Aries (March 20-April 19) — Be careful to understate and not exaggerate your situation, no matter what it is. “Hyperbole” — the full word for what we now call “hype” — has overtaken just about everything. The result is disappointment, and for those who practice this false art, a loss of credibility. Of course, that matters little if you don’t care about whether you’re a sincere person, or understood to be such. Resist all temptation and mellow out about how you describe yourself and your activities. Even small exaggerations could lead to more serious deceptions, and that would not serve anyone. People often base their self-esteem on whether people believe the hype they spew, or worse, whether they believe their own press releases. Forget it. Keep it simple, be truthful and be real. Trust me, kid — these essential expressions of good character will get you far.
Taurus (April 19-May 20) — When you connect with who you are, the experience is exhilarating. But then you may wonder whether it was real. And then you forget that it happened. If you can stay with the question of reality, you will learn something important about the way your psyche is structured. It’s as if there is part of you standing on the stage of life, and part of you that you left back in your dressing room that’s waiting for the show to end. If you can bring those two seemingly different faces of your being together, you will have the experience of being alive like you never have before. You will let go of the self-reproach that characterizes so much of how you feel. You will finally be able to drop your mask and experience your own beauty.

Gemini (May 20-June 21) — Mars is moving deeper into your creative zone. This is the same concept as sexual exploration. You get to use this energy as you wish, though I suggest not “sublimating” and trying to do one thing instead of another that you want more. The spiritual test here (if we could call it that) is how responsive you are to your own desires. Mars is involved; this is your opportunity to align curiosity with motivation and what may feel like urgent necessity. You can take a ride on an obsessive quality that shows up, connecting your deepest instincts to an intuitive or visionary sense. This isn’t what you would call a “normal human emotion” by the standards of going to the supermarket. You may feel like you’re way over the line of what is acceptable — a rare gift.

Cancer (June 21-July 22) — Notice your sense of what you must sacrifice. There is probably either a misunderstanding, or some issue with how you’ve prioritized your commitments. Also there’s a matter of what you feel is worth risking and what is not. You might start there — deciding what involves taking a chance, and your ideas about what might be gained or lost if you do. Mercury was retrograde only recently in Leo, your house that includes assets and also describes your values and priorities. This has left you risk-averse when the thing you may need to do is actually dare to go further — and to do more with less. Definitely look around and give up what you know you don’t need. You may also discover that something you want to buy is already sitting in a closet or supply shelf.
Leo (July 22-Aug. 23) — Your self-respect must come from having faith in yourself. It’s possible to focus on (or obsess over) all the insults and injuries of the past. That’s not faith. It’s possible to pump yourself up with all the supposed reasons you’re so beautiful or powerful (a homespun program or course is announced every 20 minutes). But that’s not about your relationship to yourself. Faith implies doubt; success involves overcoming challenges; being who you are requires discovering who you are not. Getting answers involves asking real questions, and those can be annoying and inconvenient. All the substitutes seem easier, and they’re abundant. Click a few links and you can spend the next six months “discovering” how the Earth is flat and the dinosaurs didn’t exist (and on and on). Those things are diversions from your most important questions; the ones that follow you from lifetime to lifetime and are bubbling to the surface right now.
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sep. 22) — It’s time for you to have a good conversation with yourself in the presence of another person with whom you also need to have such a discussion. The idea here is not that you engage one another one-to-one but rather that you free-associate, essentially talking to yourself, in the presence of someone who deserves to know the truth about you. You might do this into a mirror to emphasize that this is between you and yourself; while at the same time admitting that there are times when an intimate partner should know what’s really on your mind. You excel at a kind of inscrutability that I credit to a chameleon-like quality that allows you to be anything to anyone — for a while. You know the ways that has been problematic in the past. You have always wanted to take off your mask and face the person you love.

Libra (Sep. 22-Oct. 23) — You may find it easier to have a difficult conversation with a friend or partner; this window will last for a few days so take advantage of it while it’s there. Even if you ask a few indirect questions, you will hear a few things that clear up miscommunications of the past few weeks. However, it’s essential that you do this diplomatically and without the meekest insinuation that they were hiding something. The chances are they were not, but even if so, play it cool. The same astrology can help you get a better sense of what’s going on in any group situation, such as among friends or in an organization (not likely to be connected to your job). Just keep your ears peeled for openings; Mercury trine Chiron and Eris is going to blow by fast, it’s in range now, and it will come with important discoveries.
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 22) — You have a glorious opportunity to deal with any feelings of resentment you may experience. If you’re one of the few blessed souls who’s not afflicted by this emotion, or its first cousin guilt, count yourself fortunate. If you have such feelings but don’t stoke them, count yourself fortunate. However, if you’re done with guilt and resentment, now is the time to gain some understanding. Homeopathy defines resentment as malice; a sound therapy definition of guilt is resentment turned on yourself. You will not sort this out only through mental means; the root is emotional, and it requires engaging the feelings before letting go of them. Someone set this up before you were verbal and could not reason or defend yourself. See if you can tap into that preverbal feeling of helplessness. That’s where your healing process will begin.

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 22) — You have a rare opportunity to express some deeply held feelings. Yet the way your chart is arranged, you might choose not to, or avoid the topic entirely. “Express” could mean verbally or visually. You have never been closer to your true creative potential than you are right now. Yet this is a ‘use it or lose it’ kind of moment. You don’t need to share what you make with anyone else; it may be best to keep it to yourself for a while, as part of your inner dialog. And in this respect, it’s an important doorway into a reality you contain and may not be able to fully see right now. Be patient and keep in mind that there is no perfection, only what you learn along the way to becoming who you are in your deepest potential.

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 20) — Initiate the difficult decisions about sex and money, as they influence your household and the people in your home. People eschew these discussions; they become shy and avoidant; and then the pressure builds up. Rare aspects over the next few days provide a vent and an opening that will help release some of this tension. Start with simple, basic discussions, for example, focusing on the needs of each individual and then working into a group framework. Young people need the example of adults who can handle these discussions; heck, most adults need such an example. Be prepared for the conversation to go anywhere, because you will be opening a door; this includes making deep personal discoveries in the process of hearing what others have to say, and sharing your own feelings.

Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 19) — You can finally have a meeting of the minds on all the subject matter and issues that have been causing you such stress the past month or so. When you do, you will see how simple the misunderstanding was. They almost always are, and resolving them is, more than anything, about the willingness to do so. So therefore, take a light hand and let the conversation happen. If you do this right, you will do most of the listening — not most of the talking. The leverage you have is knowing that someone perpetuated a difficult situation when they didn’t have to. So presenting it as a misunderstanding is a kind of selling point. It gives both of you the advantage of saving face. This is an important concept in a world of alias names and AI-retouched images.

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20) — Among the many things being lost is the concept of a value. Usually it’s thought of as the price of an antique or a house. I’m not talking about monetary value — a price tag — but rather a personal, ethical commitment to a principle. Of all the signs, Pisces has the biggest imperative to be true to who you are. It is easy to slip; it’s easy to sell out, and most people do it cheap. Just frighten them or offer a treat and they cave in. Activity in Aries, your house of both personal identity and your guiding principles, is saying you have no wiggle room when it comes to actual honesty and staying aligned with your reality. The endless denial, delusions, deceptions, drink and drugs must not interfere. You must be real with yourself and others.
