so much energy moving through your world, you can harness a little of it to rise up in the world. One reward of this will be getting over another load of your hesitation and insecurity, nearly all of which comes from your family. Consider a simple formula to make up your mind, in the case of a dilemma. What is the most daring route you can take? Given several options, which is the one that requires courage, and also comes at a greater risk? That’s where you’ll have the most fun and stand to reap the greatest rewards. Pluto in Aquarius will not be a barrel of laughs for everyone, though you are specially poised to gain the greatest rewards. Yet this requires invoking a certain boldness and willingness to challenge the social status quo. In other words, risking what some call “unpopularity” will work well for you, especially if you keep your deeper policy of doing things because they are the thing to do.
Planet Waves Monthly Horoscope for March 2023 | Go To All Signs

Libra (Sep. 22-Oct. 23) — From the look of your chart, people will enter your world this month who could become lifelong influences, whether teachers, friends, or partners. Having said that, I would add that when you encounter a new person, it’s essential to set aside your expectations and predictions, and let experience be your teacher. You have many facets of how you can relate to others. You can speak any language, from a social and professional point of view.
So communicate in the style with which others approach you, and listen until you understand their modus operandi and their agenda. Everyone has both; paying attention to this will help ensure that you understand how and why you may be relating to anyone you meet. It’s not necessary to agree with them on everything; liking someone is enough to deserve your interest. In another angle of your chart, Pluto enters your creative, expressive 5th place, Aquarius. This is another expression of the social world as an art form. Pluto will give you the chutzpah and the mental acuity to stand apart from any crowd or collective that would try to influence you, and to take leadership in a bold way — when you know you’re called to do so.
Pluto in the 5th is also the invitation to dive off of the deep end into your creative priorities, making sure that you give yourself time to have openings where nothing else matters. Creative includes the space to explore your feelings, your sexuality, and certain specific group experiences in a way you have long been called to, but have never had the opportunity. Pluto in Aquarius will open up many, many new possibilities for you, as long as you are open to what may seem a little strange or off-menu. So stay flexible and alert, and allow yourself to be inspired.
Planet Waves Monthly Horoscope for February 2023 | Go To All Signs
By Eric Francis Coppolino
Libra (Sep. 22-Oct. 23) — This is a beautiful month for forming all kinds of relationships, from social bonds to professional partnerships to sexual relationships. While it will help to know what you want, what’s available will surely extend beyond what you are familiar with. Jupiter moving through Aries, your relationship zone, is magnifying the features of an entirely different landscape than it did when it was last here 12 years ago. The central feature is Chiron in Aries, which is helping you reorient your relationships. Chiron will take a conjunction from Jupiter on March 12, and that will be warming up from now until then. This may come with various revelations of the kind, “Oh, that’s what [whatever person or situation] is really about.” This aspect also suggests that you are the person with the translation and negotiation skills, and that you stand to benefit from using them to work out common ground in your relationships. Studying the times we are living in, it seems everyone is obsessed with doing their own thing, and does not enter into a collaboration unless they are paid to do so. This is ridiculous. Collaboration is one of the most effective forms of getting challenging or creative tasks accomplished. We are all in a position to support the work of others, and to have our work supported by others. I suggest you be generous with your personal resources (especially your ideas and special talents) and openly ask for the help and collaboration you think you need. Remember, though, that you are the one who holds certain specific keys, and teaches the common language.

Libra (Sep. 22-Oct. 23) — Jupiter has entered your opposite sign, Aries, for which I suggest you raise a glorious Praise the Lord. Resources and helpful people are in your environment. Some of them (at least one in particular) will go the distance with you. Therefore, welcome new people into your life, and do what you can to get to know them (making no assumptions about who they are). You don’t need to make any commitments, nor do you need to accept any — though it will help immensely to listen to where people are coming from, and note carefully the things they admit to you about their values, attitudes and priorities. Over the next few weeks, various circumstances and events will put you and others through a test of your commitment. This is always best demonstrated in real life, and real time, rather than in an “experimental” setting. You are learning how to be emotionally independent and self-assured in a way that preserves your vulnerability, which means your humanity. Know the symptoms when you or someone else starts to act like a robot. Factor your feelings as well as the “data” into every decision you make. Study people’s eyes when they speak to you, on any matter whatsoever. That will reveal more than their words ever could.
