Aries (March 20-April 19) — The reason for all of the layers of oppressive, moralistic suppression of sex is that it’s a force so powerful and so compelling that few people have the ability to manage it. So it’s controlled externally by various codes of speech and conduct, and a big wet blanket is thrown over how much fun you can have. And then it forces its way into all the wrong places, as various shades of scandal, sin and obsessive conduct. You’re about to go through a kind of erotic unraveling where your feelings will be getting your attention. By feelings, I mean the ones you don’t usually acknowledge and can’t talk about. Yet to enter this territory requires self-awareness and discipline, which these days is asking a lot. From the other direction, I would caution you that you’re most likely to do things you regret when you’re influenced by alcohol or (say for example) gummies. This is an exercise in admitting your true desire and making suitable decisions. That will be plenty daring.

Taurus (April 19-May 20) — The forthcoming Full Moon in your opposite sign Scorpio places a strong emphasis on your primary relationship. If you don’t have one of those, then it’s highlighting your ideas about relationships, or potentially a past partner in some form. Many factors in your chart are here to remind you that your most important relationship is to yourself. By this I don’t mean posting duck-lip photos to Instagram or the usual forms of petty self-worship that are a poor substitute for clinical narcissism. I mean your commitment to, and experience of, your own existence. Taking that further: your existence as a distinction in all the universe, calling forth your personal individual contribution to the whole. Existence is not passive, as we are being led to believe every single day. It is collaborative, with you as the leading partner in the dance of life. Leading means leadership. Leadership means stepping up to the challenges of existence, in this, your one and only life.

Gemini (May 20-June 21) — What differentiates you from other people are your values and your principles. If you ever feel lonely, it’s got something to do with that. Yet more than differences between values systems, the real distinction between people involves their willingness to actually act in accord with their core principles. It almost does not matter what they are; the thing is whether one is in alignment with themselves. What I’m getting at here is that inner alignment is a better reference of character than what one professes to believe. And this is what I suggest is the most important to you — and what you emphasize in your own movement through the world. Keep track of what you say and what you do and notice whether they converge. This is really not about other people, though you will start to become sensitive to this in others as well. It’s much easier to predict how people will respond when you have a sense of this theme.

Cancer (June 21-July 22) — The Scorpio Full Moon is activating your chart, though there is one place you must not be an activist — your intimate relationships. Instead, show your devotion by your willingness to listen. This is both inviting of trust and unraveling of concealed emotional agendas. The temptation to provoke the action of others will be strong. This includes any display of jealousy or envy. One question to assess is the extent to which your identity is invested in a relationship — meaning, you would not be the same person without it. And you might ask the same for any potential partner, though it may be more difficult to assess. This is the ultimate frailty of relationships, where a shock to the partnership is experienced as ego death (that, and that alone is the disruptive power of jealousy). Presuming good faith, the antithesis is to love anyone close to you for all of their feelings, and the full spectrum of their desires and their past experiences, spoken or unspoken.

Leo (July 22-Aug. 23) — The forthcoming Scorpio Full Moon seems to describe one of those situations where your home life is a long stretch from your professional life. But you only have “one life to live,” as the old soap opera put it so elegantly. So that means that despite any seeming parts, or seeming conflict between facets of life, you are one creature and you exist within one environment. I suggest you get the people around you on board — especially those closest to you. That means having a few conversations, finding out their priorities and sharing yours. You may think you know certain people well, for example, a close partner or spouse. Yet there is always room for discovery and that means room for growth. Life and relationships are either an exploration or they are totally boring. And at the moment, your whole world is about discovering new frontiers and stretching boundaries that seemed to hold you back in the past.

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sep. 22) — Who you are is always your choice. Yet in choosing, it seems like the first thing you encounter is all you’ve created until now. It’s impressive how much of past history and its implications can dissolve when the moment is right or when you’re committed to a new approach to existence. You might feel called to expand your horizons and explore new territory. However, Mercury squaring up with Pluto is calling you deeper into your inner world. Many of the obstacles you encounter are thought forms you hold onto inwardly. Addressing some of those aspects of yourself would be an excellent place to start. You will know you’re there when you encounter a form of inner pain that feels insurmountable. First, know that it’s not; and know that your awareness is the first step in your healing process. Do what you can not to pull away; and if you’re feeling a deep sense of isolation, that’s the price of having a soul.

Libra (Sep. 22-Oct. 23) — Does anyone want to talk about sex, or even think about it? Or are people content to complain? Content may seem like a strong word, though griping serves as a kind of pacifier — or maybe the word is narcotic. Underneath the simmering mess of both sex and relationships there are deeper truths, and it will help you to know one or two of them. Yet because those truths call for admitting sexual feelings and behavior, they are usually the first things that people avoid being real about. And the result is the abundance of sauce in which most people are lost and where their feelings are a morass. However, the good news is that usually, nearly everyone feels they are hiding just one thing about themselves. So, pretending that’s true, what is the one thing you’ve got tucked away where nobody else can find it? When you bring it to the light for anyone, you’re bringing it to the light for yourself. That’s where the healing is.

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 22) — Whatever may be troubling an intimate partner goes back a long way and has roots far deeper than their connection with you. We all bring all of the unfinished business of the past into every relationship situation, though usually it stays in the attic or the basement. Then there comes that time when the trunks and boxes need to be unpacked, and that’s likely to be what’s going on. Due to the mirror effect in relationships, you might check whether you’re in a similar situation. Meantime, do what you can to maintain an environment where a conversation can happen. It will help if you take the lead rather than trying to lead anyone to open up. Listen for clues and respond to statements and queries thoughtfully. Please back off from any form of ‘relationship activism’. And be aware that you will need to keep any jealous tendencies in check; they will only prevent a trustworthy situation where sincerity is possible.

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 22) — By all rights, this should be one of the most amazing times of creative breakthrough you’ve ever experienced. Yet you seem to be obsessed by your relationship situation and, by extension, willing to forego this opportunity. If that’s true, I would remind you that this kind of scenario is not necessary and is unlikely to work out in a way that you’re happy with. I am not suggesting you dismiss your commitments and involvements with others. Rather, I’m suggesting that you consider their nature, and the way you organize your life around them. It looks as though you’re really wanting a deeper relationship to yourself and seeking it in someone else. The more direct route is to be with yourself, which right now means the creative experiment that you call your life. Way too often it’s true that people avoid their real challenges by investing all or most of their psychic energy into relationships that are really not what they seem to be.

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 20) — If you’re feeling isolated, expressing yourself in some creative form is your best friend. Social media does not count. Get your hands into something physical and tangible — a notebook, clay, a musical instrument, paint — something that exists in the physical world. You are working something out that will find expression through your hands and substances with some weight and dimension. (All these pixels are slowly suffocating us.) Then there is the matter of eros or sexuality. Whatever you are feeling — and it appears to be significant — is calling for expression in words. Ultimately you are likely to have a special need you must communicate. And there is probably someone who you need to hear — but nobody more than you. Follow what your body is telling you. Your mind has some ideas, though describing your physical feelings will lead the way. You do not need to be ‘right’, only descriptive. And then let the conversation flow — gently. If you need something, ask directly rather than drop hints.

Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 19) — There are times when feelings come up that are so intense that they cannot possibly be about the minor situation that triggered them. This will be a good week to remember the wisdom of A Course in Miracles, which reminds us: I am never upset for the reason I think. This implies that any form of disturbance is emerging from something you’re not thinking of, may not have given a name, and may not even know about. What develops over the coming week or so will help you remember, or discover, something you want to heal. Healing begins with awareness, and for you this means physical, sensory experience in your gut and your heart center. This will radiate out to your hands and feet and neck muscles. Note that for many people, early family trauma and drama will be surfacing. That means pay attention to the distinction between what is yours and what belongs to others. Knowing how to use this boundary is a useful tool, in many different ways.

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20) — We have all heard that ideas themselves don’t count for much. Only their development and expression makes a difference. It usually goes like this: “Everyone has a great idea for a movie, but who makes one?” (Forget the fact that there are thousands of shows running on the major streaming services.) What counts now are your ideas, and your respect for them. I’m the only person I know who has a physical notebook and pencil with me ALL the time, and when I sit down in a restaurant (whether alone or with others), the notebook comes out and I’m jotting a line here and a line there. Then I review my notes regularly. I am suggesting you get with this program, because right now, ideas are what matters, and no dream catcher is going to capture them for you. Notice what you’re thinking, and treat it as a potentially valuable possession that you may never have access to again. That’s the first step.
